I just made this. I used guacamole that I had on hand. I added 2 Tbs. Of almond flour to compensate for the moisture in the guacamole. I cooked it in a Belgian waffle maker and they stuck badly. I cooked up the last of the batter in a non-stick skillet sprayed with avocado oil. Then I topped it with taco meat and salsa and sour cream. Delicious! I even ate what I managed to scrape out of the waffle iron. Live and learn. Next time I’ll bake them as the recipe suggested.
So I made it again using whole avocados which were a little firmer than I’d hoped so I put them in a food processor. I did still use a little almond flour but otherwise followed the recipe and baked them in the oven. They turned out great! I got four out of my batch and had some for dinner. The last two will become a sandwich for lunch today.
I initially thought it was avocado *toast* but then I realized, no, it is avocado *bread*. It is such a unique thing to make. It looks really delicious! I'm gonna try it some time. Thanks for sharing!

Curious...approximately how much cheese are you using? What does it taste like? I imagine you could add spices (garlic, everything bagel, etc as an alternative flavor?) Looks interesting - I'm going to have to try it 🙂
You should add 1/2 US cup (~125 grams) of cheese. The taste is flavorful and delicious but you have to try it yourself. Of couse you can add spices (also seeds).
I don't have an air fryer so I can't say from my own experience. I think you should pre-heat the air fryer to 400ºF and bake it 20 min or until golden. You have to try it for yourself.
