I've seen two full length videos about Relisha in the past and it was heavily speculated that the mother was pimping her out, and she knew exactly what he was doing to her daughter. I mean, between letting her go with a complete stranger and not even reporting her missing for extended time, she's a walking red flag.

Not spoken to her in a real long time and never plan to, but she went through men like nothing else, they cared a LOT more about me than my mother ever did. Exactly 💯 she's not even remorseful, couldn't care less and clearly she was pimping her out probably for drugs money.. unfortunately many female addicts do this if they have kids, seen plenty cases like this. Extra facts about the first spanish case. The analysis of the truck's tacograph showed that between the last stop (the restaurant) up until the accident - and hour an a half later- the truck made 12 very short stops, 2 secs, 5 secs, 3 secs...the last one being the longest, for 20-30 seconds. It's after that last stop that the truck begins to speed (140 km/h or 87 mph) and drive erratically and ultimately crashed. Investigators said that it makes no sense that amount of stops in such a short period of time , unless something was blocking the way and maybe, it was at that last 30 sec stop that the kid got kidnapped, which is the strongest theory of all here. It's very rare seeing you covering a spanish case, so that was a pleasant surprise, Mike! Thank you!

Thank you for covering Relisha Rudd’s story. I lived in DC at the time this happened and her story has never left my mind. There is so much more to her story as well, so many details that came out at that time about her mother, Tatum, the events at the hotel where his wife was found, so much. Just a heartbreaking story all around, and one that never really got much attention after it happened. So, thank you again for bringing Relisha’s story back to the public’s eye.

Obviously he was the last person known to be with the missing person, statistically if a women comes to a violent end, it’s usually a father, uncle, brother, partner or former partner. I’m sure the family had to strongly believe right from the start she’d met a tragic death.
This is why lawyers always, always say do not speak to the police. Just don’t. If you are formally arrested you should have only one word, lawyer.
Because if you don’t speak to the police, you will greatly extend your freedom especially if you are guilty.

Having seen Missing 401 and other disapearances of children in the woods, one thing i'm noticing is how authorities often underestimate the capabilities of children to walk and climb great distances. I remember a case where a child was found so far out of the search perimeter, they didn't believe she/he had gotten there themselves, even there was evidence that they had (clothes were ripped from barbed cattle fences in the path the child would have taken).

    • @daydreamers8254
      @daydreamers8254 7 місяців тому

simply because TOO MANY prosecutors do NOT WANT TO LOSE A CASE and tarnish their win % in court.
if all they have is Circumstantial evidence and NO BODY, then the odds of convincing a Judge is immaterial
you have to convince 12 hand picked MORONS, half of which are picked by the defendants expensive lawyers.
the state is not gonna fork much money over on a case of this nature.... unless a benefactor steps in or fund
raisers / crowd sourcing raises money to hire a hot shot that can really put the pressure on and convince the
6 morons the prosecutors got and convince the 6 morons the defendant's attorney picked knowing they'd be
near impossible to convince so you have to REALLY break their hard exterior and interior and morality.
they'd slander the missing girl and make the guy out to be really harmless and could NEVER do such a thing.
      its disgusting.
      several little phrases like
"if you wanna stay healthy, stay out of hospitals"
"if you want justice, STAY OUT OF A COURTROOM"
even if he is guilty, a guilty verdict is not 100% in a jury trial which is exactly what he'd do. spend a ton of money
on it; were you listening? he ENCRYPTED HIS PHONE SO POLICE COULD NOT GET INTO IT.. with modern technology.
idc if he encrypted it, go online, drop a couple hundred or more, any hacker would HAPPILY GET A KICK OUT OF
SOLVING A CASE BY BEING THE GUY WHO CRACKED THE ENCRYPTION.
also he didn't say how he encrypted it. how did they get cell phone tower ping locations but breaking the phone
wouldn't do anything from investigating it? he obviously isn't stupid.
so if he did murder her, he's going to get away with it.
if he ever goes to trial for it with ONLY THIS MUCH AS "EVIDENCE" - NO body and only tower pings
and they FAIL TO CHARGE HIM, then he will NEVER get charged if it is discovered 5 minutes after the case ends.
he could legit admit to it after the gavel is heard when the judge hears "not guilty" 12x and from the foreperson.
and they could not TRY him again because of DOUBLE JEOPARDY.
      do you get it now?
lawyers are disgusting. juries are generally the lowest IQ pool in america and that's a HARD TASK TO PULL OFF.
if you've ever served jury duty its either because you WANTED TO and you're nosy OR you're an idiot... who could
not get out of being part of someone else's life or death decision, arguing with 11 strangers, interrupting your life,
etc... for what? i do NOT trust juries and i do NOT trust police anymore.
if it was a case of an ATF agent, then they 10000% would NOT try the case EVER because ATF has almost trillions
and would without question tamper with the jury selection process and those who were picked.
life is cruel; we live on a prison planet. wake up

But I do know there is a ridiculous but sadly widespread prejudice that circumstantial evidence (as opposed to forensic evidence), is somehow weak/inferior, and in some eyes, not evidence at all. That is plainly ridiculous! In fact circumstantial evidence can be a powerful and compelling indication of a suspect's guilt.
A very learned British lawyer once explained forensic vs circumstantial evidence to me, in the following, brilliant way:
Forensic evidence, eg DNA, fingerprints, camera and phone data etc, is a single, unbreakable steel cable linking the suspect to the crime.
Compelling circumstantial evidence, in sufficient quantity, forms a multi-stranded steel cable that is every bit as strong as the single forensic cable - and indeed can be even stronger!

I don't know very well the case, but could be that the German couple drugged the father's coffe or something, then followed them and took advantage of the situation? It's odd to abduct a 10yo boy but Portugal is very close to Spain and it's like the European capital of child trafficking... could this being a theory?

I thought maybe he was snatched at the diner area and the parents gave chase in the truck. That could explain the irratic driving and why he wasn’t found. Maybe they pushed him from the truck when they realised they couldn’t control it and so he wouldn’t be in the crash and therefore he was much much further away.

I got lost in the tiny little woods by my town one day when me and a friend decided to leave the trail to take a "short cut". These woods are only about the size of 8 city blocks and it took us a good 30 minutes to get out of them and when we finally did we were on the complete opposite side from where we thought we were. It didn't really take a turn. One minute he's in Texas admitting he killed his parents for seeing his Cia diary (cause that's what spies do document their spy duties in a journal then leave it layimg around wherever) the next no one ever seen him again.

I don’t know why, but the added-in sound effects, like the truck horn or the beep-beep of a car, always make me burst out laughing 😂
Now, I have to clean coffee off my screen…

Great video, Mike. I've been a fan since you first started your channel, and it's great to see you have maintained your unique, kind, and compassionate way of telling the victims stories. Your sense of humour helps with the difficult topics you cover, but you always do so in a respectful manner. All these things and more, including the captian hat and insurance dance , make it all the easier to love you and your channel more. Please keep up the amazing work. 👏 we love you Mike. 😊

akens was 500000% offed by the stepdad. His hiding everything (phone, no lie detector) make it even more obvious. Sad they couldn't find something to detain him for

@kaseycarpenter he musta been in the perfect area where no cameras are. In this day n age of technology tracing and cameras everywhere usually most get caught. I was wondering about molestation. I thought I heard that somewhere before. So that makes sense he offer her. The one thing he is smart about is never changing his original story. Most suspects where the police hardly have no evidence get tripped up in interrogation because they change details or stories constantly.

@@chrislong8559CCTV isn't a guarantee, there's been a guy wandering around London for a week very obviously disfigured and missing an eye after committing an alkaline attack which has been on the front page of every news source. Apparently no one in this city of millions noticed because no one in London looks at each other and he's now in the river but they haven't found the body yet.

Thank you for covering this story. I live in DC and this case has never left my mind and never got the national coverage is should have. So much time was wasted and so many unanswered questions about the mother. Relisha deserves justice and I will always keep praying she will day receive it. .
