I have this Kerig coffee maker in red. It was my mothers. She had bought it when it first was available to purchase. I have it now and use it almost everyday. It still works great! I used vinegar and water to clean it. And the best thing about it is that it reminds me of my Mom.

Thank you very much for your very helpful video. My sister and her husband gave me their K10. Unfortunately there were no instructions. I was doing things wrong and the unit would stop half way through. You pointed out that I had to open the coffee pod holder in order for the water to begin entering the chamber. Works fine now! Thanks again.
It's always a good idea to push the K-Cup in until the bottom needle pierces the cup and it sits firmly in the machine. Then close the machine. This will prevent your pods from exploding during the brewing process. We still have one of these (K10/B31) at work and it still functions perfectly! Keurig really made these particular models to last!

You reject reusable cartridges as defeating the purpose but later you rightly complain about the environmental impact of all those single-use cartridges AND the high price of the K-cup coffee. Reusable cartridges are way more eco-friendly and let you use your own coffee bought at a more reasonable price. You're already cleaning your coffee cup, just do the cartridges at the same time.

Costco has a french roast I cup thats recyclable and compatible with keurigs . 100 cups for close to $30 ive been liking it. I also use a reusable filter when i want to use my own ground coffee. I agree I cups should be recyclable thats alot of waste a year.

I had given my K10 to my Granddaughter because I couldn't understand the instructions! 😜 Well, she wanted me to keep it because she felt it would be a boon to my coffee making! So, she came over and showed me how to work it. (She's 29; I'm 81-!/2, and my vision is poor. 🤓) I was thrilled but got confused when I tried to make coffee today! So, I found your video and you made it so simple for me to follow! I will think of you with every cup of coffee I brew from now on! 😘💕

I still have this machine. I've been a little tired of my V60 routine so I'm happy to get back to the convenience. I stick to buying beans and using the reusable my k cup. I'm the only coffee drinker at home so it's really convenient for my house.

Nice review I don't think buying the my k cup to put in your own coffee defeats the purpose of owning a keurig. The whole purpose of a keurig is the convince of one cup coffee and the filter doesn't take from that.

I agree! I use a reusable kcup, and I like the fact that the Keurig only brews one cup at a time because I don't need a whole pot of coffee for just myself but now I can use whatever coffee I like in the reusable kcup :)
I have this Keurig in the "Platinum" color. My husband and I like coffee, but it would go to waste in a traditional carafe machine. Therefore, we bought the Keurig for its single-cup use. I would never go back to a regular coffee maker. Keurig is worth the money!

I actually got the same coffeemaker in silver at a yard sale for five bucks and it was like new and hardly used. The only bummer was it that it didn't have the instruction manual but it did have the other assembly parts like the K cup holder and K Cup pod since I use coffee grounds. Luckily your instruction video helped. Thank you so much for this instruction video. I am really looking forward to using the Keurig coffeemaker for my morning coffee.

I'm going to college soon so I love my Mini Keurig! The reusable filter is a bit of a pain, but I think it's much more economical and Eco-friendly than the K cups!

Thanks for the review! Got one last night @ an auction. Wasn't crystal gale clear where the water should go. I love that you can use your own coffee in the reusable brew basket so all the coffee we have in the freezer doesn't go to waste plus with what you said about the non-recyclableness and the $27.00 a pound for coffee doesn't work @ my house.

I am thinking about purchasing a mini Keurig for work. You see, I'm in a coffee club at work, and it's beginning to be little too much. I'm paying for people that aren't in the club. I figure, it would be cheaper, and I don't have to deal with free loaders anymore. I have the large Keurig at home for my family, and I am completely in love with it, but I wasn't sure about the mini one until I ran across your video. Your video have answered all of my questions, and I have added it to my Xmas list for Santa. Thanks for sharing.

The only thing I don’t like the coffee is not as hot that I like especially if you add creamer I just nuke for 50 seconds
so how do you use it and clean it??

my wife has had one of these for years and they work great. but just today it started leaking the water out of the compartment where the k-cup goes, like in the crease where it closes. she just used it the day before and it worked fine. it's like it doesn't make it through the cup and pours out of the top of the compartment right where it comes together. I even did it without a k-cup and it did the same thing. if there's any way you can help I'd really appreciate it. these machines are expensive and she's freaking out wanting a new one and I just can't right now.
Thanks for the demo. We have this at work, and I received some EB Tea k-cups to try it out. I don't like that these things aren't recyclable. I think I might just stick to using tea bags in the future.

my pump is not working for the same model :( nothing comes out .. cleaned everything within my reach.. but now thinking of trying to descale with some proper descaling solution.
I know you made this video 9 years ago but i inherited this exact keurig from my mom when she passed away. I can't bring myself to get rid of it. Do I need to change a water filter or anything with this model??

+rapinbatches Hi, first I would call Keurig customer support and see if they can help you. The k-cup holder could be cracked - you could try replacing it. The hose could be clogged and you could try to unclog it. ifixit.com has some instructions. Hope that helps. Please subscribe if you haven't already :)

Bought one for my dads birthday about a year ago apparently I made to much coffee at once for a bunch of people (cup after cup) and I think I clogged the tube in it.
But now he uses the Nescafé Dolce Gusto single serve coffee maker (which you should totally do a review on) and a 12 cup one too,

Use the reusable k-cups and fill them yourself, no plastic k-cups in the trash and a much cheaper cup of coffee or tea.

I asked for a keurig for Christmas simply for the fact that I couldn't count the amount of times I'd missed my bus waiting for my coffee to brew. I use the refillable Kcups cause I wanted the keurig for speed.

How do you clean/sanitize the coffee maker has sat for months at a time without being used
You use white vinegar and water.
I purchased a yellow K10 Mini Plus recently as my first coffee maker. I wish to stop drinking energy drinks, (Dental/health problems from the sugar) and coffee seems to be the way to get caffeine without the sugar. As I live in an apartment, the small size and convenience fits well into my schedule. My wife is happy she can now have hot tea individually, as well as our pitcher of iced. Keeping so many different coffee cans and boxes of tea is difficult in our kitchen, kcups are great for variety in small spaces! We hope to move to reusable filters when we get a home in a few months. A regular coffee maker just isn't as capable as a Keurig. I too, hope they make biodegradable cups soon. You can dispose of the grounds in your compost though right?

How long is the cord supposed to be? Mine is only 16.5" including prongs.

only thing I didn't like is that you contradict yourself at the start you compare cost per cup and say it will say you money. At the end you go by pound and say it is more expensive?
she is not "selling" the machine; she is reviewing it. I thought she made a lot of good points for consideration.
She doesn't really contradict herself: the first comparison applies to those who purchase from a coffee shop; the second applies to those who brew at home.

I would like to get one of these machines and then buy a 84 count box of Maxwell House K-cups at Sam's Club, where the coffee works out to about 41 cents a cup.
I just spoke to Keurig and this model has been recalled. If you call them, they will send you a kit with the pieces to fix the problem. They will require the serial number on the bottom of the unit.

I wish I could get that much coffee back. The reservoir does not fully empty and it's constantly leaking. I'm really disappointed in this. I've returned it 3 times because of the leaking issue.
I never purchase K-cups, instead using the My K-cup adapter and grinding organic whole beans. Actually, we found the K10, apparently discarded by a college student at the end of the academic year. We have another Keurig, much more user friendly than the primitive k10.
I just bought one at Tuesday Morning, and the cord is too short to use. I would have to have my Keurig right at the plug in to use it, which is just 6 inches away, so will be taking it back tomorrow.
You can't just buy an extension cord? Also the cord is so short because you put it right next to the outlet.
Just not my style. They should be able to supply a 18" cord for a $100 coffee pot!

+Mary Ann Hughes Hi, Mary Ann, I noticed how short the cord was until I pulled it out to about 32" which is long enough. I discovered that I needed to pull down to get it to come out. I tried to find a button to release it but there's none. I hope that helps.
my brew light is flashing red and some coffee grains come out but no coffee......

I was given a K10 Keurig. The coffee was not Hot enough. Keurig Responded Quickly and suggested Runinng 1 Cycle with water Then Brew Coffee in Warmed Coffee Cup. They said the Machine Brews @*192F.

I was given a tip to use room temperature water, it seems to have helped. of course it's filtered water. I have owned a black one since Christmas time. I love it!!!
