I appreciate the imagining of this old cossack ballad a Cascadian song, though I'd want to know what bit of world building brought Russian songs to the PNW! I flubbed that first Russian-language verse, incidentally; the bullet should hit me (menya) at the end of the verse, not the horse (konya). If folks would like, I'd happily write some Cascadia-focused songs or work with PNW songwriters to do so.
The PNW has had heavy influences from the Russian labor movement in the past, and the October Revolution helped inspire the 1919 Seattle General Strike

I'd just like to say, you made a great version of lyubo bratsy lyubo. I would have never thought an English version would ever exist.
@@user-ov4qs it's actually a Don Cossack song that was appropriated by ukies

Holy shit I didn't realize the name, I love your rendition of this song. I'm a Ukrainian-American and my ancestors fought in this very war

this is an anarchist song not a communist one???
@@Ta-m01 well if you read Mahkno or Kropotkin than you would know that anarchists are still pro-working class
@xxsalem432hzxx4 yea but I would say that the song is more so an anarchist one than a socialist one
