hi Karen I really want to try the distressed inks. What colours would you recommend to get started with? You make it look so easy .and have truly stunning results. Thank you.
Depends on which colors you like, blues for skies and water, browns for trees or wood, greens for grasses and leafs. Just like with any new medium start with a small selection of colors to see if you like them, and if you do then work up a bigger set

Thank you for introducing the colorless blender to us! I usually user the Prismacolor pencil blender when i use one or sometimes gamsol, but the Caran De'ache full blender makes the colors so much more brighter. Thank you!

do you plan colors before you start your picture or just go with the flow ?
Hi Alyssa, I don't even pick out my pencil brand before I start...lol... for the most part I kind of have in mind what color the object is going to be, like the snail is going to be brownish with some yellow and pink, then I pick the pencils I will use and take out the shades that I think will work. With these guys I wanted to try out the color combo Lisa used, so I used the Black Widows.
