I’m not being dramatic when I say this but I feel SO LUCKY to BE ALIVE while Beyoncé is in her PRIME!!! The excitement she pulls from me is unreal. So so grateful.
Not dramatic at all !!!! I FEEL you! All facts I feel the same !! Beyonce is the truth the best of us. Makes me tear up how she reps for us !! Not only in music but the person she is! Such an excellent example of grace and black excellence in face of so much hate … some by her own people!! But she always remains consistent in classy behavior 🎉 👑 🐝
I love seeing ppl from different fandoms who likes and appreciates Beyonce. I understand if some don’t like her but when I see ppl overlooking her vocal ability and performance skills just because their faves only excel to either one is just hard to comprehend. I wasn’t a fan at first (just a casual listener), but seeing her perform, hearing her sing her ass off, and seeing her on her documentaries, her hard work paid off and I started appreciating her even more. Beyonce is Beyonce and she is a once in a lifetime artist. we should pay her respect that she deserves.
Beyonce is doing Blues/Americana which has DEEP African American roots. And she's brought some very special heavy hitters, within the genre, along for the ride to E-DU-MUH-CATE the Folk on the history. ;) We know of Rhiannon Giddens, who I've been following for years, who was playing the banjo on the Texas Holdem track. She's also an INCREDIBLE vocalist and all-around incredible talent. Looking forward to March to see what other significant Black players/pioneers she'll be showcasing.
"Yeah, this is straight country. If you say y'all say it otherwise, y'all racist as hell" I'm laughing SO HARD because they already started with the "country references" to describe it. (you're absolutely right) She sat down, watching her performance of Daddy Lessons with the chicks and asking herself "How can I drive aaaaall those caucasians even madder?"
Imagine finding out about Beyoncé 50 years later? I would be sick. This woman is fearless and so confident in journey. NO ONE is seeing her but they all see her 💅🏿
I literally Ballllllllled tf out of these EYES.... and i don't even have nothing going on like dat lmao. 16 carriages got me feeling like am 70 years old, with a mortgage and a casserole in the oven while i watch the sunset on the porch. Chile
I love the meaning behind Texas Hold Em. Its like BABY THIS IS NOT A GAME THIS IS REAL LIFE! PUT DOWN YOUR POKER FACE AND STOP TRYING TO BE SO HARD. LETS BE VULNERABLE AND FALL IN LOVE AND DANCE DONT BE A BITCH! Its honestly Plastic off the Sofa pt 2
At nearly 44 since Renaissance my life has spiritually changed. I feel so lucky to be alive at this time. Rwt was a life altering experience. We are blessed.
YOU ARE LITERALLY THE ONLY ONE THAT REACTED ON THE “ 38 Summers” LINEEEEE !!! I’ve been watching every reaction that comes up on yt… girl u got my follow!! I cried like a baby for the past 24 hours listening to ‘16 carriages ‘ every memory comes up from the past… we got this💪🏻💪🏻
I think this country album is gonna hit more for me personally than renaissance act 1. 38 summers cause she wrote it during the pandemic. Also this sounds like it may be a farewell when she is done with all 3 acts
16 carriages is incredible! The storytelling is immaculate, and the visualizer, though it’s just a visualizer, really adds something to it for me. In the visualizer, you can see the vulnerability in her eyes; the entire song feels like a quiver, as if she’s shaken up by all she went through. People confuse her persona and brand with her actual personality too often. Like Beyoncé is now a massive brand, a production and enterprise but at the heart of it is a woman who’s never caught a break and who has been working everyday of her life for this.
Now that we are so close to act 2... i'm not sure im ready??? Walk with me, renaissance was such a phenomenal body of work that i dont think ive fully embraced its greatness, even after almost 2 years. I know act 2 era is gonna be great, but i'll still look back at renny fondly
i saw someone on witter predicted this entire country album and they also said that act iii is gonna be a rock album... i am absolutely sat for these next 2 acts. it's abt to eat.
It was meant for a different artist and Beyoncé recorded it last minute if I remember correctly, that’s why it’s got the 2000s Alternative vibe to it So glad she did bc she gave me an audition song I used that song to audition for everything😭❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️❤️
@NecktamusPrime It's definitely country on That's Why You're Beautiful . I can't recall if I ever heard that song when the album first came out. I didn't have the special edition
Kioshi, I am SO HAPPY you reacted to this we are being FED right now. I feel privileged to witness this greatness which is Beyoncé Giselle Knowles Carter!! I've been playing these songs since yesterday
I’m ready for this reaction!!! Loved both but mannn 16 carriages 😭😭😭 been on repeat. Side note: There are some amazing black country artists like Mickey Guyton, Darius Rucker, Jimmie Allen, etc. I hope this act II can make more people aware of this.
The handmade gourd instruments that would become the modern banjo originated in West Africa. 2) Enslaved Africans carried the “banjar” and its music to North America by way of the Caribbean. HAPPY BLACK HISTORY MONTH
I love how your saying "Reclaiming our things." Were simply taking back what was stolen from us and our ancestors. But 16 carriages is beautiful and heavily emotional. I believe the "16 carriages" is supposed to symbolize, the eternal feeling of her, having to sacrifice her childhood in order to make her dreams a reality, but unfortunately those childhood experience was being ripped away from her at such a young/ impressionable age. But its intentional as she is saying that she's creating art and working. However, having to lose something that is so precious and limited as one's childhood is very emotional and gut wrenching. This song truly reveals how chasing your dreams can be a beautiful thing, but there might be so much that you have to lose along the way.
Something I read on Facebook that I really liked & agreed with: "Y’all know I love Beyonce down, but theres one thing that’s being said about her new tracks that need to stop. She’s not 'reclaiming' country music with act ii. There is already a very strong Black folk, country, Americana scene that has been keeping our music and history very much alive. There’s Brandi Waller-Pace , Jake Blount, Jess Garland, Kam Franklin, K Michelle, Keith Frank, Reyna Roberts, and ofc Rhiannon Giddens [can’t forget LGBTQ+ GRAMMY-**winning** Allison Russell either. 🤠🏳️🌈🪕]. So let’s enjoy this new upcoming project, but let’s not ignore the Black artist who’ve been in this genre forever."
I agree with this but none of those artists mentioned are on her level of fame and that’s why they get over looked smh. So many incredible artists like they said that have been grinding in the country scene are about to get their just due and recognition because of Beyoncé and THAT’S why it feels like a reclaiming of country in a mainstream sense 👌🏾
Honey, I literally ordered a pink sparkly cowboy hat and pink cowboy boots because my gay ass is already OBSESSED with this. I'm officially in my c*ntry era.
Can't wait to start fighting people if they dare say anything that even rhymes with "Beyonce can't be country." I will throw hands. Family, coworkers, strangers in a bar -- doesn't matter to me. You either recognize her genius or you get yours 🤷🏼♀️
DEVI WAS DAMN NEAR SOBBING JUST OFF THE COMMERCIALS 😂 You and Devi are the first ones I look for when Mother drops music. Im terrified of this album because like you mention she gets to be very vulnerable and 😢 Im not ready.....16 Carriages was just the tip of the iceberg....IM NOT READYYYYY BUT IAM...LORD HELP ME!!!
What I love so much about this is the things I'm visualizing while I'm listening are so inherently and distinctly black. Like I can't picture a white country westerner. She's really reclaiming y'alls music 👏👏👏
While not a country fan, I agree that it has some of the best writing; other genres rely (not entirely, but significantly) on production that lyrics are often overlooked because it "sounds good."
I’m not being dramatic when I say this but I feel SO LUCKY to BE ALIVE while Beyoncé is in her PRIME!!! The excitement she pulls from me is unreal. So so grateful.
No FOR REAL
Big Facts!! Like I’m genuinely grateful to be alive to experience Beyonce.

the way 16 carriages is genuinely one of the best country ballads to ever be made. act ii is really for the daddy lessons cowgirls, gays and theys

2020 during COVID
@@ttadavis1443she was 38 in 2019 and when she said in the movie it took 4 years to make the whole production so 2019-2023 that’s 4 years! 😭

My boyfriend literally said, act:3 is rock n roll, tina, michael, prince, its all there. Id faint on my toilet!💀💀

When Beyonce said....God is real, it is in everyone, I´ḿ hot, I´m tingling, It´s love, I feel it when I close my eyes and listen to 16 carriages.

Act 2 - Country - Reclamation
Act 3 - Gospel - Revival
