UCI Gravel World Series 2022 - Poland 🇵🇱 "Gravel Adventure". Is it gravel or MTB?

The average guy from [land of the flats] Lithuania races at UCI Gravel event. 178 riders started in Grand Fondo 96 km with 1950 meters of elevation. Went p84, then bonked, finished p102.

i've been riding specifically gravel bikes for around 4 years, recently been riding my hardtail XC mtb, got tired of being beaten up on the long rough gravel roads and single tracks around where i live, i didn't understand anything you said due to language barrier but i enjoyed the video anyway, btw nice graze you have on your arm.

That’s the topic we’ve discussed among our friends and also in this video - for us (for the guys who come from flat lands) this race reminded more MTB race than gravel, as we get used to it - we have gravel closer to road race dynamic with groups, pelotons and etc. These mountains, stone based gravel resembled more to MTB characteristic.
Our Top16 experienced guy who classified to World Championship told that you could expect very similar result with MTB bike here.
And gaze was fresh - 5 minutes to start was checking finish downhill, realy steep, really bumpy - I though can handle it better :) But as I felt before start, I knew it won’t probably happen in the race.
