Kinkella- I am a huge fan of your Pseudo archeology podcast and I just caught you on “ancient apocalypse explained” on accident and I was so excited. It just made my day. But I just wanted to say that I think you’d be awesome against Hancock. You are charismatic enough to beat him any day. I think you are hilarious and smart and could turn any of his followers given the chance. Now If Netflix would give you a series you would totally win. But really- thank you for bringing archeology to people like me. I’m just an almost 50 year old housewife and mother with no academic background and you really make all of this so interesting. Thank you. ❤
I remember taking classes from Andrew in the year 2008 at Moorpark College. He is one of the best teachers I have ever had. He taught "Mysteries of the Ancient Maya" class. I went on to graduate from USC with a degree in Visual Anthropology and then went on to work for The Walt Disney Studios, including Lucasfilm and Marvel. I am visiting one of the areas I studied about next year and remember a lot of what he taught in his class. I remember his love of Bob Marley music because it was the only cassette tape he had for a long while. Thank you Professor. ❤️
Hello Kinkella, i’m currently a student in community college looking to pursue a career in archaeology and i love watching your videos! They’re very informative. Anyway, i was wondering if you could do a video on why you became a college professor, more specifically why you wanted to specialize in studying the Maya. I’ve noticed that lots of archaeologists specialize in particular parts of history, whether it’s biblical studies, egyptology, or the mediterranean, what made you decide that you wanted to focus your research on the Maya? Thanks!
Sir, I want to study Lévi-Strauss. What would you recommend me? I'm not a complete novice to Anthropology. I've read a couple of textbooks on anthropology.
This has nothing to do with antiques, I apologize, but @kinkellateachesarchaelogy Thank you so much for your stewardship. I just found your channel, butvbefore I found your videos I had only used my imagination on how I was gonna try to couple plant sciences/botany with history. I am interested in botany, phycology and limnology. But I am also interested in studying the history of shipwrecks. If my major is going to be plant sciences how do I get to the title of "maritime archaeologist?" Can I study science and take history or anthro courses leading into maritime archaeology or will I have to step away from science to get a degree in archeology in order to do the marine side of archeology. Again my main interest is the marine side of this profession and going into a STEM career that branches into underwater eco systems and relationships between land plants and marine plants. I see a relationship between them all. Or am I doing too much? Again thanks for your awesome videos Professor.
Thanks! Take it one subject at a time. Do the biology stuff first (always do what is most important to you first). If you go onward, then you can combine the other stuff in grad school. Super interesting stuff! Keep going with it. Chances are you will drop some of it along the way, and your interests will naturally focus.

I did that video already (because I thought people would be interested) - just scroll through the back catalog. Thanks for being interested!
You are my favorite UA-camr
Same here, as someone trying to get into the field of Archeology and currently taking classes he's super fun to watch.
Thanks!
That’s super nice.

Take advanced classes in anthropology theory.
