It worked for me!!! I’ve Watch dozens of videos, trying to pair my remote with Roku. The Remote was stuck in The pairing mode. Your demonstration was the only one that worked!!!

My remote just keeps blinking and never pairs :( not sure what to do. I've tried rebooting, unplugging, switching out batteries, etc. Nothing works, it just continuously blinks, never pairs, then stops blinking after a couple minutes
I just bought an Ultra with the voice pro model remote so I can't even swap out batteries... As far as the specific issue you and I are having, I tried pairing the trouble remote with another unit in my bedroom...and it paired immediately. Of course, that just pissed me off so I went back to the living room, tried to pair again....and nothing. I, for shit and giggles, decided to try a wifi connection (I have mine usually hard wired) and discovered the wireless module is not working whatsoever. In other words, it is not the remote. It is the wifi/remote receiver within the unit. Hope that helps.
Your video is so helpful. Bu I believe when say to unplug your TV for at least 30 seconds you really mean to unplug the Roku Ultra for 30 seconds. At least that's what worked for me. Regardless, a very helpful video.

I’ve tried this many times to no avail. The remote gets stuck in pairing mode even after I take the batteries out and place them back in! Any tips?

Same. two brand new, sealed box, 4K sticks. Hour on chat with tech support. Neither will pair. They're sending me two new remotes. Not particularly hopeful.

Hello! So I just got a new Samsung TV and added Roku, so I don’t even have the Home Screen open yet. I keep trying to pair the roku remote to the TV using your method, as well as other recommended methods and it still won’t work. Any ideas?

I had to return the roku to Amazon and they sent me a new one and that one paired. I think it's the software 🤔

why would unplugging the tv have any effect on the roku? the roku would stay on if you unplug the tv as its still powered independently

Check the Bluetooth on your phone or other devices. It might have made a connection with the TV, blocking the remote control.

Unplug the tv. I had the same question but it worked for me when I unplugged the TV
Both are tv but he unplugged Roku, that's why you're getting no signal on the screen.

this didnt work for me, mine is a roku tv not a roku device attached to a tv. I had to factory reset my tv before it would re-pair with the remote.

Didn't work for me. I've tried this several times and the green remote light is still blinking.
Can anyone help me try to get my Roku remote to go left and right it was not moving saw a video about to reset the remote and told me to unplug the TV and then press the sync button on back of the remote now I'm stuck with the TV not turning on by the remote because it's stuck in the green light with syncing light help!
Keep in mind my Samsung Smart 32 inch TV does not have a power button

Please READ! I just fixed my remote! What happen is the GREEN LIGHT on my roku remote was stop blinking all the sudden, like it’s dead, no reaction at all. So I searched and tried all the ways on UA-cam Google Facebook customer care etc. so I started changing batteries , reset, remote, reset TV, unplug and replug the TV and the Roku stick. NOTHING works! the remote just dead dead….I was like “maybe if I drop it on ground and it will work just like how I “fix” things when I was kid.” So I dropped the remote on ground naturally not like smash it! And that still NOT work, so DONT DO THAT! And then I was thinking why all the UA-camr was almost wising the same kind of batteries? (“same kind” cause I’m not sure if they are the same brand but they look the same) the rose gold with black color one, and I was using the silver with black color one ( sorry, I’m not sure the brand). Anyway, I putted some old batteries which is the rose gold with black, look exactly like the one in video, and I press the little button and the green light ON!!!!!!!!! Not sure if this help but thanks for reading! ( if you tried all the ways like me, try this😂 worth to try, at less better than buy a new one and only work for 3days like me…)
