  • In this clip Rigdzin Shikpo gives a description of Buddhism from the Dzogchen or Maha Ati view point. From that perspective, although we feel isolated we are in fact all connected like islands in an ocean. If we meditate our preconceived notions of reality can breakdown and our ideas of what we call 'self' can be undermined. What can appear is an uncontrived state of awareness free from ego clinging and attachment.

    Religion is religion. truth is truth. The 2 are completely different to each other. Buddhism is a search for the truth. The path & the journey.

    I'd like to say that the commenter on "religion is religion and truth is truth", stating the 2 are completely "different" to each other is not really sensing the basis of the teachings. Especially funny is the part how they say Buddhism is a search. I understand that there is no need to search because truth is already inherent in the basic ground, that underlying openness that apparent separations and classifications sort of rise out of... Recognition is liberation :)
