For tip 1 it's just as easy pressing the square on the bottom pull up symbols (widgets) it looks different on other boxes like 2 rectangles overlapping but does the same job
Sometimes you can't see that navigation menu. Some boxes give you more trouble on getting the navigation buttons back. This is a GREAT solution if you can't get your navigation buttons back. Kudos to you Chigz!

About the new version of UA-cam. It doesn't replace the old one and u can't use the big UA-cam widget the originally came with the box. Can that be fix? Thanks
On some boxes it will not replace, you can just uninstall the old one and use the new one. you then have to Ignore the widget and make your own shortcuts or use a different launcher. Most newer boxes will replace the existing youtube.
he can't promise you mic will work... in my case it didn't. I have a logitech c910 and a X92 android v7.1.x ...and unti now no way get Skype use the built-in mic.

It's benchmark was great and gave stats from more than AnTuTu but not the detail screen you give where the version of AnTuTu is visible. His pre-release box had some major problems with video streaming and sound output. I hope to see your review soon. I would post the persons name but I don't care for his reviews in general.

It crashes a lot, not stable, the wifi is good, sound issues are there and even with the high benchmark score I did not find the performance any better than the S912. I only like making videos of TV boxes that I can recommend. I cannot recommend the Y8.
This is why (along with customization) I actually have a mild preference to this style of Android TV boxes over the 'legit' ones (think Nvidia Shield TV).

You cannot change any icons on the launcher home page even if you uninstall the apps. I know it sucks, but the good work-around I found is install this launcher: play.google.com/store/apps/details?id=com.awe.dev.pro.tv

Hi there C/Tech I got an dolamee tv box I factory reset it cause it was running slow when it booth up back I got a black screen with a message "unfortunately system ui has stop" I tried factory reset with a tooth pick this time and get the same result. How can I fix this problem.
Sounds like a bad flash of ROM, you should contact the seller and return or find out from the seller how you can re-flash the firmware on this box and they may give you instructions.
The Alt/Tab method worked great on android Oreo!! There is no nav bar to access background running apps, so this was awesome! Thank-You!!

I have not found a way to do that. I always switch it off from the mains, as even on standby the TV box is connected to the net and using power.
You can clear background apps by tapping the square & scroll to the right or just x them off as well.

You can change launcher and choose with icons on screen.

You cannot switch power off, it will always go on standby. I myself have to pull the plug everynight.
