I was 1st year BA student when the civil war started in East Pakistan for the breakup of Pakistan and the creation of a separate country known as Bangladesh. The birth of Bangladesh is solely due to the Indo Pak war of 1971 in which Pakistan was totally defeated on both fronts and its eastern province seperated. The seceeded East Bengal became another country known as Bangladesh. Without the help and support of my country there is NO Bangladesh at all.

You don't understand the nature of military coup , even army chief and higher generals can't do anything, thus is tactical operation by brave army who are ready to do and die! It's happened in many countries

The war started on 26th of march and the independent was achieved on 16th of December. But india joined the war on 3rd December only for two weeks. If indian didn't join then it would have taken a bit longer but independent would have been achieved.
Ziaur Rahman was a competent army chief but Bangabandhu chose an incompetent general like Shafiullah so Bangabandhu had this tragic outcome.
Bangabandhu was a communist and believed in family based politics whereas ziaur rahman was a democratic leader.Know the difference
