The song came on 14 February 1997.I knew Sifiso through Theory(artist).I did not pay much attention to him till this song came out.This was a first song I heard and seen a lot of people prefer to U.S.artists.I was blown away.This was the song for that Valentines day.If you don't believe ask Melanie Son,she hosted Studio Mix with the late Bob Mabena.Sifiso and his namesake Ncwane and Ntokozo Masinga were based in Hillbrow and Berea at that time and they went to have massive hits their own.The down fall of this rising star was the court issue that instructed him not to professional record for five to years.Seemingly Sifiso had signed two contracts to different labels almost simuteanously.The ban destroyed a good promising career.
Wow thank you for that insightful piece of information. I had no idea. I always thought he was just a one hit wonder, even though it was hard to fathom HOW someone so talented would be such, if he was signed to a good record label. That court ruling really did end his career. I guess it dampened his spirit as well cause I'm sure he could've gone on to release more timeless classics... Or maybe they did him a favor, this song might not hit as hard even to date if he released 50 others after it.....

Ok , I get emotional when I listen thos song. So I was only 12 years old years doing standard 5 , which what was called back than. Use to take me 2 hours to walk to school and Fiso just finished Matrick at Shakambula high school which was not far from my primary school. As a teenager we use to have music book so we can write all the words of the songs that wr like, and this song I use to know the words at the back of my hand.😅😢.
