I live in Arizona (2 years) (70 years in California, USA. I throughly enjoy listening to and watching Ian Runkle. His knowledge and willingness to share Canadian and Alberta law with the various Internet communities he contributes to. I take heed in his information on gun laws in Canada that cross over with a lot of the USA gun laws. He is a talented leather worker and his sense of humor is unmatched. He and Rob of Law and Lumber, Uncivil Law and the, plus many more, are quite the team for entertainment. This man is wonderful. I am proud to call him a “UTube” friend. Thank you Ian❤
Thanks for the explanation of the Saskatchewan Firearms Act....I am so very happy to live in rural Saskatchewan! Having moved here from BC where no doubt Eby and Dix will welcome and assist the confiscation of literally anything.....to deflect from their horrid crime stats.
Its crazy to me that so many Canadians just sat by while Trudeau used events that happened down here in the states to curtail the rights of law abiding Canadians. There needs to be more Canadians like this fine elf speaking here.
Excellent breakdown of provincial forethought. I hope it brings some awareness to the federal government on how damaging their arbitrary and ideology based agenda really is to average Canadians.
The federal government has sole jurisdiction over criminal law "making". But the provinces have jurisdiction over criminal law "administration" such as policing. Given the Firearms Act reference case making the distinction that federal law making over firearms is purely criminal law and not related to any other federal jurisdiction - there is a lot more that could be done here.
Hi Ian. Love your work and your whole career choice. Odd ball question you may have covered elsewhere. What would be good for a licensed firearms owner to do on their will to specifically cover what happens to their firearms? In my case I’m keen for my adult kids get licensed so they can take over the hunting rifle. For my pistol it’s trickier as licensing for that is a while other kettle of fish and they won’t get a pistol license probably.
what if we the people reimburse the ailing gun stores that have been blocked by the fed? that way they have no need to cooperate with the fed; There's quite a few million of us, it'd be like 5 bucks each, and we could save their livelihoods...You think they would freeze our funds?... I love the Saskatchewan system! I hope AB adopts it...I greatly enjoy Ian's common sense approach when explaining how the system works; He should make an organization like the uscca if one doesn't yet exist in Canada.
The Trudeau Government paid Colt Canada $32,000 a rifle for a semi auto AR platform rifle for the CF sniper spotters to use, in December of 2020 - after the May 2020 OIC. Just sayin' ;-p
This is not, nor has it ever been a gun control issue. The issue is the erosion of general freedoms for all Canadians whether being firearm owners or not.
What if they accidentally identify a ballistics concern that is untrue? Somebody will accidentally get crucified for some old clunker that their grandpa bought in the 1920’s that hasn’t been fired in 60 years yet ties to a Jane and Finch full auto street war?
I will do the confiscation think of the money. 1million dollars a gun i will be rich in a month. Government will be broke but i can then go somewhere friendly to the new collection the government paid me to have😂😂
I'm really glad that someone like Ian Runkle is out there to help us with these ridiculous Canadian laws

Nice to hear that some provinces are standing up to the federal government 🍻
Albertans love blaming someone else for their own problems.
Great job Ian @RunkleOfTheBailey

Wow seeing Ian speaking in person would be cool.
I fully expected him to make a great presentation and I wasn't disappointed. Ian is a champion in firearms owners' corner. Great work!
Great Speech!
Nice when Ian breaks it down into plain english. I wish Ontario would adopt those rules.

Great stuff!
Hey there TUG!
Business up front and party in the back lol. He’s such a great councillor. I really enjoy his UA-cam channel. Thanks for all your hard work Ian.
Bravo Ian 👏🏻
Ian is locked and loaded with his legal smarts!
Wow, you guys have some really great guests lately!
I’m in Quebec and I will be honest I am very envious of people in Alberta and Saskatchewan right now.
We need this in Quebec but it's color dreaming!
I say good luck to them on their short lived lives

Nice tie, Runkle 😉
Great information, but I do wish questions and answers were included.
great audience questions!

Well... the feds can always ignore the laws, force the issue, then maybe settle with the provinces a couple decades later.
Nice lan
Has anyone consider that these government proxy agents might get killed trying to confiscate legal property?
Never mind the (very good) lecture - isn't that THE Tie? the much travelled tie?
Its already happening in Australia with Banning Calibers starting this year.

it's only for them! not for the commoner
Guess all of us outside Alb and Sask are screwed. 🤢🤮
This sounds so ridiculous! I feel for you Canadians.
In this rare case ridiculous is good, lol
