I grew up in Glassboro and my Mom (Ellen Lydon who worked at GHS) loved Leo and Mary :-) . Great to see a video of the Boro (even though it's changed so much).
@@tommccabe3226 Aww. Best description of my Mom EVER !!!! Unfortunately she passed away in 2013 (F%&K Cancer). She was however still smart and sassy til the end :-) .
I used to live in Glassboro over 30 years ago, on New St. right by GSC. I hardly recognize it now, it's grown so much, and Rowan Blvd didn't exist. Great video, thank you for posting!
Great to see Glassboro inhabitants. Being strongly and correctly raised on Wilson AVE. Had to hunt. Bring home meat, fish, etc. Always thinking of you Deb. Please remember 18 WILSON Ave. Joe Diella, Tood Richards, Elisia Hurff, and my friend JM
This trip begins on US 322 eastbound leading into Glassboro. At approximately 1:45 the trip goes past the campus of Rowan University (formerly Glassboro State College) which is part of the New Jersey State University System and has been growing in student population in recent years. The trip goes down newly built Rowan Boulevard which is very attractive. I was impressed with the modern buildings and the park area with the fountains. The trip then went up High Street leading to NJ 47.
…. FROM My Area Of Philadelphia, this is just ABOUT(s) ... The Halfway Point to Wildwood, N.J. = "THEE" Vacation spot …. So when we SEE the GLASSBORO sign we get or at least used to get EXCITED and I always wondered how it was as a NJ TOWN itself?… How are the Police there, how are trhe schools and is there small towns within Glassboro itself as in like; cut off, is it a large part of town as a whole or smaller?.. TAXES? ....
Glassboro has always been a diverse town. What is wrong with that? I grew up there and never had any problems. Only reason I left is my hubby was in the Navy and we settled in Maine because we both had jobs here.
@@CharruaNYC I love visiting places, too, but I can't do that any more. That's why I subscribed to this channel. If you get near Rutherford again, please do another, longer video. Thanks.
Thanks for this. I'm from NJ and hadn't been to Glassboro since i was a kid. I had NO idea it has been this developed. It's really nice...
Grew up here, last time I was there was in 2004, would not know the place now.
That is my hometown...I am a Boro Boy and my Pop was Mayor for nearly 20 years..thanks for this

This town was a literal dump with one nice area AKA the college. I’ll never be going back again lol. Ghetto
Why are there so many African Americans in Glassboro nj? Not trying to be rude.
No clue it's just a very diverse town with not just lots of black people but lots of people from places like Turkey, Puerto Rico, Pakistan etc.
Why not?.....not trying to be rude lol we gotta be somewhere
