Looks like a good fishing game. In the Spring Creek Open they actually placed you in Polecat Hollow creek. I've not caught any smallmouth in there. Lake Guntersville isn't known for smallies, though. There are a few. Seems like something the developer should maybe tune down a little to say 5% chance of ever catching one. Looks fun though!
I can already tell this is light years ahead of Rapala Pro Series. Rapala Pro Bass 2010 was easily the most fun fishing game I ever played. What these developers do now is a damn shame. At least this one has structure in every area of what a game should be. I just wished we could view fish from inside the water and have the fish stay in the same area so when you cast a second time, you can see the fish from a different angle. Seems like fishing games kind of randomize the fish in the water per cast and it just feels too digital. Idk, I'll try this one for sure. There's so many little things I wished games had that each one misses out on. I'd like just one, just one awesome fishing game for all others to look up to. It would make so much money and make people want to play. Kind of like FIFA, they made an awesome game and got people talking. Even people who never played those games fell in love. That's what I wish one decent, fun game with lots of thought had in it. Just takes one.
With frustration from Rapala PS4, I immediately spent $25 for the deluxe edition in the PlayStation Store. That was two days ago and I now love this game. There are many things that I wish were either added or changed, but the good easily outweighs the bad. Some of things I wished were changed are simply because it is a "sim" game so I have to keep my bias at a minimum and remember this. If there were to be a second game, I'd like them to address these issues. Otherwise, I love it! For what it is, it's beautiful, it's extremely relaxing, and most of all things make sense! Being able to use a trolling motor while you fish is groundbreaking, seriously. It's games like this that push just a little more to the market that makes this market grow and in return, we all get an even better experience for the future. Excellent job guys!
i agree with everything you said. i bought that Rapala ps4 game not long after it came out. within a week i took it to Gamestop and sold it to them. i never owned the 2010 ps3 Rapala game, but i borrowed it from a relative back then and it's way better than the new one. but the best fishing game that iv'e played/owned is Bass Pro Shops:The Strike for Xbox 360. it was fun and i caught loads of fish in that game. seems like back then developers actually knew how to make and cared about the hunting/fishing games they made. now in this console generation that we are in there hasn't been any great fishing games, but FSW is good. after looking at some youtube vids about it i decided to buy it last week and i have been enjoying it so far, there's some stuff that i don't like about it such as the long fish fights for smaller fish, and the poor hook set being completely random at times, but i'm learning quickly thanks to the helpful tutorials in the game, iv'e bagged 2 bass over 10 pounds on a poor hook set and they both put up a good fight.
Finally an awesome fishing game!! The graphics are beautiful, the the water effects are amazing, the islands are great!! With fishing it’s all about the patients game! I am advent fisher, it’s one of my hobbies!! It’s relaxing and peaceful!! That was a huge bass! Nine pounds, I have to say that one of the biggest I have seen!!! I want to see more tournaments and other fishing!! Great vid diesel!! Please make a series out of this!!
I can see by your photo you are probably playing Ultimate Cash Grab Sim. If you want to actually play a fishing game that doesn't try to rob your wallet just to fish a lake this would be the way to go. Greatest fishing game out
yeah, I watched this game being played by the dev's earlier yesterday i think, and i noticed it took WAYYY too long to reel in the fish like, the last 10-15 feet. it doesn't want to come in. that should be addressed, for sure.

I've never actually caught a bass so I didn't get the satisfaction of doing it to my own. But there was a stranger fishing next to me who got lucky. So I walked over and started roasting that bass so bad he wished he was never born.
I love how hard fishing games make it to reel fish in. It's not like your deep sea shark fishing lol It's a freaking bass! Also, 20 mins pft IRL it would be hours to catch one sometimes. I used to love fishing as a kid with my dad, but it is super boring at times.
Still learning. Caught 2 fish this year. Attempted about 15 outings. Have to settle for video game fishing seeing as apparently Florida just doesn't want me to experience joy.

DO NOT BUY THIS GAME. Fishing Sim world is horrible. I've lost over 200k tackle points by tournaments not logging my catches. No one from dovetail had fixed the problem let alone contact me more than once.

You need to work your drag. Can’t just stay at 25 Working the drag helps bringing in the fish
