In a continent that has been ravaged by western norms and ways of life, as a Kenyan, am proud that the Maasai are among the few communites who have managed to stay true to their culture. This fact makes them stand out most , especially from an international perspective. Please more episodes from Richard. We haven't yet seen a manyatta house let alone talk about the rites of passage. So much to explore and teach people. Good job Trudy.
I really enjoyed this content.
In Zimbabwe there's a changani tribe in chiredzi low veld of zimbawe who also keep their culture very interesting
When Harald Balder visited Kenya he spent time with the Masai and he ate meat with them ND even tasted everything. It was interesting too
Is that our MAASAI QUEEN? You’re a natural. You fit anywhere 👍🏿
Yes! Awww thank you🥰
@@MissTrudyy 'Maasai Queen' you are assimilated for real😊
The fact that their English is flawless should just remind the world that just because masaai's maintain culture, they also embrace education and civilization without tampering with culture. I love you my country people 🥰💖🥰💖
If we diligently study the factually proven history of the world, we will discover that "civilization" began in Africa. The first university of the world was instituted in Africa before the colonizers came and destroyed and stole everything that was created by Africans. And so we have been so brainwashed into their whitewashing and lies, that we forget or it was not passed down onto the generations after they murdered and left us destroyed in Spirit and soul; but the Truth always get exposed for enough of our ancestors kept and passed on the Truth, and the Creator Most High has given us opportunities today to discover the Truth that will truly set us free. We were inventors from the beginning. Our gene series proven in the global gene series mapping is 9 while theirs is only 6 which was tested and proven, then hidden from us and now finally exposed.
So know who we are and whose we are. Time to reeducate ourselves from the miseducation and mental slavery for the battle is for our minds. It is a Spiritual/mental warfare. Time to wake up Africa.
ABSOLUTELY and i love it🙌🏿🎆
as Ethiopia what a dumb mantily colonized mindset to have. think if you speak English is equal civilization. every country on earth have their own civilization. civilization is not just western.
ENGLISH IS JUST A LANGUAGES LIKE ANY OTHER LANGUAGES IN AFRICA OR ELSEWHERE
@@tshidimonatsi8754 English does not equal to civilization!!....
@@seahorsebombolulu3534 yes it's not, just like everything else on the planet, nothing is equal. Pauline also did not use the word "equal" she used the word "embrace" which have total completely different meanings. Vocabulary is ALWAYS EXTREMLY IMPORTANT, for better understanding of anything.
Have a lovely day. Peace and love
I lived in maasai Mara for some years. And let me tell you... These people are generous and loving. This is the place I got real good friends.
Im amazed at how good the Maasai man's English is. It's fascinating to actually see culture/tradition and modern civilisation collide out there in the savannah. Love and respect from the Fiji Islands
Yes a lesson that you can adapt to the modern world when you need to, if Richard the Maasai leaves his village and goes to Mombasa, Nairobi or abroad - but when he is at home, he maintains tradition. My mum was in your island Fiji on a cruise 2 months ago from Seattle to Auckland and Sydney and saw the same juxtaposition in a traditional Fijian tourist village. We are from Guyana in South America originally but I live on the north Atlantic island of Bermuda, where majority of people are originally West African like the Caribbean islands 1000 miles south of here. My mum lives in Toronto, Canada.
Good afternoon from The Bahamas, Miss Trudy.
Thank you very much for your vlog on the culture of the Maasai. It is so good to see content other than that of Westerners, or, from their perspective.
My mother was from Jamaica, and, my oldest brother, and I, spent much of our formative years with her family. I remember in the 1950's staying with our uncle, and aunt-in-law, at our grand-mother's house in the mountains, where every part of the cow, and goat, would be cooked, and eaten: brain, tongue, heart, tripe, liver, kidneys, skin, hooves, and meat. At our Aunt's house in the town at sea level, this was not the case, at all, as, their father had refused to have such cooking in his house, as, he had been reared in an extremely English household.
As Christians, blood was not drunk, at all.
Thank you, and Wode Maya, for showing us the true culture of the countries, and Peoples, of the Continent of Africa. I was so tired of the fifty-nine countries, and, more than three thousand ethnic groups on the second largest continent being lumped together as "Africans", from "Africa".
I used to claim I was Ashante, and Yorúbà, and, a recent DNA Test proved I was correct, as well as, from other Ethnic Peoples in Southern Nigeria, other parts of Ghana, Dahomey, Cameroons, Sierra Leone, and Uganda. I cannot express the feeling of being grounded this knowledge has given me.
Keep up the good work.
Thank you so much for the positive feedback ❤
This is real African story and I love it when you show us the true culture of africa.thanks so much.🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭🇬🇭
Who else is admiring the Masai guy talking in English wow

I just love Maasais. Those people have embraced the so called modernity, while still grounded in their culture. True symbol of our values. Please Maasais, never be tempted to change. Note, there English is perfect. Actually, I might have some Maasais blood.
The Maasai people are a very admirable tribe of people. I’ve had the privilege of meeting them and I love and respect their way of life.
Yes and Masai people always respectful ND they accept all people of this world

U make me miss my father's village God bless you. Ghana we are bless to have you in our country... God bless Maya for choosing u
My tribe has so much in common with Massai we're traditionally cattle keepers(pastoralists) located in the western part of Uganda in the small District called Ntoroko in the area of Butuku and some parts of the Ituri region of DR Congo. The tribe is called Hima. I'm very happy to see the Massai have kept their culture up to date.
Am proud of my culture
The Massai people have alot in common with our ancient Ovawambo people in Namibia. Woow this culture is very unique 🤔❤️
Really, I didn't have any idea😊
My culture
Have heard of your culture
True,am maasai am glad we still maintain our culture.Jah bless!
Thought it's similar to the Himba cultures
of all tribes in kenya i really admire how the "maa"community embraces their culture much love from this side 😍
Me too
Watching a few youtuber visiting the Maasai, I realize that there way of life is not for everyone. They are gorgeous human beings. Love learning about their culture.
The best preservers/ care takers of the environment are the Massai tribal people. Reports coming out of Kenya ,of the government wanting to displace them from savannah animal safari lands, in preference to sell to Europeans for urban development,is anorher mismanagement decision and greed of African government. Why should they disadvantage their own indigenous people and destroy the environment?
Thank you Ms.Trudy for keeping this beautiful tribe and its rich culture to the fore front.
Miss Trudy you have made me so proud, I am your staunch follower and supporter and you reaching out to my community has blown away my mind, I also like the way you get excited with our mnono, I'm also here to confirm that everything Turere is telling you about our culture is very true. Great piece indeed.

Wow, that cute thing you've put on your head and the way the Maasai Moran's are wearing is breath taking!👍
Am loving the Masai culture, and I'm from Rwanda 🇷🇼 born in Uganda 🇺🇬 we are very close to Masai when it comes culture style 😎
Trudy you blend right in with the tribe. The colour suits you perfectly its a good look....I really do love the african way of life and am always fascinated by it ....so different from our culture this side of the world ...am blown away everytime but in a good way...Thanks for highlighting the cultre / way of living of this tribe...am loving the vibes from across the miles....I salute you miss Trudy.
Young lady I've been watching your vlog for a while. I really love the way you are representing Africans from the whole Continent and introducing the many cultures. Thank you and keep up the good work. Peace and love!
The maasai culture has remained the best culture in kenya
Miss Trudy, you are doing very well on showing your culture to the world and you show lots of respect for their traditions. The gentleman explained you very well. Well done
These guys are just like us, the Dinka from South Sudan. Everything, from food to cattle keeping.
Maasai and Dinka are all Nilotes,.. hence some of their culture is same

Am so proud of having maasai as one of Kenyan Tribes 💪
Great vid. Those Maasai guys have a great sense of humour.
Look at Miss Trudy, all dressed up and looking cute as a Maasai woman.
Fun fact for Miss Trudy as she is half Kikuyu. The Kikuyu have quite a lot of Maasai blood due to their historical interactions. Miss Trudy might have Maasai ancestry.
True
Uuuuuuuh! Maybe! 😄
@@futsoka "due to historical interactions". you missed that part
@@futsoka that is correct. very correct actually.
what the commenter said above is that, 'due to historical interactions' there has been a lot of exchange of that.
Which is quite true.
But we cannot say "most" because i see you interpret that as meaning the majority. And that is just not the case.
All said, I agree with the above comment
Wow! We need to see more of this + cover a lot more of Kenyan culture. Love it!
Definitely will cover more!
I take a moment to appreciate how Trudi tried everything they were eating ? I mean she drank emnono 😂! I guarantee no other food reviewer would have gone through with it 😋!! RESPECT for trying and respecting their culture 🙌🏽🙌🏽🙌🏽

Top global steak houses serve almost raw meat ( slightly cooked).
That order type is called medium rare.
How is this different ,Trudy?
I believe she is speaking from the Kenyan perspective where other communities hardly eat raw meat. The normal Kenyan Nyama choma or steak as you call it is well done
Love this. But please have the camera guy focus his camera so we can have a clearer close up next time. I would have loved to see your nice hair ornament and all the different cuts of meats close up. Thanks. This is such an exclusive video that we need to enjoy every nuance.
Am a Masai woman and so proud of my people
Who else is watching while reading comments, Trudy you inspire me, good work weldone

That meat i guess has the original taste since its fresh and without any spices. Kudos Trudy you ever ready for any challenge.
As a nutritionist I can 100% tell you it is safe AND much better than the meat we used to seeing in our society! Their guts have been built to digest the raw foods, which may be harmful for someone like me, due to absent biological enzymes.
East Africa, we proud of u baby gal ..uganda ❤️ u
Thanks dear❤️
The more i learn about Masai culture, the more they are similar to Sesotho culture in South Africa and Lesotho. Even in Sesotho, women don't eat meat together with men, during cultural ceremonies but we still eat other meals as family. Also, there are parts of the meat which women are not allowed to eat and only men can eat and vice versa. We separate in the name of respecting culture.
I love this guy 🙌🏿🙌🏿 he's so proud of his Masai culture, so cool maan 😍😄🙌🏿🙌🏿
Great video Trudy, i love it and enjoyed it. Learnt a lot as well and picked up similarities with our Sesotho culture here in S.A. and Lesotho. Keep up the great work Trudy gul 🎆🎆🎆🎆🙌🏿🙌🏿🙌🏿
I remember growing up we used to be afraid of Masai people due to stories that our parents told us that Masai people would eat white people who visited the lands but now I see I think those stories were just fiction, looks like lovely people🙏🏾👌🏾great job.
That is wild 😱😱
I never knew such things happen! To be honest I always imagined Kenyans as Masai people, I was shocked to find out in my teens, that there are other people and races in Kenya!
I have a strong feeling the Maasai occupied much of Kenya and Eastern Africa before great migration and colonisation. That’s just my theory!
Eat people ?? 😂😂😂 Never heard of people eating others in our history as a Maasai, and not anyone ever heard of that. Maybe killings because a lot of those used to be in the past.
We first hear of people eating others in Congo forest in primary school social studies

We put herbs with the blood and seasoning and wash the intestines and stuff them with blood mixture and bread or rice making sausages
Using the intestine washed out then stuffed with the blood mixture is made into Blood Pudding a sausage like delicatessen in many countries worldwide
So exciting to see! You've revived very fond memories of my grandpa making this when I was 8-9 years old and giving to us. And put a name to it - I always remembered eating something crunchy from the blood mixture but didn't even know its name.
