Whn I was a new Christian and not sure how to pray, it was helpful to put a chair next to mine, and i invited my Lord Jesus to sit with me, and I began confiding in Him, like with a very close friend. I felt so loved, so understood, and my life has been blessed. Thank you, God. ❤😊
I am now 80 years old and when I look over my life I realize that my faith in God and adherence to my deep rooted Christian principles, never wavering from my core beliefs, has ensured my well being all along the way.
Praise God for that because you can't save yourself. Nobody is good enough. You have nothing to offer God without Jesus.

I can’t believe how beautiful this devotion is. Thank you.
I have noticed and see a pattern in my life where my prayers are incredible intense when I face intense stress. However, when life stresses fade away. My prayers fade away. When life is good, I keep Jesus at a far distance. This cycle repeats itself again and again. It frustrates me to the point that now I only want stress and pain. Then I know I will always be pursuing God.
I would be a fool if I treated my wife or children like that. Only speak and ask for help when I need them,then turn around and ignore them we they are no use to me. My marriage would not last. My relationships would disappear very quickly.
Same goes with my relationship with Jesus. My desire is to lean and walk with Jesus even MORE when life is good. To praise and adore him for who He is, my Saviour, my King and my Friend. to be in step with my Heavenly Father. the author and profector of my faith.

You sound like me in my 20's, that is, I can relate. Be encouraged; use little 3 second prayers throughout the day of things or people that need prayer. God sees you trying and says, "I am going to bless you with more." You will grow. Another thing is to say, "Thank you God, show me more," after hearing a 'revelation' like this video or having a God-thought or while reading your Bible and you get a sudden inspiration.
This is incredibly insightful. But don’t feel that you have to pray to two or three different persons. All the fullness of the Godhead bodily is in Christ and you are complete in him.
Because after stress and pain you humble
Learn to be humble without it being humbled
Also look into some things you take in to your body that may effect your behaviour and make you less humble, alcohol caffeine, even strong supplements , over eating, being idol
learn to lessen your hart and your mind ( impressions ) walk with God through the day every day and he will change you and will be with you all day long and your prayers will me meaningful and hart feel
God will only have humbled people ether we humble ourselves or he humble us

AMAZING!!! I woke up not too long ago reflecting on my foul day yesterday. I was upset with myself for feeling irritated and overreacting to my mother. The Holy Spirit guided me to watch this video. I've been wanting to hear every aspect of this video!!! Being emotional and expressing myself without reserve, from the heart, is freedom on another level. I've been overthinking about the right formula to use in different aspects of my life. Which undoubtedly has created immense stress for me throughout my entire life. I'm at a point where I can recognize God guiding me to safety. Words can not describe the calm reassurance I felt after watching this video for the first time. Again, God answered my prayers, letting me know he understands and LOVES me just the way I am. What a relief to know that I don't have to repeat myself in prayer constantly. Immense joy filled my heart when I realised, that this is how the Holy Spirit guides me to pray everyday. N this is what I follow. for there is much pain in the world. Yet the joy of God keeps us and his faithfulness nurtures us. ❤
My problem is, that when I try to just sit quietly in God's presence, my mind just wanders, or worse, I fall asleep 😔

I've talked to God, lots.
Mostly to cry and complain.
Why me? Why must I endure this? Why am I subject to the collective free will, at the expense of my own?
I cursed God. I cursed all of you too!
I never received a response. Not until the one time I apologized to God.
For my part in it. For cursing him and all of you to. For being a cry baby.
The response I received was clear, and life changing.
"ALL IS EXPECTED, you are my kid, and you are still a child".
My father only loves me. I know this, I felt it.
He's rooting for us all!
We must have the knowledge that God wants us to continue to grow. Growth was never promised to be easy, but it will be completed.

I actually feel closer to God since I've started talking with God not just pray but really talk to God as though he is sitting opposite me and listening to my many hurdles and trials. Prayer with the heart by Jean Khoury is a great short book to explain prayer of the heart. It's inspired by Christ first the the Doctors of our Holy Church... Sr. Therese, John of the Cross et al. It certainly opened my mind and heart to praying with the heart. Bless you all!

This is gold. Definitely going to listen again and take notes so that I am able to articulate them to someone someday. I will incorporate this with my habit I am learning: "Thank you God, show me more," that I say occasionally when reading Bible, listening to a sermon, or even when I get a meditative thought. Prayer should be a joy, not a struggle; but for me it is an uphill battle. Too many 'voices' vying for attention; too many distractions. Dear Lord, please help me to love you more.

This was a great video. I paused it several times to commune with my Father in the ways it suggested. I pray daily to thank my Father for my blessings, none of which I did anything to deserve. I love the thought of God being the father of the prodigal son (in my case daughter) and him running to meet me. I can’t wait to be with Jesus and my Father someday.

I think we use rituals too much. Prayers etc when in truth God listens to our hearts not our words.

To me, if I had only 1 sentence to sincerely pray with it being my best attempt to convey to God everything, I think my prayer would be, "if or when it is your will, I pray to truly know everyone the way you do, but I am not capable, and humbly ask that I could see me the way you do." I think God wants a relationship, true and sincere with everyone and I think it says in scripture to have prayer without ceasing (but I may be wrong). I think that means a constant internal conversation that is honest, humble, respectful and reverant. It is the best way I can convey in words the way I think about it in my mind. What started as a thought experiment to me (if I had only 1 sentence to pray a lifetime of prayer), has helped me try to expand and improve my relationship with both God and people. I always look to try and better that prayer or thought experiment because relationships and understandings constantly evolve. The point is to get them to be better and more sincere, which I feel is a neverending task and a life not wasted.
To start with, pray the Our Father every morning when you awaken and every evening before you sleep. Do it sincerely and humbly and heartfelt. Feel free to then thank God at the end with a few of your own words and also make any requests. But let it be sincere and don’t think you need to use many words. A simple short request or thanksgiving is plenty if it’s sincerely from the heart.
The main thing is to be mindful of God all day and that He is with you always at all times. He hasn’t left to go somewhere just because you ended your prayer, but He is still there so you can talk to Him at any moment. Often the best prayer is the shortest for example "please help Rosie pass her exam". No need to go on and on. Just ask once in faith with love and leave it God. He doesn't need an essay.

People of the world never left me alone long enough even to pray , so now I talk openly to God ( like he is walking right beside me ) all-day long . It no longer bothers me not to pray a five minute prayer because I hold open prayer and conversation , day and night . And I no longer care what people think about that . Pre warning before we meet .
