I got to go behind the scenes on all of the coasters at waldameer! The best was when we got to climb up the ravine flyer!!! We also got to climb on the tracks! We got to go under the station and see in the control booth ! AWESOME EXPERIENCE
This is one of the best videos you ever posted. Not only is it a great ride but u were able to get some amazing shots. How the heck did they let u film on the lift hill? Never seen that before. Were u nervous u might get hit by the train?
Respect for getting permission to film from the lift hill. I see from Google Earth that the ride gets a 50' boost by dropping off into the ravine.
Who did they have to pay how much money to GET that permission??
Edotter The little park has only one coaster, and now thousands of people know it. I'd say this is pretty good advertising.
Actually I go to this park about 20 times during the summer! They have 5 roller coasters! GET YOUR FACTS RIGHT

I highly recommend you guys to ride this coaster, it's soo fun. Today was my first day actually riding this and after I got off I kept getting back on.
lets say this: (doing some math(not real park times))
park times: 6am-6pm
from the gate if your first in line right before it opens it takes 20 minutes to get to the ride.
6:00+20=6:20
lets suppose the ride is already done testing and is ready for the first load!
also 2 people help people fasten they do 1 seat of 2 people in 1 second... 24 people per train 24/4=6. the ride is 1:30=1:36 it would take you around 1 minute to get off the train and run back up to get on again=2:36
now to simplify into seconds:
42,000 seconds time you have
156 seconds each ride
42,000/156=270!
You could ride this ride around 270 times in 12 hours!

Is it smooth? All the rides with PTC trains I‘ve ridden yet were rough and shaky.
It's not terrible, but you're gonna feel it. Gives you a slight headache but it's most definitely worth a ride. It's fun. 7 out of 10 for me.

@@jojo_hendriks I've only ever been on 5 in my life, 3 of which were at Geauga Lake and are now defunct, the other 2 at Cedar Point. Out of those, I would rate ravine flyer number 1.

They film from the catwalk, and they probably allow it since it is a rink-a-dink park.

Isnt this a hybrid technically cause it has steel supporslts. Or does it only work when its steel coaster with wood supports?
The classification of a wood coaster or steel coaster depends on the track itself :)
Soooo the rmc iron horse coasters arent hybrid. Cause they have been deemed a hybrid? Gemini, ntg, iron rattler, Medusa steel coaster and others are hybrids i belive.
Astro Gamer it depends which RMC it is, Goliath (SFGam) and Outlaw Run are wooden coasters, but New Texas Giant, Medusa Steel Coaster and everything they are doing next year, are hybrid :)
A hybrid is a roller coaster where the supports are made of a different material than the track. Ravine Flyer II is a wooden hybrid, where Gemini would be a steel hybrid. I've worked both of those coaster too!
