I think the idea of Zaytuna college was to produce the likes of him. Such a pity that none of his 5 boys want to follow in his footsteps and the legacy continues. I don’t think any of them even studied at zaytuna college. I guess not for everybody!
Inshallah you will. Pray to Allah to be close to the Sheikhs and Imams. I prayed and was blessed to go for Umrah, that too led by Shaykh Hamza. Make dua.
If you are unsure who to trust in these confusing times: Trust the courageous ones. Truth requires courage. Courage requires fortitude. Truth requires integrity. Cowards tell lies. Cowards support liars. Telling a lie is easy. Believing a lie is easy. Being compliant is easy. Staying silent is easy. Trusting without thinking is easy. Thinking for yourself is hard. Standing up for what is right is hard. Being real & authentic is hard. In times like these it takes all the courage in the world to question the states quo and to speak up and tell the Truth. Trust the courageous.

I love the part when the syakh reminded us that the reason why we are so taken by tribulations is because we are used to Allah's Ihsan. In fact we are supposed to be shaken from time to time. The concept of zilzal
Salam brother. I wanted to highlight the walking technique of Prophet Muhammad pbuh. I have been researching over 3 years and have concluded that it is more than a miracle. That we can actually copy it, it makes far more sense than what we currently do which is heel strike. Instead we should use our ankle joint, like we do when we walk down steps or skip rope. You can see sprinters in slow motion and they never even touch their heel on the ground as the best form they have managed to figure out. This is a forefoot, heels raised off the ground technique which uses the muscles instead of the joint damaging/muscle atrophying heel strike. I have uploaded some videos that you might find useful. I hope to hear your opinion on the matter
Very very interesting! Jazakallah Khair for sharing and bringing attention to something that can be beneficial both for our physical health and also fulfilling a sunnah ✨
Salaam great lecture! Here's a summary I made with AI: "In "In the Wake of Calamity," Shaykh Hamza Yusuf highlights the importance of understanding the nature of calamities and how to respond to them. He starts by reminding his audience that trials and tribulations are a part of life, and we will be tested in various ways. He explains that Allah sends calamities as a form of purification, to cleanse us of our sins and to draw us closer to Him. Yusuf suggests that gratitude and repentance are two ways we can respond to calamities. The shaykh stresses the importance of supporting one another during times of calamity, embodying brotherhood and offering emotional, financial or any other support to those in need. He further emphasizes the importance of being grateful for what we have and recognizing the blessings in our lives. Gratitude is a powerful tool that can help us cope with calamity and find peace amidst the chaos. Yusuf reminds us that patience is an essential aspect of faith, and it is something that we must cultivate to navigate through life's trials and tribulations. He concludes by reminding his audience that we must trust in Allah's plan, even when things seem uncertain or overwhelming."
