The more characters that can just implant weakness by themselves or straight up ignore the weakness type, the less Silverwolf is needed for that particular asset. First was Xueyi, then Acheron, Boothill, and now Firefly.
Very unfortunate tbh, I really liked the mechanic. Ignore weakness just feels a bit cheap to me can't lie. ESPECIALLY when it's a full aoe... Even after using Acheron for a couple months it still doesn't feel right.

You say Firefly is more flexible but if she relies on ult to actually do proper damage doesn't that mean that her damage fluctuates greatly compared to Boothill in most late game fights that are more than 1 wave? Compare that to Boothill whose stacking talent remains throughout waves and even after the battle

If you are talking about only firefly's dmg then LC and ruan mei e1 hold the same value. But the ruan mei is more universal you can use her in any team. And for firefly her lc (theoretically ofc) provides more comfortable experience for her own team. So you have decided that what you want more universal buff or more comfort in that specific team(hypothetically ofc)
this heavily depends on alot of factors so hard to give a concrete answer, memories of the past S5 is a solid option for Ruan mei (would allow you to get her E1 instead) but lacks some of the QoL her sig offers, personally both would be ideal but if you only have 1 choice I myself would pick the LC due to offering so much such as Generate 10 Energy all allies at the Start of each Wave (great for PF/MoC etc), Extra 1 skill point when Wearer Ultimate if is ≥150 Break Effect% is amazing for dual DPS comps and also easy to hit as her LC gives 60% BE, it mostly comes down to do you want more damage/run break meta E1, more QoL and comfort S1, as someone who has play ruan mei at E1 with and without her LC I felt and noticed the lack of her LC more than her E1.
I’m very much a support over DPS guy and have a guaranteed so will be pulling Ryan Mei. If I get her early I might throw a handful of pulls at Firefly, however I am an E2S1 Acheron main so probably will be saving my pulls for her upcoming support
Makes sense. Firefly is powerful but only pull if you're willing to commit to a team archetype, while Ruan Mei is still the closest thing to a must-pull. The rest of the units are niche in some way. The way I see it, it is like Black Swan Kafka scenario. Yes you can run a DoT team with BS and no Kafka but if you want highest performance and comfy clears you need the two together. Similarly, you can run the Firefly break team without Ruan Mei and it will function at a baseline level but the gap in comfort and performance will be massive.
i think for these 4 banners especially: if you have a favourite pull it. f the meta in that case i personally pull for meta a lot so getting ruan mei e1/2 is the most efficent thing to do i will still pull for 1 SAM just because i like her. dont even plan too build her right now firefly/topaz/argenti are all fan favourites for the majority of the playerbase and picking up 1 copy of them jsut too have them because you like them is very much worth a consideration
As someone who have Ruan Mei E3S1 since her debut, I can vouch for how much better my account became. Glad to see she stood the test of time despite the competition. Now I can roll for Firefly without worry

I love how the only character i was crazy lucky with is Argenti, got his e2 in next 10 pull after getting first copy of him while trying to get more 4 star units. Helps keeping him afloat thou, might get his signature lightcone on rerun, because it is the only unconditional damage buff erudition lc outside of other 5 star Erudition lc's i can get. I love using him for farming, makes it really fast.
Can't wait for 3.x unit power creep being multiple actions performed, like controlable summoned units, or maybe a unit that is 2 people at once with their own action values

I need advice Pokke. I am thinking of treating myself and going dolphin for this patch. I will have around 300 pulls and my account doesnt have Ruan Mei but I am using break comp as my team 2. I was thinking of going Ruan Mei > Firefly E2. Do you think this would be the way to go or should I go E0 S1 on one of them instead?
RM is fine at E0S0 but her E1 makes u deal more dmg due to def ignore, her S1 makes u have more utility: 1 sp per ult and a bit of dmg boost. If u want utility and bit dmg go for S1, if u want to boost ur dmg more go for E1. Depends on what u want, my RM is E0S1 and im doing fine, E0S0 is also fine. Firefly is a beast at E2 due to action foreward when breaking the enemy and E1 make her sp neutral and def ignore (imagine that with E1 RM holy shet). Her S1 is pretty okay, but other options work too: Herta' free LC and Indellible Promise if u have one. If I were you I might priortise her E1 / E2 over her S1, but if u can pull both why not? Here's my opinion on what to prioritise: RM > FF > RM E1 / FF E1 > FF E2 > FF S1 > RM S1 But if you love FF so much then: FF > FF E1 / E2 > FF S1 > RM > RM E1 Do remember that RM is a staple in break teams and longevity of ur account. Prioritze support before any carry, E0S0 should be enough and u can just dump the rest for FF if u want.
RM on E0S0 is totally fine, you can use MOTP for her lc if u have that. I'd say go get FF E0S1 first, then ruanmei E0, then if u still have some left, go for FF E2 if u decide to do so. Goodluck!

Firefly e1 and e2 is broken but she will be faster replaced than RN how dps power creep in this game we are just 3 months away from the next op dps. It went: Seele, DH:IL, Jingliu, Archeron and now Firefly. Meanwhile top support slot went from Bronya to RN and Bronya is still very good. I feel like Seele became unusable in MoC12...
Gotta put you on 1.25x at the least to get the authentic experience. That being said. Probably gonna get E0S0 FF and possibly the E1 for RM depending on how the leaks turn out.

I already know i'll get the cook if he stays somewhat similar to his older leaks because that means he'll be the best def shredder in the game and generate a shitton of stacks for Acheron, the fabled 5* Pela. One character per patch is about where you break even on average so if it turns out Yunli is something i wanna pull as well or that i absolutely want the cooks LC that means the patch will be in a deficit though i have a decent stockpile right now of 340 pulls and another 110 in dust. In other words i'm looking mostly 1 patch ahead and trying to retain at least some stockpile at the end of that lookahead just in case

I think the verdict for ff should be If you have ruan mei and no boothill: 10/10 If you have ruan mei and boothill: 9/10 And if you dont have ruan mei: 7/10. Reason beinf that boothill and ff kind of have a similar role and they also share the same supports so if you can’t really run them on separate sides of moc or else on side will be extremely weak.

If you don't have Ruan Mei the answer is always Ruan Mei. Ruan Mei just works well in every team. I use her in my Acheron team. But if you're going for a Super Break team it's just not competitive without Ruan Mei. There isn't much point in having Firefly if you don't have Ruan Mei.
E1 is a lot better especially if you’re going for superbreak just because how def shred functions across all types of team comps. Her light cone is pretty good and can help alot especially for dot comps but less useful for break teams.

Firefly e1 and e2 is broken but she will be faster replaced than RN how dps power creep in this game we are just 3 months away from the next op dps. It went:

@@IIstealthIII Primarily the leaks for the next patch which we are guaranteed to get because of the beta. I already know i'll get the cook if he stays somewhat similar to his older leaks because that means he'll be the best def shredder in the game and generate a shitton of stacks for Acheron, the fabled 5* Pela. One character per patch is about where you break even on average so if it turns out Yunli is something i wanna pull as well or that i absolutely want the cooks LC that means the patch will be in a deficit though i have a decent stockpile right now of 340 pulls and another 110 in dust. In other words i'm looking mostly 1 patch ahead and trying to retain at least some stockpile at the end of that lookahead just in case

get Ruan Mei if u r new to the game, even if in future the company release a better one, you still need few supports, you need to make 2 teams, remenber that.
Nah get a dps first no point in getting a support if you don’t have a character you WANT to support plus firefly is easy to build universal f2p friendly and really strong

I you were talking about just Ruan Mei for universal use, then I'm not too sure because her sig LC is amazing and provides comfortability, while her E1 gives a huge boost to team damage

I think the verdict for ff should be
If you have ruan mei and no boothill: 10/10
If you have ruan mei and boothill: 9/10
And if you dont have ruan mei: 7/10.
Reason beinf that boothill and ff kind of have a similar role and they also share the same supports so if you can’t really run them on separate sides of moc or else on side will be extremely weak.

The question now is how long we can get another rerun for Ruan Mei. So, i will take Ruan Mei first. If you already have it then its fine.
If you don't have Ruan Mei the answer is always Ruan Mei. Ruan Mei just works well in every team. I use her in my Acheron team. But if you're going for a Super Break team it's just not competitive without Ruan Mei. There isn't much point in having Firefly if you don't have Ruan Mei.

E1 is a lot better especially if you’re going for superbreak just because how def shred functions across all types of team comps. Her light cone is pretty good and can help alot especially for dot comps but less useful for break teams.
