i'm glad enola is with him in the end. so many times in hollywood the "independent" "strong" female characters feels like they never need a partner/anyone to help them. like, that's not the point of being a strong character, this movie literally said it, the strong ones are those that would accept help from others, so that they can achieve something even greater
I fully agree with you, it makes you think twice about the meaning of "true independence and freedom" as a matter of fact, and it doesn't necessarily mean to give up on friendship and love of course.
That's also why I've appreciated so much this sequel, Enola and Tewkes are truly a dream team and I just can't get enough of them...

Great edit, i loved the song you used by the way and the whole aesthetic of it😍. I love the look on her face after the kiss because it shows how much she likes him, so much that she allows herself to be nervous and vulnerable around him. I love how this movie shows her all powerful and all but not towards him, towards him there is this real intimacy that actually let them have a relationship. There is this mistake a lot of women are making now that they don't let their guard down even when it's necessary. Be all powerful and all, fix your problems and fight for yourself but when it comes to have a relationship don't build walls, let the person in. Relationships are not the place to be competitive and always on alert mode but is the place to feel safe and let your feelings flow in a natural way. I love that they did them like that.
