Thanks! Feel free to reach out if there is something you don’t understand or if there’s a feature you’d like help adding that I don’t have and I’ll do what I can to help
Thank you for these tutorials. Amazing. However, is there a point in me creating multiple material functions for different types of terrain (grass, snow, etc) or are we concentrating on this rock texture only? I was hoping I could have softer rock appear lower on the map, harder stone higher and snow on the top of the mountains automatically, without having to manually paint. Or am I just jumping ahead? Cheers - and SUBBED!
Thanks for the questions! The short answer is yes to all. The long answer is I’m teaching all these functions so that they can go into material functions that we will use as material layers that will procedurally paint the landscape for you. Although I would advise going through all of these videos to learn how they each work you could also download the completed project on the final episode then learn as needed. It’s a complex system but it’s well worth it. Also, I haven’t built in a feature for softer rocks in lower altitudes but it should be easy to figure out with what I teach and give you. However, if you find yourself struggling then feel free to hop into my discord and I’ll help you as soon as I am able.
This is amazing. Just the tutorial series I needed for years. Keep up the awesome work!
