Boneworks 1.5 is coming on 6/18/20! Enjoy a new zombie mode along with general improvements to the player.

I really like the idea of holding off zombies with boards in a house and running away from them as the horde moves. Its like a night of the living dead VR. Wish I had VR.
If you can pickup an old rift for 150

@@deride8676 maybe he's making a joke about the "what if this is a tech demo" graffitis. Doubt it tho. Trying to trigger people? Likely. Perhaps he just doesnt like boneworks or cant play it because of motion sickness. No real way to know unless he were to say exactly what his problem with boneworks is, which he most likely wont.

I can’t wait to try this out! Boneworks has been my favorite vr game since I got the vr. It was my first too. Thank you to the developers for the constant updates. You guys are the best. I had so much fun with my friends playing this game in my bedroom. Thank you so much!

Some things I want to come to this game:
Multiplayer (doesn't matter if it's co-op for the story mode or multiplayer sandbox servers, multiplayer would be an amazing addition)
Steam Workshop support (for custom sandbox levels, custom weapons, custom playermodels, etc.)
If these are added, it would make one of the best VR games even better. I'm not demanding you guys to add this. Just making a wishlist of features I would like to see in the future.

Both of those are being made as mods. There's a multiplayer mod in the works, and there were custom maps for the game from day 1. Check out the boneworks discord, they talk about it there: discord.gg/bedYMTS

If the last update they added to Boneworks was some kind of community content support, I'd be pretty happy. The community could focus on having fun making content for Boneworks and SLZ can move on from the project to work on their next game.

This is what all other VR games need to strive for. This is my fav game hands down!
And also to avoid, since the game itself was a failure, but also the devils advocate for more freedom and physics in VR.

They're quite predictable. Just wait for them to lean back, then a second later, they'll jump. And remember, it's just a game. They (probably) can't hurt you :)

Can't wait. Absolutely love boneworks, Brandon. It gave me a feeling only a special few games have given me through life; this will undoubtedly be remembered fondly as the first VR game I fell truly in love with, and added to my imaginary all time greats list. I'd have quite literally shat my pants had I played this 20 years ago - all 10 year old me ever dreamed of.

thank you Brandon for convincing me I’m not ready for saints and sinners because throughout this whole gamemode I stayed in the house till round 11 where I got the zombies to kill me because I heard crablets
If Boneworks gets multiplayer, this is the perfect mode for it

this won't have multiplayer for the same reason hotdogs, horseshoes and hand grenades won't have multiplayer: everything is physics based, and making sure it's all properly synced between players is already extremely difficult if you're making a multiplayer physics-based game. it's practically impossible if you already have a game where physics and then want to make it multiplayer. it requires almost a complete re-write of the game's systems.

i would love to see improvements to AI, and this is a step in right direction, would be awesome if you guys would add a hard mode to the story mode

Can we please have a setting that decouples the HMD view from the physically accurate rig? This would allow physically accurate simulation of the player character w/o the simulation affecting the HMD in-game position. I NEVER get motion sick in VR and I still cannot play this game due to motion sickness even from walking around and it makes me sad. Don't have the heart to refund it as I love what you guys are doing in the VR space and happy to support you - but experiencing major FOMO for this title
not even HLA can do 1:1 hand tracking. it's always gonna be a little inaccurate.
@@monkeydad47 I understand the latency issue in that regard - but Boneworks is on another level of delay - I'm mainly concerned about the head tracking though.
@@Enite I don't think it needs the simulation disabled for hands, but clearly something needs tweaked. My hands can clearly move much faster than in-game, and can lift objects without bouncing. There's some weird physics dampening issue going on. That's also what causes the grossness in motion, especially climbing--somehow pulling yourself up with one arm grasping a ladder = weird bouncy motions = AUGH.
@@monkeydad47 Incorrect, the tracking system itself is sub-mm, the jitter is at a resolution so small that the human brain cannot physically pick up on it. If you are having tracking issues, it's due to occlusion or lighthouse position, or if you are inside-out you need proper light, and of course those kits have inherent occlusion anyways since the sensors only exist on the HMD and can only track some space in front of you. PC-VR tracking is 1:1, it's been like that since HTC vive and CV1 Rift in 2016
@@Demmrir It's not an issue **facepalm**, it's an effect to simulate weight of VR objects. Yes, the HMD is connected to a IK physics-based body and that is the source of the issues with boneworks motion sickness. But it's intended as so. Boneworks is for advanced VR users only. If you are getting motion sick, it's becasue you are not acclimated yet.
You are literally complaining about features of the game engine and mechanics themselves that are completely intentional.
So this might be thing thing that helps this dethrone Fallout 4 VR from my most played VR game (don’t ask me how it is just now, idk)
