Unfortunately, the "update" is likely a creative writing exercise, posted many years after the original post and in no way affiliated with it (the original account was deleted) and only after the post started to get read on TikTok and UA-cam.
If you're actually sorry then you should immediately divorce your wife. You should suffer since he did. It was her daughter that lied to begin with. Apologies are worthless. If you're actually sorry then you should be willing to endure suffering as well.
I played the game "Among Us" for about a year, and I realized how easy it can be for a person to be falsely accused, and how important it is to look beyond that initial claim. The other thing I will say is that the families don't seem to understand, this action is not like closing a door that can be easily opened back up. It is more like burning the house down and then expecting it to some how be magically rebuilt just by saying "I'm sorry". It doesn't work that way. Betrayal does serious (possibly catastrophic) damage that takes years (or decades, or entire lifetimes, possibly more than one) to heal. Make a sincere apology, do your best to atone for your mistake (knowing that you probably can't) and then GTF out of the way so the person can heal.
You're lucky he came back to you at all and didnt just abandon you like you did him. The only thing parents who believe accusations like this with no evidence deserve is "you chose your side" and nothing more. Cruel? Not nearly enough. They dont deserve a second chance after not even giving you a second thought.
The part that confuses me is how the post of the parent's perspective is the outright admit that the person who got accused was one of the kindest people they knew or whatever. But I'm like if that's the case then why are you so quick to believe those allegations despite knowing full well that this would be completely out of character for them?!
I understand people wanna believe the victim.. But the fact they NEVER give the other party a chance to speak is what kills all attempts to "fix" things in the future... That's why you go to the professionals IMMEDIATELY. As the average person and family, I see, lacks proper objective thinking and reasoning to give benefit of the doubt and remove their emotions and familial ties from the situation to make a concrete decision and read between the blatant lies. So many lives destroyed from false allegations of SA or cheating that could've been staunched the moment it came out if more than one party involved was sane and reasonable
So.. His life is ruined. The stepmother just got disinherited and sent off, with no other real punishment. The son was arrested. His girlfriend left him. The school expelled him. His friends turned away from him. Sure, the father 'felt bad', after not believing the son that went the extra mile.. All it takes is a woman and one lie, and a man's life is ruined..
I remember this story, but thanks to UA-cam been as trash as always it got deleted. Glad to hear from the son and that he managed to leave for a better life. I agree the father sugar coated the story so he could look more sympathetic. What gets to me is that the step daughter got away with murder and the supposed to be inheritance that she might be removed doesn't mean anything. She can get back into the inheritance if the parents are weak enough and she tires them with the enough lies and tears. Also the court system today is just as trash as UA-cam and Google so you only need a judge that uses the orders in the inheritance as toilet paper to clean his behind and give everything to the step daughter. Honestly OP should try to stay in Japan if his new family has it good over there. Maybe get a good job or open a business. Heck maybe both ... Anyway good to listen to his side and hope that his new post gets a UA-cam video.

@Michael-zi3kk He shouldn't have done it, period. Self-harm isn't a good thing. However, I've witnessed and felt the effects of s*icide either among my family peers or friends enough to understand what goes on in their heads at the time before they do it. Typically, their minds think of it as the most "logical" choice, seeing no other way out besides that. Maybe, for the father, his logic was that his death would give his son a demented sense of peace. (Or more or less karmic revenge/satisfaction) He was wrong.
@@Blurgamer17 I completely agree with you it's always wrong and nobody should ever do it they should think about the people who still care about them and how many people are going to hurt by doing that and regardless of the reason they want to do it they shouldn't do it and they should get help immediately
@Michael-zi3kk biggest problem with the victims who successfully attempted is that they are often left alone at the wrong moment. My mother recently had to manage her team through a neighboring team members s*icide (worked in the same building but worked for a different agency [civilian contract vs defense force worker]), and one of her employees fully shut down during the day. She knew that this person, who wanted to go home, couldn't be left alone due to emotional reasons, so she called the workers' mother to take them home. This way, that person was monitored. This is the biggest issue. Being alone is deadly for a s*icidal person, as there's nobody who could save you from a potential attempt.

But I think it's funny to report the son and send him to prison but not to find the stepdaughter interesting Because she has committed several crimes, false accusations, deprivation of liberty with perpetrators everywhere and a few more but she is not immediately sent to jail, more interesting Father
God this is so awful, what the hell was going through that man's mind when he sent his own son to jail. Your own son. You have to FIGHT, until someone proves your child a monster you have to FIGHT for them. Without proof that man should have protected his son and shunned his daughter and if it cost him that step family then so be it. This might be the most tragic reddit story ive read
I keep seeing on this comment thread that the stepdaughter didn't face any repercussions. There is one indirect consequence of her actions. She lost her father. Her actions and stupidity ultimately led her to not only throwing away her brother, but inevitably drove her father to suicide. Even if it was the fact that his apologies will never be enough and his son is gone, stepdaughter is the root, the source, of all this badness that drove him over the edge and into the pits of Hell.
Guess again. The lying little harlot ruined OP's life, drove her stepfather to delete himself, and wrecked a family. She is quite proud of herself, enjoying her best life, and having no lack of shits and giggles at everyone's expense. THIS is true female nature - THIS is the part that NEVER changes. Welcome to the wonders of half a century of feminazism.
This is another version of a different story. The first half is almost completely changed, while the second half is almost copied verbatim. The original post had the Sun be accused by his parents, but was taken in by the older sister. They found underwear in his room, which he categorically denied was used by him.
This is a horrible situation. The worst part is that if the father hadn't done anything, he would have been vilified for "not" believing the stepdaughter
I have only made it to 2:15 you betrayed your child and you wouldn't even listen to him you and your wife are despicable horrible parents and I hope your stepdaughter goes to prison for filing a false police report
For those wondering if that’s the extent of the dad’s betrayal, it’s not. The full post chronicles times the dad was forcing his son to confess before finding out the stepsister lied
It adds to the explanation as to why the father eventually took his own life. The extent of how horribly he betrayed his own son is equal to his horror of realization of how terribly he screwed up, the even deeper remorse & shame he felt when Redditors backlashed on him, and how his son’s final thrashing broke him into pieces. The son may end up regretting his actions when he’s his father’s age.
I"m curious why the step-sister did all this? Did she really get so scared that her parents would find out she was having sex that she pointed the finger at her own step-brother? There is something there that was not mentioned, but I guess we can only speculate. In the end though it doesn't matter. She got off way too easy.
I'm guessing parents are the type that say you can't have sex until marriage or until 18. Unless the stepdaughter was under 16 when she made the accusation. Whatever it is, seems like she just didn't want to get in trouble of having sex so she gets her parents to have their attention elsewhere so she wouldn't get caught.
tbh, the parents were put in a horrible situation - it's an impossible choice to make who to believe. commenters support the son because they have the knowledge it was a false accusation. but how could the parents know at the time, really? if they didn't believe the daughter and she was really being hurt, then they'd also be monsters for letting the abuser get away with it and making her provide proof would re-traumatize her. damned if you do, damned if you don't. i have no idea how would i handle one of my children accusing the other of sa. the only real monster was the stepsister who ruined her brother's life and destroyed every single relationship he had. how tf did it even make sense to accuse him? how did that accusation relate to her being intimate with her boyfriend? it wouldn't change anything if she was caught with her bf anyways...
I get your point, and I think we need a few more details, ie. did they ask stepdaughter any question like how long this has been going on or when the last 'attack' happened. Were there any witnesses. Things that they could use to verify the truth. If they did this and she gave plausible answers then their actions can be understood but if they did not then they have no one to blame but themselves.
