Brings a smile to my face. This was my first 1:48 model kit that I got from my mother back in 1990
It's a big pleasure to get comments like this!
no matter what country your in, you have to admit this is one badass and intimidating aircraft!
Absolutely Brilliant!!!!!, we do not need to spend hundreds of euros in airbrushes, hi tech brushes, dozens of glues, bla bla bla.....This type of buildings and videos makes our passion a real and affordable hobby. CONGRATULATIONS!!!
Thank you Sir! Yep... all this stuff is very expensive! In most cases the costs of the paints are more expensive than the kit itself.
That intro with the grainy Hind footage and wild music is really awesome. I built this kit in the early 90's, really fun.
Fantastic work! I trully love this heli the way its displayed! KUDOS!
Jesus... such a famous YT channel gave me a comment! Thanks a lot ;) Sending best greetings!
+luc-o Its only one of the so many channels here Luc :) but thank you on your compliment... again great work on that Chopper
Great Build, Monograms are a challenge. A lot of builders dont like them, I enjoy seeing one built well.
Thank you! The fitting issues on the cockpit are the hell... but after sanding and cursing the result seems to be ok :)
This brings back memories! Had this kit some 15 years ago :)
Thanks, that was fun. The finished model looked great. I'm in the middle of building this kit and needed some encouragement.
Thank you very much! I hope i could help :)
Absolutely speechless..., well not really, I am writing this,.... but this was inspiring... I really got to get back to work on my stuff. Totally loved this vid, beautiful work.
Fantastic! Love your Mad Old School skills! And considering the price, you got yourself a real gem! And turned it into a Diamond of high quality! Well done!
+Sgt Bones Wow! Thank you very much sir! Have a good day!
My dad told me when he was a kid he this was his first helicopter kit he's ever done he just couldn't remember the brand.
Not to long ago 3-4 days ago I stumbled upon this kit. And bought it for him for $27.00 unbeknownst to the fact this was the kit brand he had done.
He recognized the way it was built and told me that this was the one. I reunited him with the helicopter kit of his childhood.
The Mil Mi24 Hind gunship came out really nice 4 an old kit. The figures (air crew)were cool.
Awesome work!
It could be better... but thank you a lot! XD
PERFEITO .... PERFEITO ... PERFEITO ....
Interesting choice of colors, good job on the kit!!!!👍
A great video. Full of detail and very instructive yet at the same time the shots are short to avoid thing becoming boring. Your rotating display stand is a work of art in itself. Well done!
Awesome build! Makes me want to build the one I have
Your technics are different, but your results are amazing!
Excellent!
a very good job, and one of the most enjoyable build videos ive seen. thank you for sharing your talent with us!
My pleasure Sir ! XD Take Care !
It looks amazingly good, a nice job
Great Job! your technique was simple but your results were well done. I have the same kit and your video gave me the urge to get it out of my pile and build it. Hope it comes out as good as yours. thanx for sharing your work.
+Tomas Almaraz My pleasure mate! Be prepared for fitting issues in the cockpit area! Take care!
Awesome! Thank you!
Thanks for watching!
Excellent photography, thanks. I've built about ten helicopter kits and they seem to be the fussiest, most challenging aircraft to build requiring patience and carefulness but the results are always satisfying. I'm looking forward to purchasing and building the Monogram Hind as it looks like it will be the best one yet in my collection.
BMP and T-72 in the backgroumd .. yummy yummy
+Vortex
and superb work painting the cockpit
+Vortex Very good idea! I sould remember this by my next project! Thanks for watching and the comment!
you add a disclaimer saying you're a beginner....and do an amazing job!
wish I could do them this easily
Amazing model. Like the lego platform as well 👍
another great build mate.
I'm poroud to hear that... and sad because i have no time for the hobby right now :(
very nice job paint work with the brush is unreal
Thank you very much!
Nice work! Cool looking hind!
+DaBasementModeler Thanks a lot!
well done on an excellent build
+Armour Empire Thank you!
Well done!!!
+Scale Journal Big Thanks!
Nice
You impressed me with improvisation and creativity, good work :)
This was so informative. Thanks for a great video of the build. I am going to attempt this model, but in the Revell kit in a few weeks. My first model in 35 years!
+Mark Nunya Nice to hear that! Back to hobby after a long time is something special. Be prepared for fitting issues in the cockpit section... sand everything down till it fits correctly. Everything else was ok on my kit. Thanks for watching and take care!
I finally finished the Revell MiL 24 Hind kit. It took a lot of sanding on the cockpit are to get it to fit, but I'm really happy with the final result. Thanks again for the videos. They really helped me to get back into the hobby. Working on a Tamiya A-10 Thunderbolt now.
*****
Congratulations! Yes the cockpit was terrible! I would like to build an A-10 in the future...
Great job!!!! I will fit one coming son. I hope that I could do so well how you. Congratulations.

AWESOME WORK! :D Subscribed!
Thanks a lot ! Have a nice time with my other videos ;)
Hello mr. Luc!i saw that "sam 6" ind the background.i build it 1 month ago.i was building it to raise my modellingskillz to the next level.i must say that kit is delicious.the fit was perfekt.he build like from itself.and the was no flesh at all.let me know how you handled that kit. Awesome build of that badass chopper congratulations.
With best regards and sticky greetings from Brandenburg/germany.your modellmate.christian
love the lego contraption to spin it
Thanks... check my 1000 Sub special for more details :)
ok cheers and nice build
Thanks for making this video. I think you got stunning results, especially with brush painting! I have a couple of observations:
1) I think the panel line wash is just a little bit excessive. I'm not saying my technique is better, but with raised panel lines I like to do a strong, dark grey undercoat. Then, when I've completed painting and I'm in the weathering stage, I use some 500 grit sand paper to carefully go over the panel lines (and ONLY the panel lines) to expose the panel lines and rivets without 'overdoing' the effect. Nice job though, really.
2) Great cockpit and interior!
3) I know the canopy is a delicate area, but perhaps the paint was too thick on the frames.
Thanks for posting the vid, Ciao!
Thank you! Yep, i had a paint issue on the canopy... ther are 2 layers because the first layer just fall off. Im still working on my panel lines techniques... one day it will be "more" nice ;) Greetings !
Fantastic model and a really well presented video. I'm building this kit myself currently and it was a struggle to get everything fitted inside before joining the two halves. I did manage it eventually and so on with the painting. I hope it turns out as well as yours has done :)
Very good mate! If you fitted all inside it should stay like that. It was for me like many days of sanding and dryfitting. The Cockpit was the worst. Enjoy the painting!
This is even better than the real one :)
Thanks for the build. Got a couple of these in my stash....as back when the kit was first released and it was THE kit of the year/to have. Remember reading some where that Monogram was to have sent a team to India to get measurements/photos of an actual Hind. And if I remember right, the U.S. Army has a couple of them for their warfare center in California.
My plesure!
35:23 That lego stuff...LMAO 🤣
im going to get a hind helicopter now 1/48 scale, great video
looks good considering it was all hand brushed.
I like it!
Thank you! Hand painting is more time consuming but very exciting :)
Super :)
Dziękuję ;)
Great job... I built this kit 30 years ago LoL!
Thank you very much !
would you ever build a custom puma/Mi-24 Hind Gunship from rambo 3?
Nikola Bakich
too high ;)
high?
Nikola Bakich
... haha... not in my skill level ;)
This kit was Squadron's Kit Of The Year in 1990.
Good job especially brush painting Mr. Color paints, not an easy thing to do by any means. Even though we all start out with the brush.Though man if I had the money I would buy you an airbrush. Watching this makes me cringe at the old days where I had to brush paint a B-17 and it tooooook forever. Now most of my painting is with an airbrush. Anyways just wanted to say nice work, makes me want to get a hind now.
Thank you for your comment! A HIND in the own collection is always something special! It looks always very special ! Greetings!
Amateur? Great, now I need to make mine look this good or better. Or I'll have to accept that I'm less than amateur ;-)
Very nice work!
Thank you! I think i reached a new level with my last project... kind of "advanced amateur" :P Greetings and take care!
Amazing..! Beautiful.... too much details.. You are a Great Artist...!! I just Suscribed o your Channel... Greeting from Barquiisimeto-Venezuela..!!
Thank you very much ;) Enjoy my other videos ! Greetings from Berlin ;) !
Jajaja, Fuerza Aérea Sandinista. Creí que te venía un modelo de la Fuerza Aérea Soviética.
My friemd that's kit was made in base only a photos of the pentagon and several data of intel, like MIG -31; SU -25 of the series, for that reason the series of kits is calling Iron Curtain
Dobra robota! Dzisiaj otrzymałem paczkę z tym cackiem. Pierwszy model po ok 25 latach przerwy. Teraz czekam na kompresor i farby i zabieram sie do roboty! Mam nadzieje ze doświadczenia z malowania figurek do Warhammera sie przydadzą :) Pozdrawiam
Witaj!
Kolejne w kolejce to T90 i T14 Armata! Jeszcze mnie Hokum kusi z katalogu ;)
Witam Witam! Dzisiaj do mnie ta paczuszka przyjdzie, farby i klej gotowe!
Te kalki to totalny koszmar! Bym wiedzial to bym kupil kalki innego producenta. Ten niebieski papier sie rozpuszczal i wszedzie plywaly farfocle! SYF! Pozdrawiam !
good job. the model is very big and to build without airbrush is havy, i think so. da ich glaube, daß du deutsch verstehst 😃 geile arbeit
I probably wont get a response but I'm having trouble putting the main body together. What are some tips?
I had the same problem :) I solved it by sanding the cockpit area down till there was no tension on the parts in the front. After that the two main parts came together easily.
@@LucoModeling when will we see you make another tank/helicopter/aircraft model?
How did you make those scratches on the rotors?
You only paid five euros for this , that is good the decal sheet is worth that on its own . not a bad kit for its age and a nice build , let down by the finish , you should invest in a airbrush .
Do u have to make paint it urself with ur own materials or does it come with painting materials?
You need to buy your own paints! No Paints in the box !
37 dislikes from Mujaheddin...
I am from Indonesia, I want to get something like that, where I can get it
What colors do you use for the fuselage? please, a nice job
Sand Humbrol 63 (Spray), Grey Mr. Hobby 337, Brown Mr. Hobby 22
thanks bro
What paints were used
Really Nice work! What is the metallic paint for the rotors? They look so nice. Can I have the brand and code? Thank you. I gotta get me one.
Hi, I used the Revell 91 for it.
Hi guys,
I have this model but without instruction. Maybe someone have some can send scan or pics of it. I would be happy.
Hi, you can download from here: www.scalemates.com/es/products/img/6/2/7/140627-71-instructions.pdf greetings!
28:13 what color of the patch
Great work my friend. Any chance of colour call out for the cockpit interior mix please? And rest of colours you've used I want to get this kit too ;)
Thanks... you need to use 50% Emerald Green and 50% Skyblue...
Thanks buddy....Tamiya ?
Siônmarc Simpson
No matter which manufacturer... the color is importaint. I used waterbased Mr. Hobby paints to mix it
+luc-o thanks buddy
Hey LOCO..!! I enjoyed all the videos for this build..!! Thank you for sharing them.
One suggestion I would like to add for you to do is to re-label this video portion;
call it: *MIL MI-24 hind Gunship (1/48 Monogram kit) UNBOXING / FINAL REVEAL"
(A lot of people are confused about the order of the videos for this great build...)
Another suggestion: build another one.....The next one WILL TWICE AS F*CKING NICE...!!!! =)
You did an excellent job and very enjoyable to follow...take care..!!
Thanks a lot! Thanks for the idea. Im thinking already of relabeling my all videos and making new thumbnails. Take Care ;)
*I have that Monogram Kit!You can buy it from me!*
who squished some footage of flying tanks
Pretty cheap for a detailed '90s kit. I usually find '90s kit pricey and expensive selling for more than $40 to $80 max depending which model and brand.
Are you using Mr Color paint thinned with Mr Retarder to handbrush the kit? Fantastic work by the way👍
I used cheapest (but good) Humbrol thinner
What kind of paint ? 8:35 can we get their numbers
Mr. Hobby H25 and Mr. Hobby H46
and 9:30?
Пингун
Mr. Color 304 ;)
and. 14:53 metal l
Пингун
Just Humbrol 91 or 99

0:59 is that vietnam
no, some soviet testing area
Ohhhhhhhhhh because I’m into the history of Vietnam war I’ve seen the jungles like that
After see this video, in my opinion about this(product): If sprue stored in 1 bag it'll break small parts not only that but also scratched clear part. Molding plastic of this product is not so detail on 48 scale. Am not enjoyfull with big manual format , it look like read a newspaper (not simple). Other than that printed manual & decal not sharp (low resolution maybe). I'll give score 6 for this product
lazzy paint...
