Amazing!! 16S - jesus H. You @WestHobbiesRC have a lot to answer for - my next upload is testament to this. Thank you Jeff for what you do for the hobby. Bravo!
@@HeliShed Thank you! I try my best. Yes sir! 16s! 20,000 watts of power! It’s fast…. Really fast!
Hello Jeff, great video, I'm very happy of it and of your feeling about the machine!!
Hey Diego, Thank you! You guys designed and built an incredible Heli!
Great video and awesome looking machine. Looking Forward to see the maiden flight. Thanks for sharing this awesome project. 🚁😎
absolutely beautiful build! fantastic job!
Amazing job dude, I love those thick wires, excellent choice..good job !! 😃
Seems to be the rolls Royce of Helicopters 👍👍👍
It sure is!
thank you !
Jeff, this helicopter is nothing less than beautiful and amazing! Can’t wait to see this one fly!
It’s a work of art! I could just stare at it all day long lol White videos coming very soon. It flies amazing
thank you !!!
Finally your open bald! Love this so much!
Yes sir! It’s done and flying!
Jeff, 😮 this helicopter 🚁 is eye candy for myself, all of the custom machined parts are beautiful and the main and secondary shafts are made from 6AL4V or titanium as you non machinists say 😂, the belt system’s are impressive and the amazing west hobbies custom motor with huge 6 gauge wires, very impressive, the entire helicopter is just breathtaking, Jeff congratulations 🎉 on such a great build and good luck 🍀 at the upcoming event.
Thank you! It’s been 10 months in the making to have all of this done. The guys who designed it did an incredible job on the machining and the carbon fiber layout. It looks even better in person. Just amazing! That’s good to know, I’ve always known of it as titanium lol Thank you! We leave in a week and time to win!
We use Titanium GR5 (the best) for the shaft, all carbon are High Modulus or Ultra High modulus. for my setup, all screw/nuts are also in titanium
Geez Jeff that was a ton of work. It came out great but I don't know if I could commit to that level of detail. Hope you have tons of fun with it and enjoy this really mean machine. Cheers
It sure was! Lots of work to build but well worth every second! It’s insane! So fast! Flys better then any other speed Heli. It’s on rails!
Oooh, Can i expect to see this with you at IRCHA? it looks absolutely beautiful! Amazing heli, cant wait for full vids with this, keep it up jeff!
Yes, you can! It will be there on display as well as flown for speed up. So depending on which day you get there come by and watch it fly and see it in person at the BK booth.
All I can say is you are the man, that thing just looks amazing sir,bad ass, helicopter!I would be too scared to try and fly.
Thank you Glen! It is an incredible piece of machinery and work. The carbon and machining work is amazing. The helicopter flies incredible it is so solid straight in tracks like it’s on rails. It’s definitely nerve wracking flying a Heli that’s custom made lol
This is beautiful, amazing machine work
@@kilacell they did a beautiful job on the machine and carbon work
You’re a mad genius my friend. Amazing work as always.
Thank you buddy! I appreciate it!
Simply amazing!! Wow!!! 😍
Thank you Don! It’s amazing!
Absolutely amazing machine💪
It really is! It flies even better than it looks lol
Can't wait to see you rip it!
@@gkhin1990 flight videos coming soon! Nothing special low head speed tuning flights. Full send will be at speed cup!
Hi Jeff < I saw your speed monster build yesterday here on holiday in Greece 🇬🇷 I hope it goes better than last year < a few more weeks of practice.& fine tuning - - - go go go Jeff🏎️
I wish i was able to get a full sized comet, i have the mini right now, but i love the look of the full size
The comet is an incredible speed Heli. This one is based off of the comet, but only SAB parts are the police and head stuff. They designed the fuselage the mechanics, all that good stuff. It is half the weight of a regular comet stronger and faster.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 have you ever thought of putting a triple blade on the comet, or does that not increase the speed?
@@ryanrekz7744 it will slow it down. Three blade is great for 3D and or scale but three blades on a speed heli is not going to do anything but slow it down.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 thank you for the info that does make sense as it is more drag
Very awesome bro. Yeah you have quite abit out did yourself here, the turbine is amazing but this is on a new level. Great job and thanks for sharing. That damn thing is gonna beat the road runner, Beep! Beep! :)
Thank you, buddy! I appreciate that, this was the project. I was hinting that after the turbine was done got to always outdo myself lol now the problem is what do we build next to outdo the turbine and this?!
Speed demon 👿
It really is!
Does the tail fin help stabilize at high speed? Or whats the main effect/reason for it? Awesome heli!
Wow Jeff, this thing is incredible. Looking forward to some flights from this bad boy. Are those MKS servos programmable like Theta, KST and Torq servos? Do you know what brand those bearings are that you are using? I would like to upgrade my Nimbus 550 with some better bearings. Did you just mount that Xgaurd capacitor with double-sided tape?
It is an incredible speed helicopter! It flies so straight and true like it’s on rails almost effortlessly! And stupid fast lol the power is insane. No, MKS servos are not programmable. But they are the only servo with massive output spines that you want to handle these kinds of forces. They are German made bearings. Not sure where to get them. The guys who designed this model sent the bearing with it.
Perfect manual for other pilots ...
Thank you for designing a heck of a speed Machine! Thing is amazing!
@@westhobbiesrc8051 3 year of developpement , test, crash ... but main , pleasure
Wow! Nice!!! When do when see the maiden?
I’ve already got quite a few testing flights on it. Couple flight videos coming soon nothing special low head speed getting it dialed in gonna turn it all the way up and let it eat at speed cup.
That looks fricken killer, holy hell! So with no oneway if the motor looses power for any reason does that mean no option to autorotate? If so that would add an extra extra pucker factor to flying this beauty 😬
It’s a monster! Flys even better than it looks! So kinda, if motor loses power for any reason you can not Auto like a regular Heli. It will be a glided fall. I’m sure you can keep the head speed up enough but it would be a chore and something I don’t want to try! lol
in Speed , 99% of Heli with a motor loose and with oneway are dead , when you fly near 300 km/h. I crashed becasue my oneway not accept big motoro power, so I deleted this problem.
She's pretty. What heli are you going to use for the speed competition?
It’s beautiful! This will be the main Heli I compete with. I’ll have my modified Yellow comet as a back up if needed.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 I'm looking forward to the maiden of this one
Love it the best looking heli ever . How do I get my hands on one . I know it’s custom but I still want to purchase one please share where .
@@morrisdelawski7941 Thank you! It’s a monster! Unfortunately they will not make anymore. There was only a few made and I’m the only one in the US that was able to get one. Maybe in the future but as of now they are not making any more.
Make sure you secure those pesky GPS units.
so awesome I am struggling getting a 400 in the air. I am so behind on flight controllers and radio protocols and it is ruining this hobby for me
Which fc are you using?
@@tdogfpv well goosky on the rs4 which is now on the fritz due to burnt out servo so next is the micro beast x 5.4 with the blissy blue tooth module on the align 470 and i have a nexus for the tb 40 after that
@@leonautic1979 I would setup the microbeast first to get you in the air, and then maybe further down the road try the nexus. That nexus will fly as good as a vbar, it just takes a lot of tweaking and tinkering
Personally, I would recommend just going with an ikon FBL and being done with it. They are fantastic FBL super simple to set up. You can use any receiver. You like to go with your transmitter. Microbes can be very complicated! That is probably one of the hardest to set up any Roto flight is OK but again can be very complicated.
@@westhobbiesrc8051 will have to try because this is getting out of hand how much I need to know just to put a heli in the air when none of my helis are the same make or brand in the electronics department
