This week I get my hands on the new Spinnaker Bradner vintage inspired dive watch. A great affordable dive watch with unique styling, not often seen on watches at this price range. This is my take on the watch, both unboxing and first impressions.

like that. The new Spinnaker offerings are great I've got one of their older dive watches but the hands obscure the chronograph complications.
Hey Riff, yep it is an interesting story and an evolution to the vintage styles for them. I actually got to speak with them. I was very impressed actually with this watch. That Helgray watch I reviewed obscured the chronograph... well the hands are black and the panda is, so the hands disappear when they pass the sub dials!
Did it come with that long box? My Bradner came with a square box with watch pillow. I was gonna get the Dan Henry 1970 but chose the Spinnaker because I wasn't satisfied with the DH 1963 that I got (misaligned index markers, cheap-feeling straps, warranty card not filled). So far, I'm glad with getting the Bradner. Great review BTW.
Hi Danny, yes it came in that long box actually. I’m guessing it was because its a copy for review? I was very glad to get my hands on it actually and have been wearing it ever since!
personally I do very much love what these microbrands are offering for the price point. Although, I wouldn't consider Spinnaker to be a minor microbrand ( yeah, baselworld and stuff).

Hi Beepin, yes there is some interesting history around that brand I learned form them during this review. They are more of a small production brand as opposed to a microbrand? or medium production even. I like the direction they have taken with the designs of the vintage line.
So the PADI video is uploaded, the conclusion to the story so to speak. I did another collaboration with Spencer and he went through what the issues weere and how he went about fixing them. Its a very interesting watch. It is in the feed I uploaded is on Saturday
When you were showing the operation of the bezel (5.05), there appeared to be dust on the dial near the 2 o'clock position, or were my eyes playing tricks?
Hi Greg, good spot. Yes all that dust was totally external. I cant believe I didn't spot that. No matter how many times I clean the crystals of watches for review dust still get on them. I used to wear white gloves to help prevent this but I got that many comments about them I don't use them that much any more. All the dust is external as you will see in other later shots.

Oh interesting perspective. I’m a big fan of the hands actually. If i had to say they looked like something maybe a very thin Lego minifigures head... the lume bit anyway!
