- This is my design team project for @Rubyandpearl.xo where I created this beautiful journal using a neutral color palette. So much beauty can be created when using neutrals 🤍🤍🤍
I used so many amazing digital kits from Heather @rubyandpearlxo and combined them along with authentic pieces to create this beauty. Wow! I always love watching what create, but this is beyond words. It looks as though each item in the journal was created with it's own design and purpose. This is beautiful journal. I am very inspired to attempt to make one. I really appreciate how you show the digital kits at bottom of screen. This is great help. Also, if possible could you share the embossing folders you used? There are so many embossed details and I loved them. I really love the delicate designs of the embossing you have highlighted. Thank you so much❤
Thank you! Many of the embossing folders I use are from Anna Griffin and they are retired designs. Sometimes you can find them on eBay. 🤍

This is a sophisticated and beautiful journal! I love that you see the beauty in old envelopes: delicate paper, cursive handwriting, and the suggestion of handwritten correspondence, which is nearly a lost art. They are like a window into another time! At 11:26, you show an envelope where you embossed a section of the front, and not the back. How did you manage to emboss just one side like that?

@@momma2cavalierssf Maybe one day I’ll teach but there are lots of UA-cam videos on making paper. My best advice is just dive in and try it, make a mess, and learn what works for you. If you don’t like how something turns out…try it again and again until it eventually becomes what you imagined it would be. 🤍🤍🤍

Madilyn here, This journal is just amazing. I had to watch the flip through 3 times to grasp all that you did on each page.
