I’m autistic and have been watching your channel for a while, an autism diagnosis doesn’t change who they are it is just a label for behaviors and thought processes that are unconventional.
Exactly I’m autistic and have been since I was 7 years old and I’m 31 autism diagnosis doesn’t matter except for school and insurance purposes it doesn’t affect the ability of the person or change any of that so stop quote unquote stressing and grieving over a disability diagnosis that literally makes no difference whatsoever
I have autism as well and I don’t let it define me. When I was in school, my teacher told my parents that I won’t be able to get a high school diploma. But guess what, I got my high school diploma and I proved those people wrong. It goes to show that you can do anything you put your mind to whether you have a disability or not, as long as you put in the work. I enjoy watching your videos because I totally relate to how Beckham lives his best life.
0:03 i love her reaction, precious angel. "it's okay" she knows her brother doesnt mean to. 💗💗 Awe and when she said "two makes the dream work" they're great together.
I love that your team is so on it for Beckham’s needs. I probably have autism, but haven’t had access to testing because back in the 70s and eighties they had different labels unless it was very high support needs such as nonverbal. They called it lazy, clutzy, doesn’t have social skills, quirky, acts weird, smart, but doesn’t try, freaks out, needs to stop being picky, too sensitive to every little thing, etc. Beckham is so social and easy going in new situations like when you took him to the museum in his wheelchair.
I’m not sure if Beckham’s preschool has spoken to you about this or not, but something called an AAC device which is essentially an iPad with an app on it that would allow Beckham to push a button and then the device would say whatever the button was for is something that may work well for Beckham. Is he able to understand pictures and their meaning? I’m guessing with him being nonverbal it would be hard to tell, but if he doesn’t, a device could be a really good option for him when it comes to expressing his wants, needs, feelings, and opinions. It’s just a thought. ❤❤❤❤❤
That is so encouraging yeah I was looking forward to watching this am 33 on Monday I have high functioning autism it is really hard to walk through but God really helps me walk through it I get a lot support can be hard disability. I know how you. I have been watching for years
I have Autism, I have been Diagnosed as a toddler, I have repetitive behavior, Such as Hand flapping, When I was a toddler, I got upset and started Self injurious behaviors Such as: Hitting my head Hard, Punching myself in the face to make my nose bleed, Punching my legs to break them, Biting myself and Pulling my hair out, As an teenager, I still do those things and I don’t have any assistance with me
Rachel i could listen to Blakely all day she is very well spoken and so funny the stuff she comes out with ❤Beckham looks so adorable with his buzz cut and that emerald green outfit 😊
I’ve seen alot of kids interact with their siblings wether special needs or not a lot of kids will be not as nice (I understand they’re little and don’t get what’s going on) however - I have never in my life seen a sibling like Blakely she is hands down the sweetest little girl she understands her brother so much she’s a little doll! Her personality is incredible, the way she is with her brother is like no other - you’ve done an amazing job with her ♥️🫶🏻
I’m autistic and have been since I was 7 years old and I’m 31 autism diagnosis doesn’t matter except for school and insurance purposes it doesn’t affect the ability of the person or change any of that so stop quote unquote stressing and grieving over a disability diagnosis that literally makes no difference whatsoever
Sweet Bee. You are perfection and I don’t care about autism. Who gives a EFF WORD. You are amazing and you make make me so happy and you amaze the entire world sweet boy and you sweet sister too❤
I think it's great that your baby girl wanted a doll of color! It's so important to raise kids to appreciate all races of people, and you two are clearly raising a little gurl that does.
No hate intended, this is coming from a place of care and compassion. I recently read ‘the glucose goddess’ which might be an interesting read for you Rachel as a health coach. Please be careful sharing what you eat without checking its impact on your blood sugar/glucose. Having anything sweet for breakfast is not ‘healthy’. And adding 0% yogurt means you don’t even have the fat to regulate the sugar from the berries, honey and added sugar. Blood sugar spikes have such a detrimental impact on everyone. Not just diabetics. Sending you much love from the UK.❤
I’m a special needs monitor to an autistic child and I also have a cousin who’s got autism as well. This past Mother’s Day weekend I was so sick and I was working and then decided to call my drs office they tested me for flu a and b also covid negative for covid but apparently I test positive for flu b so I worked the whole time not knowing I was sick
He’s showing some signs for autism in ur vids of him so I defo think he’s autistic because he’s rocking a lot and clapping but doesn’t change he’s cuteness ❤❤
Possibly. Non verbal, severe food aversions, no eye contact and hardly any form of communication or even reaction when spoken to, repetitive behaviors and so on. On the other hand he doesn't seem to suffer from sensory overload. And a couple of examinations aren't even possible in his case, like checking for imaginative play.
When Beckham reaches out, do you help him control his movements by holding his hand sometimes ? I often ask for help that way, when I know I won't be able to do it by myself. It's nice to feel you are involveret, even if you can't do it all yourself
If you have room in your calorie allotment, I would suggest adding nuts, seeds or nut butter to your yogurt/berries mix and it would be complete breakfast with carbs, protein, dairy and fats!
Hi I am a really big fan of yours I know autism kids I might have autism they are really lovely I watch you guys everyday and can I please get a heart I hope you a merry Xmas❤ bye love you all
Who doesnt have either autism or ADHD it seems we are quick to label kids these days. Everyone has some sort of xquirkiness and it just adds some spice and colour ro this world. Years ago they would jave just said personality type.
People really lack the understanding of something physical or a physical aspect to something verses neurological! To make eye contact requires muscles.... Literally every muscle is affected by CP. So, yes he may have trouble with eye contact or it may vary when his muscles are tight or loose or he when he is more alert versed sleepy making his eyes harder to control. Sadly all, many, most comments made about such things aren't from a good place whether or not by a professional or anyone in RL or online. If you aren't concerned or it isnt causing Beckham any issues, regardless if it's legitimately makes sense or not, don't worry about anyone else.
If he is autistic do not put him in aba therapy. He is just fine and already gets help with the different therapies. A diagnosis will just open up more services for him. In some states it is required that insurance covers all therapies vs insurance denying or limiting the number of sessions for non autistic diagnosis
I have autism also I didn’t start talking til I was 3 I also have intellectual disability plus sensory processing disorder I’m across from being verbal and non verbal I don’t talk at all I was late getting diagnosed I didn’t get tested til 2020 I’m 35 now and I struggle everyday
Autism is not a behavioral issue at all. I am a low income autistic woman without an intellectual disability who has been diagnosed with four other disabilities who knows autism is social issues, sensory processing issues (upper and hypo various sensory issues that differ from one autistic person to the next autistic person) and can also cause coordination issues as well.
Blakely IS always trying to keep her brother under control and he doesn't, understandably, like that. Maybe you should keep your daughter out of the reach of Beckham. He is smart enough to understand that his sister is trying to belittle him.
She’s not trying to belittle him. Beckham in addition to being autistic, is also developmentally delayed. He has trouble understanding cause and effect, as well as being gentle which is why he pulls hair. He doesn’t mean to hurt people, he just doesn’t know what certain words mean, that’s all. They don’t have to be separated, you can’t separate two toddlers that live under the same roof.
I’m autistic and have been watching your channel for a while, an autism diagnosis doesn’t change who they are it is just a label for behaviors and thought processes that are unconventional.
Couldn’t agree more (:

No it just gives her more content to exploit her children for cash.

Like a Pec book
It’s hard if they can’t point- the first time my daughter was evaluated for one she wasn’t pointing. PEC cards would be a better start IMO.
Many have suggested this & more.
These kids are priceless🥰the way they interact together as they get older is so cute!
Thanks Megan! You’re so kind 🫶🏻

Blakely is so sweet with Beckham. My friend's son has autism. He says a few words. Shake-it looks like a cute place.
Blakely is such a sweet, loving and very attentive sister to Beckham. She is amazing and so wonderful with him. ❤

The steroids sometimes create ravenous hunger . My DIL's mother had to be on them for awhile and ate everything !
how did Blakely get so big all of a sudden🥰

Lack of eye contact is 1 of the top characteristics of autism. I have 3 grandchildren with it.

@ you and hunter are amazing parents
It’s encanto😊
Bolth?? Pretty sure it's both with no l.
i have a diagnosis of autism
I have autism 😊
Short answer: no, he doesn't have autism.
Autism is a behavioral issue and social behavior. Not being able to mix or interract with other children.
Autism can also cause coordination issues. Autism is not a behavioral issue that needs to be treated with ABA therapy at all.
@@kathyerb3134 autism is so much more than that. You aren’t going to “cure” autism by working on their behavior/social interactions.
She looks just like daddy! Soooo precious! 😊❤🙏🏼
She really does! 💗
❤. ❤
I knew Mr.B didn't have autism. He is very a smart boy.
😮😊
I m vacsinated for covid 19
Blakely is so smart, and Beckham is so cute ❤ my heart just melted when blakely said “ it’s ok ” when beckham pulled her hair ☃️⛄️☃️
So is he autistic?
Blakely IS always trying to keep her brother under control and he doesn't, understandably, like that. Maybe you should keep your daughter out of the reach of Beckham. He is smart enough to understand that his sister is trying to belittle him.

Autism is on a spectrum and can be very rewarding for the person who has it. It’s others who are needlessly worried about in most cases.🥰
Asthma is not considered immunocomprimized.
Does beckham have autism
The video chats all about it 💗
no, at the end of the video she finally gets to talking about it. And it's long-winded so you stay engaged.
Bye... Lost me at your covid testing.
