"Consistently Awesome", so true. Not one foot wrong. Ever. And that includes 'Head First', which will hopefully be viewed with kinder ears as the years go by, as it was unfairly /lazily reviewed at the time. Truly only Goldfrapp & Roisin Murphy (and just behind them Midnight Magic, Escort, Holy Ghost! & Sean Nicholas Savage, can save contemporary music.
Goldfrapp are not single makers, they're album makers. They create such a texture palette, an atmosphere, a world on its own that you need to listen to the whole album so that it makes sense. At first, I wasn't very happy with 'Anymore', but now, as this piece contrasts with that lead single, I'm starting to understand it better.
Paolo Andre Gonzales Céspedes I didn't (and still don't) think that "Train" was their biggest statement of intent for a change of direction/lead single (Strict Machine would have had more if a 'wow' factor...
Even though they can make great singles. I had the pleasure of seeing them live on the 23rd of March in Sheffield, and the tracks Systemagic and Everything is Never Enough could make great singles. They are so danceable and catchy. She was astonishing live, what a powerful voice, sounded just like on the records. I was about 10 feet away from her.

Keep playing, and playing, and playing this song-- anyone else? It's so powerful, sexy and ethereal -- love Goldfrapp so much for such a masterpiece -- can't get enough of this album!
I have never heard a song by Goldfrapp that isn't rich in passion. Every song is unique and utterly beautiful, that's why this band never fails to satisfy. Well done, I can't wait for the rest!:)

I kinda felt an atmosphere in the likes of Depeche Mode's song " Waiting for the night" and The Cure "Desintegration" era . But also completely new and different at the same time . I just know I like it . I can't put words why . just feels rigth . Thank you Alison this is very enjoyable and satisfying :-)

I'm happy you came noticeable back to the electro sound that made history back in the day with Strict Machine and I'm still waiting for a more vibrant electro album in the future after u unbind at least for some of the fans from this deep profound message state.
I really need to add a little something here: due to the current state of pop music, I just can't see this being a hit single - but it's absolutely on par with all their greatest past stuff. Six days later it really kicked in for me - every moment is a luxury.

There has been another electronic artist that emerged from Ukraine in 2014 & that is Onuka. The Ukrainian equivalent of Goldfrapp & Kraftwerk.
