Hello sir, one problem I can see in health insurance claim. One scenario want to share with you and want to hear your opinion
My friend father was admitted to tata cancer hospital kolkata and they provided 2 type of package
1. Cashless in which chemotherapy is not need to pay and he has to pay for only radiology which cost 2.50 lac.
2. For cash he had pay around 2 lac for chemo and radiation in package.
So he opt of for 2nd option since he had to pay less but during the claim it got rejected since he not able to share bill breakup. Tata hospital told since treatment is done under package they are not able to share bill breakup.
Did not get any solution from insurance grievances cell.
What we should do in above scenario?
Why health insurance company is not accepting package treatment bill ?

They won't because from their pov it may have extra treatment not covered in policy t&c

I have the final patient bill summary and bill breakup. But they are asking for individual receipts mentioned in the main bill. I did not save the individual pharamacy bills. What should i do now?
The mail bill has the receipt no, date and medicine details.. But still they are asking for the individual bills.

Ask the hospital for duplicate copy or medical bill breakup printout . If not availabe, you canot get that claim
