Ruto can't take notes, because his presidency is not about Kenya and its progress and development.
His priorities are quite different: he is on a purely personal quest for power, wealth and fame. He doesn't think about what he can do for Kenya from a holistic standpoint. He's on a never-ending primitive accumulation spree and he'll be stuck there for rest of his life.
His leadership, if you can even call it that, can't be characterized as being transformative for our society in a positive sense.

I never thought I would live long enough to be able to look up to President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni of Uganda as the only voice of truth in Africa as far as the Economy is concerned.
Everything Museveni said is true 100%. Some may blame him for having taken too long to have an afro-epiphany, but personally I commend him for the candid address based on real-life experience.
That, was a marvellous speech, with practical illustrations. He amply provided the context for it. So, nobody can accuse him of being abstract.

I believe you read Ruto's body language correctly. It was very telling. He couldn't fathom why Museveni was railing against his apple cart, the IMF and World Bank .

Asia held 50% of the USD reserve based on the Peterson institute study made in Dec 2023. China held USD 3.2 Trillion of that USD 5 Trillion USD reserve with only USD 800 billion was on US bonds. Japan came 2nd with USD 1.2 T and all of them ob US bonds. China is moving toward USD cash instead of US bonds.
According to the IMF total USD reserve is USD 12 Trillion.
On that study, Euro only held USD 1 Trillion.
Middle East USD 800 billion, Latin America held only USD 600 billion and Africa only USD 85 billion.
What the Peterson worried about was if the Asia tuned 25% of USD reserve into Yuan or Euro, the USA collapse overnight.

President Muse Eni is correct. In South Africa there's a big problem with transport for business. The railway infrastructure has crumbled and road freight is prohibitively expensive. It also damages road infrastructure. Energy costs are also high. SA must stop borrowing from the IMF and World Bank - these are modern enslavers.
YKM is a revolutionary leader that salvaged Uganda out of a very bad economic state .No sound Ugandan can deny that fact.Long live YKM.
