Good on you Andrew, Too many remain ignorant of everything behind the supermarket shelf and don’t put the credit where it’s actually due, without the producers there wouldn’t be a shop or supermarket, in fact there wouldn’t be a population…. No farms, no food, no family or future.
The ginger guy is absolutely right ,farmers during the pandemic still worked every day to keep the country’s prod juices being put into the shops ,and yet farmers get no rest bite or reprieve from the government tax and stupid law restrictions , ops!!!! Nice video Richard, I had the absolute pleasure of meeting Tom and his Dad at LAMMA show 2021 and got the opportunity to show them round a couple of Massey Ferguson tractors on our stand - proper genuine people.
You two are the Farming Legends as far as UA-cam sits in my mind. Great that you’ve finally met up. Part 2 should be great. Just needed Ian there and you would have had the full set although there would have been so much joking and mucking about most of it would had to have been off camera 😂

I love it when Andrew starts talking about something, he’s passionate about his farm and what affects it, like the water levels in the dyke and how easy it would be to resolve that and then reduce the flooding. It’s not exactly difficult, the land has been worked for years so why fix something that wasn’t totally broken only to completely f**k it up. Keep up the good farming, people like me who love dairy products really appreciate all the effort and hard work you put in to enable me to consume and enjoy the fruits of you labour. Thank you ☺️

I must say I have always been very interested in what Andrew Pemberton has to say, maybe because he doesn’t have to be as careful about what he says as he is not trying to grow a channel, but Derek Stewart and Andrew Pemberton are a pair of farming heroes as far as I am concerned, this from a guy who is a small dairy farmer in Ireland who is not ginger! Keep up the good work and as an aside your lads are getting so grown up!

Both you and Tom are a big influence in the farming community and non farmers too! Number of followers don’t matter; you never know who’s watching the videos. Tom’s comments proved that, as long as ego doesn’t get in the way! This is great; i’m glad ya’ll had a good time and a great chat! Andrew is so eloquent in how he speaks, he’s a great role model and so much knowledge. It’s cool with the farmer youtubes on, because everyone’s farm and herd is different. I watch you and Tom mainly, but there are others in US, Canada, etc that farm totally different
Thanks Steph. I understand what you're saying about ego, it would be easy to think too highly of yourself if you let yourself get carried away with it. Rest assured i won't let that happen, i'm acutely aware there are much better farmers out there than me that just don't have the voice that i've got. I'm glad to be part of this industry but certainly know my place
@@thefunkyfarmer I wouldn't call them better, just different. That's the joys of being on youtube! You know your farm and your land better than anyone else and what the best way to farm it is. Plus everyone's herds seem to be different, which i find interesting, but everyone i've seen at least farming wise seem to be really friendly with everyone else. I'm of the mind that technology isn't always better, either, it just presents a different set of complications. But you were able to influence Tom, and in turn Tom can now influence others, which is amazing! I love that both You and Tom seem to remain very accessible to your watchers as you're able to too. It's really just so fun to watch you guys get together!
Don't worry Harry! My middle daughter is dyslexic, has a degree in agriculture and is now working for her master's degree in Harper Adams. Anything is possible
Seeing your boys taking it all in reminds me of how when I was a kid I used to love listening to my dad talking to other farmers, particularly when the conversation turned to new tractors.
That was brilliant, and I love it when Ginger tells it like it is!. Nice to see you and your boys out and how good was it to see all of you so exited the Pembertons were as thrilled as you guys were thank you for this. I have never owned my own farm but have been involved in farming for many years, the general public are so far removed from the real world of food production. They can not begin to understand the ups and downs the struggles the sadness and the joy of what farming is all about, finding your best cow dead for no apparent reason, your main tractor suddenly stops, can't find the issue after time away much money spent a simple thing that went unnoticed when the tractor was assembled but the trapped wire had stayed intact for a couple of years before letting go a little wire worth pennies but cost a fortune to find and fix, that's farming. Then the beautiful crops and new born calves and lambs and the smiles return on sunny days all is well. Until like you there are Health issues that frighten even the strongest of us, stay well and thank you for sharing Richard.

Does Tom watch farmer p ? Farmers have always had a tight nit community in there own parish but now thanks to the Internet it can cover a wider area and an even bigger family unit supporting and helping each other. Great vid Richard

you know i never realized the ginger guy was called andrew. He is exactly right that farmers are always working to keep food on the shelves so that people don"t go hungry. But the problem seems to be in this country that the people that do the most important work get the least respect. an example being a woman who flashes her bits on only fans for one day can earn more than a nurse does in a week or month even. hayho. looking forward to tomorows instalment
