- Join me as I show you my 2005 Honda Element, which I've transformed into a cozy camper over the past six years. I built everything myself with no woodworking experience, so if I can do it, you can too!

My favorite thing definitely is swivel seats. Also now EVERY time I see an Honda Element, I look inside to see if they have a camping setup. Love the community
Swivel all day sell your Tesla and buy a few elements haha! No jk the X is dope.
@@StephenAldaco LOL. Bro when you said this is my 2005 Honda Element I was like that’s almost as old as me
@EverydaySandro LOL oh boy. Me and my old cars. 🚙 I’ll convert you one day bro haha
Great video! I'm always surprised at how little miles some of the UA-camrs have. I guess driving 84 miles round trip to work every day adds up as I have a 2008 Orange element and she will turn over 400k this October at the rate I'm driving. She has not had any major issues and I keep her in a garage at night so I'm squeaking every last mile out of her. I'll be beyond sad when she dies. Not sure what I'll do to replace her. Have fun!
Thats a long trek to work I hope you keep her as long as you can and replace the engine when the time comes!
Awesome tour Stephen!!! I definitely picked up some great tips for Habanero! 👍🏻👍🏻👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼👏🏼
😂 thanks amigo so good to see you this weekend. Habanero is looking good!
You make that walk through so easy bro I love it
It’s like I’ve done it a few times before hahahaha 🤭 thanks for watching bro
Thanks for the walk through. I have 235 70 16’s Kumho’s and they are quiet and awesome
Very organized. 👍
Thank you I’m getting better for sure!
Just found your channel! Love your personality and your setup!
Thank you so much for the kind words Ally! Glad you enjoyed the setup!
I may tackle something like this as it’s reasonably priced compared to what I think DYI , not sure it’s him but Miguel did a review on him. To quote Crazy Eddie, his prices are insane 😅 over $3,000 grand in some cases. I like the swivel seats though wish he would offer discounts. Do you have a catalytic converter cover?
Hey HotRod! Yes I have a cat cover! It was a long weekend but i got it done and I have been super happy with how it has turned out. I would def give it a try.
@@StephenAldaco what brand? They are starting to steal cats in NYC now
I'm looking into building an Element for similar purposes, and I'm building a checklist to know which ones to avoid, so far I have :
-2006-11 (no plastic panels)
-EX 4WD trim
-manual preferrably (I hear the autos aren't exactly reliable)
-subframe recall done
-sub 225k kms (within budget and surprisingly hard)
As an experienced owner, is there something else I should lookout for? Keep in mind, I wouldn't put too many kilometers on it, it might be my only vehicle but I don't travel around much outside of roadtrips
How did you rig up your back hatch inside opener.. I have watched a bunch of videos, but they make my head spin. Have a 2005 Khaki 5 speed..I love it but at 73 years old I got clutch leg on my 6000 mile road trip last year. Am considering an automatic. Never thought I would say that. Know anybody who would want to trade?
I’ll trade my blue one for the khaki 😍
I've got a 2007 Element. The one with the seatbelts IN THE SEAT. I've been having a BEAST of a time finding seat covers for it. Also, have issues with the seat air-bags. NOTHING I've found has worked so far. ANYONE have suggestions? He's got 200K+ miles and still pulls 27-29 on the freeway, all other parts original (except for hoses, belts, tires, brakes... normal stuff). Can't bring myself to sell/trade.
Have you looked at wet Oakley? I’m pretty sure they fit with seat covers.
Hiro's hot rods is constantly sold out of swivel bases for our Elements. And NOT RESPONDING to any messages I've left for him. 😢
Try again I’ve always been able to get ahold of him! There always sold out because they are awesome 😎
