@@kingoniranger Yup. They got almost all of the Marvel Vs Capcom games. They’re just missing both the two versions of Marvel Vs Capcom 3 and Marvel Vs Capcom Infinite. (I get that Infinite is not a fan favorite but still.) Maybe it’s time for a new game for the franchise. But I guess we’ll have to wait and see.

I NEVER thought this would be a thing, I'm glad they were able to work out the licensing to make this possible.
Hopefully they can work something out to give us a MvC2 expansion with new characters or even a true MvC4 in the same vein as MvC2.

My arcade had a standard cabinet for MvC1 but had a huge projection tv for MvC2 (and both MSH games before it) in the middle of the place. Was pretty glorious. RIP Champions in NE Philly.

This mvc2 was the whole reason I picked a Dreamcast over a GameCube back in the day. Glad to see all these games on an Nintendo console.

@@VictorGonzalez-xs9oc most people didn't buy at launch back then. News about whats coming out and when barely got around unless it was a console. Release dates were in the back of manuals sometimes

My Dreamcast has a GDEMU basically just for this and Crazy Taxi (the original without the replaced voices for some passengers and BD Joe, like every rerelease going back to the PS2/GameCube)

Won't lie, I sang along when the song got picked while watching the Direct.
Wow they even included X-Men Children of the Atom, the game where it all started and Marvel Super Heroes even though they weren't crossovers with Capcom characters. The Punisher came out of left field though, even if it does run on the same engine as Final Fight, a franchise which was merged into the Street Fighter franchise.
Honestly despite 3 of the games aren't Vs capcom, I think it's a good thing they're added to the collection since they're the step in stone for the MVC series.
Marvel vs Capcom series and Punisher has returned to our modern consoles! Like Stan Lee would say, Excelsior!!

I never played that much of Marvel vs. Capcom, but my friends played 2 all the time, and the character select music is stuck in my head ever since!
You know, I just realized something. Much like Darkstalkers
before it, this is the first time both Marvel vs Capcom games
got released on a Nintendo system since the only Capcom vs
game we got was Tatsunoko vs Capcom on the Wii many
years ago. (Along with Red Earth, but that's a whole other
can of worms.)
Capcom been doing nintendo dirty for years.
But at least Megaman is in Smash....twice :D
Capcom vs. SNK 2 was on Nintendo GameCube, but besides that and Tatsunoko vs. Capcom on Wii, that was it. But man, it's good to see Marvel vs. Capcom on Nintendo. Especially since the Marvel games are my favorite of all (it introduced me to both Marvel and Capcom after all, to the point that sometimes I feel incomplete when seeing Marvel and Capcom crossovers without each other).
@@INFERNO95 It's not the same capcom we grew up with. Just like Konami. Then again it's been over 30 years and things change, people retire and companies break down. Even Nintendo (who is the only console I still buy) ain't the same. But then again I'm not either.

I'm not too big on traditional fighting games, but I'm fully aware of how beloved the MARVEL VS Capcom series is, and with this being the first time these games have been rereleased in ages... yeah, to say I'm happy for the fans would be a big understatement!
Dream come true, I still have my saved data from the Xbox 360 arcade edition with my saved data. Now on PC and switch- truly amazing. And a physical copy coming later this year. WOW - best thing to happen in the gaming world……

These are the kinds of games I played at pizza parlors locally when I was growing up. Makes me want to open one of my own as that experience is what I loved right after school or a hard day at work. I'd bring a pocket full of change, buy 2 slices of new york pizza style cheese, then jam out for an hour playing at the arcade.
Real ones know these games were EVERYWHERE in NYC. If it had a cash register there was a machine in the back lol.

I’ve seen many play throughs of the Mvc series on UA-cam and I’m finally happy I can experience them now

I literally cried when I saw this announcement. I really did. You have no idea how much the Playstation and Dreamcast versions are of the individual titles that thankfully will be in this collection! $249.99 for a pre-owned copy of Marvel Super Heroes Vs. Street Fighter for Playstation. Screw that! This may be a belated birthday present for myself, but I'm not complaining about it at all!

@DungarooTV Oh, I've heard of it, but I don't care to go all out just for that. And just so you, the Switch is emulated as well. It's still far and away better than laying down over $100 or worse just for a PSX or DC game just because of how rare it is--which still doesn't make any sense to overmilk it.

Nobody makes games like these. By that i mean the aesthetic. Everything was hype-themed, the music, the colors, the animations, the characters, the combos, the cross-X spamming supers, everything.
Never thought I’d see the day MvC games arrive to Nintendo. Being a Nintendo kid who also enjoyed these fighting games in the 90s and 2000s was rough.
MVC 2 Is finally back. I had hope when arcade1up picked it up but wow.

I'm highschool Marvel v Capcom 2 was always in mine & my friends dreamcasts. We would often walk away to do something with it still on. I still hear "GONNA TAKE YOU FOR A RIDE" when I close my eyes each night
