This was cool and looks so simple. I'm not working and recovering from spinal fusion surgery. And I spend most of my day crafting. And REALLY love crafts that don't require a hour spent in one position. I can only sit for 5 minutes at a time then need to stand. And then another 5 minutes later sit or lay down. So it is easiest if I can sit long enough to wrap one straw then stand and do the next straw. I love this idea. My youngest son graduates this coming spring from collage June of 2018. And summer 2016 he bought a old run down trailer house from a friend's Dad for $100 . And he spent the last two summers working his butt off to fix all the stuff that is wrong with it and make it into a nice place. Well he has wanted a beaded curtain since he was small. And so I want to make him one. I think using this type of bead will work well. I'm going grocery shopping tomorrow. It looks like I'm buying a big box of straws. I have the variegated string /twine stuff and embroidery floss and some cool colored tapes. I can't wait to start this project. Thanks for a cool easy craft.

I know what mean by thinking that you had thought up a brilliant idea to then go online and see that several people have been doing it already. Before I started going on UA-cam (only two years ago) and having internet (I know I have been under a rock), I was making wall art with my unwanted c.d.s, and I was feeling pretty darn creative too, ,then I got the internet and was astonished at how many crafting tutorials are out there, anyway, my bubble was bursted pretty quick cause I then realized that there's a plethora a ways to use them. I had other ideas too that I thought were so new and innovative that others beat me to it as well. It's amazing just how creative us crafters and artists really are! I especially love upcycled projects, so thanks for this awesome idea.🌈

It happens to me all of the time, I think we are all just tapping into this greater creative consciousness and we just recycle ideas! It's cool though because no one can imitate our style and personal touch on things, hope you are having a great week :)

oooooh, pretty! I need to try this! And yes, I've thought some of my ideas were "original" only to find out others have been doing the same thing. At least we all put a slightly different spin on the idea and honestly, I think that makes it more fun. I will be trying this...
