This was pretty hard for TBBT casts. Acting in front of everyone in every episode. How awesome.
Like married with childs
Most actors do that you know, theatre actors do it daily.
How do you know it was hard for them?
It’s the same for every sitcom
I like how the audience would have to laugh at the same joke 4 times if they shoot the same scene 4 times 😂
I never thought the laugh was real. I was in season 8 and i got Curious about that laughing people and got here and got my mind blown. Wow
The laugh is not real. The laugh track is fake; in fact, you can hear the exact same laugh files being played over and over and over (of a specific man, and a specific woman; for example). What they do, however, is "sweeten" the fake track by splicing in some real laughter at specific points where people actually laughed; which are comparatively rare. Even if the show were that funny, which it's not, an audience (even an audience "in the mood to laugh" by where they're at) is not going to laugh hysterically and clap like lunatics after every single sentence; which is what happens in the end result.
I was thought it was real people. But videos kept saying laugh track. That's how I landed here. To see how it was done. It's 5 years since the show ended. But Young Sheldon is now ending and it has no audience. However, another show is coming.
some of it is def real, there are some moments in the show where you can here people have real reactions in the background it’s kinda cool
Lol the audience is held at gunpoint. If they don't laugh they get popped.
You're kind of right -- They use some kind of mass laughter control -- they do the same thing on Jerry Springer -- they pump up the audience so they will laugh on cue -- it's sickening.
Basically yes
They had script when they have to laugh
@@davemattiawhat 💀 stop watching conspiracy theories it's messing with Ur head
@@RED-my9hl Obviously, if you're not a bot, you have very poor reading comprehension. Whichever the case, you have never been to the taping of a TV show. of any kind (Game show, talk show, or other) You've never seen what is called an "audience warm-up" or you've never seen a LAUGH sign or a GIIGLE sign or an AWWWW sign. In fact, I don't think you've ever experienced much of anything.
This comment was typed in front of a live studio audience.
Really?
+okrajoe "HAHAHAHA"
But those are not real laugh audience
+alex kanyima doesn't matter to me cause now i can take on this as a actor and i think im ready even though my auditions are coming up! this is more easier for me remembering lines wise lol very cool process very long but still good process!
+Kenneth Brown but really it is not nessecary to use a laugh track
those people just laugh at random things, dont they..
They laugh when they are told to laugh, They are the sheepiest people they could find
When you're at a taping you get in the mood.
Americans..
hahahaha..

The igloo audience member was the funniest part. "I dont know i havent finished the course yet"
*Jim Parsons smile always seems to melt my heart away*

I attended a taping last year. It was a blessing to get tickets. Seeing the sets, especially the apartment sets, was surreal. It was a blast!!!
The people tells the audience to laugh? I don't think they do, i LOVE the show. I'm only curious.
@@cubby0623 Nobody is told to laugh. When the cast is doing their scenes, the laughter comes naturally if it's funny.
@@kasession Thanks, that's cool!
How big are Melissa rauchs boobs in person?
Sheldon is getting 1,000,000 dollars per episode.holy shit
that for 3-4 hours of work
Stan idiot
James Conroy edgy
That's what the "Friends" actors were getting by the final season
Nick River ya that's why they had to end the show
6:20 that laugh sounded sooo fake
Seeing this comment induced inside of me a wave of euphoria.
Thank you sir. Thank you.
@@FederalBeureauInvestigations The hell
you sound so fake - go away
It really makes you appreciate their show more when you see it on TV
I tried getting tickets for a year 😭 but I'm glad I got to watch this. This show will be missed. It started right before I graduated high school and now I'm married and on my way to being a mom of two.
damn youre fast
Hope ya finished college before having the “mini mes”

It is such a special experience seeing a live taping. Mark Sweet makes the crowd so excited throughout the whole show! The mockumentary comedy “The Counselors” was so lucky to have him on the other side of the camera as an actor!
this shows funny but they laugh at EVERYTHING
is it funnier live
+Matthew Brown Its because the audience are already laughing when they arrive. Its like people going to a comedy show expecting things to be funny so everything is suddenly hilarious. Hope that makes sense
+Horatio Nelson (coolrunnings1021) cool, I think I've got it
Horatio Nelson No because they laught in cue.
Yes.
I feel the same thing to stand ups. I laugh more often and louder when watching stand ups live. Watching them on TV, not so much.
when i watch big bang theory at tv, i see it different now. i think about the studio, the outtake
i thought the loughing is edited but the audience is really sitting there haha lool
they should put that igloo thing in a script. it was hilarious
" Tell me how an igloo is built."
" I don't know. I never finished the course" 😂😂
I wonder if they see Jim Parsons as a real person and not a Sheldon
Damn, I'd faint if I ever see Jim in real life. ❤️❤️😍😍
it’s like a semi theatre im crying
OH MY GOD had tears of joy just watching these lucky folks getting to watch my fav series live!!!
Even though I will probably never get to see a live taping of the show, I thoroughly enjoyed watching the "behind the scenes" presentation. I have a son who has many of the same quirks as Sheldon (he has Asperger's syndrome) and Jim Parsons portrayal of Sheldon has helped me immensely to understand how my son thinks...and his idiosyncrasies. Thank you to the cast, producers, and CBS for bringing this show to the airwaves. You have brought a light to the sometime darkness of the Autism spectrum.
lmfao this show is shit
hey dumb bitch. This is not how your son thinks. You are mistreating him because of it. You secretly hate him.
KILLKID agreed

Endlich mal eine Sitcom, wo die Lacher und der Applaus wirklich live im Studio ist und nicht eingespielt vom Band.
Liebe Grüße aus Deutschland! Greetings from Germany!
For me it’s not annoying when they laugh, it’s annoying when they laugh & APPLAUD. Like mm is not necessary unless is a genius mega excellent joke
"genius mega excellent joke" lmao
8:23 when Amy looks at the camera lmfao
I would be bored even if it was my favorite tv show, I like how they didn’t show the guy holding up sign that says “applaud” “laugh”
Ryan_james that’s why you take your preferred substances beforehand. And you can leave whenever you’d like.
Loved this!
i want to be one of those actresses sooo bad! this looks like so much fun!!!!!!!
One of my all time fav shows. So sad i never got to go on a taping. (I dnt understand why some of you in the comments are even here. Some of u hate the show, why are u here?)
Huh. For the actors it must be like a combination of theatrical and film performing. Neat.
Great show! Thanks for sharing this behind-the-scenes look.
We are so accustomed to laughter while watching sitcoms but when you think about it you realize how corny it is.
Hearing random laughter every 5 seconds out of nowhere - sometimes not even real reactions.
Just bizarre
My dad always referred to this show as Big Bang You In The Mouth Theory and to this day I have no idea why... This behind the scenes is awesome and more shows should do this...
The guy at 12:19 his face was like “you did not just say that.” For like a split second! 😂
Who kidnapped these poor souls?
I love watching them rehurse. And watching them actually performing on TV is even better.
Rehearse* 🤦🏻♂️
The Canadian guy in a red shirt was both funny and cute.

Thanks for showing this. I hope I can go to a taping one day.
I would love to see Big Bang theory filmed shame I live in the uk, looks an amazing experience.
Could always plan a trip on when they're planning to film new episodes.
April Wales they are filming 2 more season so you have 2 years left to try
Ikr same!
It sucks driving anywhere in Hollywood though. Only time I drive by the WB studios is after midnight. Screw traffic man.
I love this show so much! 😁
One of my top 5 best tv shows period!!!! The writing, the acting, the dialogue, the delivery of all the unique characters, the plot lines, the comedy, the drama this show is from top to bottom a 10/10
I’m going to sum a post I’ve read about the whole process of filming a single episode.
For each episode is an amount of 5 days to complete.
Day 1. They read the script to the actors, technicals and writers.
Day 2. General essay
Day 3. Real-time acting in front of CBS executives.
Day 4-5. Last essay with wardrobe and cameras, the climax of the week comes with a real time shooting in front of a 230 people audience (these people took months to get free tickets) sit an amount of 4-9 hours to presence the full episode filming.
EXTRA.
- WB Hollywood Studios, where the show was mainly filming has 6 different sets, 4 or them permanent, the remaining 2 are continuously changing.
- Basically happens what we saw on the video, the cast says hi, cast and 200 crew people work on the set for the 8 required scenes, with 4 camera in different angles.
- Mark Sweet is the host, who organizes games, gives souvenirs, gifts, etc; his job is to entertain the public despite the long hour journey.
- Mark Cendrowski, director. If he asks to repeat an scene, they do, and if that scene does not make people burst out laughing, he re-writes it at the moment.
- The producers assure TBBT is one of the few sitcoms that follows this process to make sure people are really enjoying the show. They don’t point audience when to laugh or make any sound.

Ps. Sorry for my English, non a native speaker.
Thanks, idk how you can sit there for 9 hours id be annoyed, even if it’s my favourite show lol
So many nerds.. I guess u left me out 😂
Ever notice they only show a small part of the crowd?? The edits are perfect. All a mirage. The laugh track editor must make a ton of money to get through this show.
I LOVE THIS!
added to my wish list - this year :)
This was great!!!👏👏👏👏😊
There’s times where the crowd has to stop laughing as a group to let the joke finished because they accidentally laughed too soon.
😆😆😆
This is amazing love it
It’s August 2020 and I just started watching this from season 1
Suddenly realised i am watching this episode right now😂
I never thought I'd like it, thought is was kind of stupid at first, grew to love it, really like this, thank you
So these are the people who make the show incredibly annoying?
Wait what??
That's them right there, Officer
@@kaiimochii4906 Don't worry. They're one of those weird "I don't need to be told when to laugh" people who think it's annoying for there to be laughter in a sitcom, as if they're on some higher intellectual plane.
@@OneLoveRSR or maybe because it's actually really annoying .
No, the repetitive jokes are
I love how they kept the best character on tbbt for last went they called out the cast members
this show is so amazing that I've ever seen.
because the actor grown up their motivation to watch the audience and the audience so happy to meet actor
both relationships are win-win.
Growing up near Burbank Ca...we often went to show tapings for various T.V. shows. It's fun and often the actors would take a moment to engage the audience.
Last one I went to was for Benson.
This must be an amazing experience 🥰
8:45 this guys funnier than the show itself
So old school. Love it
You could play drinking games to Big Bang theory re runs everytime you hear laughing take a swig of your beverage 🤣 also these crowds will literally laugh at anything
Sheldon’s bow though. 😂
Fãs do Brasil como eu sentiremos saudades da melhor série de comédia da nossa história parabéns pelo sucesso
I miss this show so much!!!!!
Wow.. I can't believe that much for just one episode... and I finish a season in one go on Amazon prime 😀😀
I wish I woud've been to one of those episodes... 😢 Extraño a mi grupo de Nerds.
I need those audience whenever I tell a joke.
this is my dream 😍😍😭
Jeez, being on a wait list in a Big Bang Theory line, what a horrifying fate.
Negative much?
Whisky At Noon I somehow read that in Sheldons voice... unlike the other comments...
Whisky At Noon not in a million years
it reminds me of the scene from jurassic park where they are going around on that ride at the beginning and looking through the glass at all the humans working
My dream is to be able tp watch TBBT live, even just one episdoe 🥺
8:01 I hear laughter, but I don't see a single person laughing.
It might be filmed in front of a live audience, but they absolutely use laughing tracks.
Thats the sound track from finished episode
@@gowthams5967 That's exactly my point
@サニャSanny I absolutely agree. They may film in front of an audience, but they _definitely_ augment the real laughter with fake laughter. Also, think of any scenes filmed outside - not the blue screen shots, but some sort of non in-studio, non blue screen shot. There's no way to do those scenes in front of the audience, and you can tell just by listening that they're using totally fake canned laugh track. So this show is a mix of fake and real laughing, but a lot of people don't get that.
Hey i started watching this show before 3 days, i today finished upto season 2, loved it so much. And i m in tears seeing this behind the scenes thing !! And as it is finished already I m sad thinking i will never be able to watch them live ! 😕😕
Same here
I would imagine that this process would harm the actors’ performances. Nevertheless, sitcoms don’t have the most demanding roles
A real fan watches the show like I am now n watches this during comersiales lmao
Wish I woulda been apart of that..
04:13 - Really mate?
You heard it right. 10+ millions watching live every episode. That's pretty magnificent,
Longest running sitcom
What was wrong with that?
@@Mark-xw5yt have you heard of two and a half men??

Gosh, this was a good show.
I love how all the haters are gathering up here in the comment section. I get a little bit annoyed by the people here, but then I remember that the show is rated 8.3/10 on Imdb and that most of the cast gets 1 million dollars per episode, so I'd still say that it's pretty successful.
Popularity and money doesn't equal quality.

as much as people like to hate about too much laughing , it is still original and infinitely better than hearing the same laught track over and over

I still think Dr.Sheldon Lee Cooper is real!!!
THIS IS LEGEND --- ARY!!!!
bukog it’s “legen- wait for it.... dary!!!”
Now I know where the laughs come from
what I hate about our society is that fake laughing has become so prominent, that once you don't laugh out loud at something it's considered that you didn't find it funny.
Try it out yourself, don't enhance your laugh artificially in any way, just let it overwhelm you if it can, you'd be surprised how rarely you actually laugh out loud.
I often watch entire Stand-up Comedy shows without laughing, while actually finding some jokes pretty funny. If everyone in the audience was like me, the show would have been considered a disaster. I wish we would find a different way to show appreciation for comedy than to fake laugh and let the beauty of overwhelming uncontrolable laughter shine through again.
Imagine laughing at every joke on a Big Bang Theory episode
funny how they put effort to show us REAL people laughing while they add prerecorded laugh....so sofisticated.....
GiacoC who cares? Mr. sophisticated*
how do they (Audience) laugh together and be synchronized?
why don't I hear 1 guy from the back laugh while the remaining don't?
i was looking around to see if there is a screen telling the audience what to do like laugh/ saying "oh"/etc..
The audio is recorded separately and if someone laughs longer, they will edit so you can't hear it, even tho, sometimes, you can hear people having a laugh attack and they keep it in the final cut.
How do they move the people to new sets/scenes?
I admire Jim so f***ing much
That was cool.
What episode is this ?
How can people laugh at the same joke more than one time between the takes
nicky nolivos I think a lot of them are dumb or old. And then I believe that in the moment, seeing something live is different than watching it on TV
@@Puppy_Puppington I heard that
There is very little outtakes on this once since they practice before the show!!
But I'm not sure what they do when they get things Wrong continuously
