“A Tale of Two Telescopes: Amazing Images from NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope and Alfred University’s Rosing Telescope"
After almost 30 years of planning and testing, the JWST was launched on December 25th, 2021, and started producing amazing images in July. Alfred University’s latest telescope, a 24-inch installed in November 2019, but not used by students until Fall 2021, has also recently produced some wonderful images. David DeGraff, Prof. of Physics and Astronomy, will discuss how these two telescope are being used and the value of their results.
