I do enjoy the thought of Blue Diamond’s design being something that not even the artists and animators of the show could control, like they place their pencil on the sketch paper and their hands just start making her without any control on their end. She NEEDED to be as pristine as she was.
Pink and rose feel like two completely different people personality wise. Pinks actions felt short sited,childish, and selfish and rose’s felt like she was doing what she’s doing for the greater good and there was no other way to do it
One of my favorite shots of lapis lazuli, was the episode where lapis peridot bismuth and Connie were acting as the Crystal gems. And lapis lazuli was playing as amethyst and put her hair over one of her eyes. My God, one of the best images you're going to get of her.
I feel the reason why a lot of people including myself adore Lapis, and Spinel, is because trauma is something that makes people sympathize for you, admittedly, not all the time, but it presents an interesting character arc, and relationship, whether platonic or romantic. Look at Ken from Tokyo Ghoul for example. At the end of season 1, you've seen his whole character growth including trauma, while on outside appearance he just looks like an edgy anime boy, but on the inside, he still has a shadow of the kind lighthearted boy he was, but he locks it behind a cold exterior.

Ngl, Blue is my favorite Diamond, even above Pink/Rose/Steven. She had the most character development even before Change Your Mind and spotlight to her inner feelings because of how openly sad she is even in front of lower gems like the Pearls and it just feels so satisfying seeing her happy in Future and the movie compared to the other two. White is that one aunt trying to be hip and cool but failing miserably, while the writers had the worse miss opportunity to remove Yellow's helmet and actually change her military attire, cause it was stated that she's using a helmet, and that was not her actual hair. Also also, god damn Lapis is indeed best waifu. There's just something about her personality and petite design that gets me going...

Honestly imagine how NUTS it would have been if Pink would have had the balls to start the Rebellion as Pink Diamond. She could have done it, but she decided to hide as someone else. If she wasn't listened to as a Diamond and her status meant nothing, she should have MADE them listen as a Diamond.
