CST's enthusiasm and joy when the student begins to use proper force and intention is wonderful to watch. What a great, humble and giving teacher. This was an amazing video. Thank you.
He was a blessing to be around that's for sure. I think many of us learned much more than just Wing Chun from him. We became better people with him as a teacher and roll-model...
A good way to train that is: Do siu nim tau with closed eyes and have someone randomly hit/push your arm - in particular during the backward movement of the 3rd set. If you have forward intention (and correct structure), your arm should be able to hold the position & absorb the force without folding.
I miss my friend Kenan , who showed me Wing Chun...before I had low confidence, and I felt good and empowered by his one on one training...I went to a Wing Chun class they showed me forms, etc with little one on one training, that made me feel bad .... so please take my advise, when a student quits, in many cases, you failed him.....the spirit of martial arts is love of what your doing , nothing else 💝💝😍
This seminar seems so great. Every video from it shows something amazin. Thank you for sharing. Hope some day we´ll get to see the full version! Cheers
Yes thank you Sifu Nima. You've given so much clarity on these subjects. Your and Sigung Chu Shong Tin's Wing Chun is beautifully explained in these videos. Now it's time to practice. Someday I'll make it to Hong Kong.
Really well explained Nima and very important subject! Your videos sharing Sigungs teaching and explaining subtleties in clear terms are doing Wing Chun a great service. I especially love what you said about letting go of even the slightest bit of leaning and pressing and THEN the force begins to flow. PROFOUND. I think thats a huge key and personally I felt a massive increase in real force when I learnt to let go of that last bit (of course still working at it lol. ) It gets very subtle doesnt it! My recommendation is for keen students to watch this vid a number of times AND TAKE NOTES! Preserve every bit of wisdom you can.
Wow! Thank you very much, Sifu Nima King! Time and time again, your explanations and the analogies you use are so on point and clear that they have helped me understand how to deal with my struggles while training in Wing Chun. This is my first time leaving a comment on your channel, but I've watched a lot of your videos and have been learning a lot from them. I just want to say thank you for always giving your best in teaching us and showing us how to improve on our Wing Chun. I can feel your passion in Wing Chun in all of your videos that I've watched. Thank you very much! I truly wish I can learn from you in person one day. I live in Canada, so it won't be easy for me to attend your classes on a daily basis. However, should I visit Hong Kong the next time during my travel, is there a way to get in contact with you? I'd definitely love to visit, but I'm also not sure if you will take students like me who are just visiting or travelling?
Thanks very much for the kind words! And its truly my pleasure to share all can with people who are willing to put it to practice. And yes of course you would be more than welcome to come and train at our school. We usually get at least 1 overseas visitor per week so very much accept anyone wishing to come and pay a visit and train. Right now (this week) there are actually 2 Sifus from overseas visiting and training with us :) and you can find all the contact details here: www.mindfulwingchun.com.hk looking forward to meeting you one day. All the best till then! cheers, Nima
Thank you very much, Sifu Nima King, for taking your time in replying to my message personally! I really appreciate it! Also, thank you very much for sending me the link. I've browsed through the website and it's really informative. I have been discussing with my wife about making a trip to HK and I might actually be visiting HK sooner than I expected. If I want to make some arrangements with you regarding training at your school, should I just fill out the form under the "Contact Us" and discuss in further details through email? Thanks in advance!
That's a good sign in your Siu Nim TAo practice Michael. Keep on the daily practice and it'll only get better as you delve deeper every day! Happy training
Thanks I'm studying wing chun myself in wilmington nc usa my teacher recommended your videos I am very interested in grandmaster Chu Shong Tins method thanks for all the videos! That man was a legend
yeah. I wish he did. There are many personal questions I wanted to ask him and I had literally thousands of hours of opportunity to do so but we just couldn't communicate fluently. And his local students never asked him about the things I wanted to ask him regarding his childhood, up bringing, life philosophies etc.
@@MindfulWingChun The whole situation is kind of weird. He's had lots of English speaking students for over 30 years but didn't learn any English. His English speaking students learned under him for 20-30 years but didn't learn any Cantonese. May I ask why you never learned Cantonese?
@@Aznbomb3r Actually by the end zi could communicate with him in Cantonese. I never took classes but just began to understand cause I was paying attention and had my mind set on trying to understand what his saying. Do now if I'm watching a seminar i can understand 70to80% of what he's saying.

This video seems hand made. It answered so many questions! Already watched it twice! Thanks so much again!
Happy to hear you found it interesting and useful man. Will keep them coming :)

Sorry to hear about your experience. I hope that hasn't put you off finding a better school / teacher to continue your practice and development!
This seminar seems so great. Every video from it shows something amazin. Thank you for sharing. Hope some day we´ll get to see the full version! Cheers
Yeah it was a good seminar. It was his first seminar at our school so he had a lot to share with my students :)
This is fantastic! thanks for the clarification at the end.

Cheers Scott. Still waiting on and very much looking forward to the day we get to meet in person in Hong Kong.
@@MindfulWingChun I tried to figure it out for a year before the online class. There’s no way. The class makes the difference.
Great break down of the video afterwards!
Glad you liked it Sebastian

Cool explanation
Thank you Mike!
Could forward fliow be intent?
Yes its definitely using intention to aim the force generated with the joints and body mass, in a very precise way.
