I’m here for the thrifting but I don’t think it’s fair that big influencers have turned it into a “trend” when it was originally made for lower income families. Thrifting used to be a thing that was once made fun of just like the chunky dad shoes everyone’s wearing now. Items in the thrift store are starting to cost just as much “new items” I think we really just have to consider lower income families. Anyway, great video!!!
@@Kammit yeah my comment mentioned nothing about clothes running out more so about the affordability of such. Just like anything else folks blow up and make a trend it become extremely expensive.
I’m not the most fashion girly type because I find it difficult to style clothes, but I’m breaking out of my comfort zone and just bought red ribbon for my hair for new years because you inspired me 🥰 baby steps haha
So funny seeing the trends come back around. History always repeats itself. I remember wearing dresses over my jeans in the early 2000s and skinny jeans never left me. I think they’re more classy and fit my body better than the baggy Jean
Back in the early 2000s, I would wear a "wrap dress" over boot cut jeans and high strappy heels or high heeled boots....it looked so chic so im glad to see it coming back!
I live in a city that's not very trendy. I wouldn't expect to see these trends or someone else's predictions. I think jeans shouldn't be considered trendy. Everyone has the right to wear jeans that feel comfortable for their body. I removed my skinny jeans for baggy jeans. My body is not the same when i was in my teens to 23 years old. Good choices tho 👌
Delaney 🫶🏽🫶🏽 thank you for making this video i always wait on my tippy toes for your trend talks! please make a styling vid as well? those are my absolute fave 💐
Not sure if anyone else thinks the same, but I can't help but think of "walk of shame" or superhero uniform with underwear on the outside when I see hot pants. I think they are super stylish, I'm just not mature enough lol
I love all but the shoulder pads. I think alot of these trends have a little staying power but the shoulder pads. I think like the peplum top it is just rarely body flattering.
In summer 2007 I went to south florida to stay with my aunt for the summer. I went to some sort of daily kids camp and i wore a sport, white spagetti strap and red dress with a true blue wash bootcut jeans. One of the counselor aids, stopped me and asked if “that’s what theyre wearing in California?” as i was coming from LA and i just said “i guess, im wearing it so”. She snickered and laughed about it with her peers, in front of me. Truthfully, i wore the jeans because i was modest and shy and felt uncomfortable showing my legs (i was 12 and very skinny lol). And i always think how fucked up it is tp laugh at a child for dressing in a modest way. Today, i think the look can be v chic 😌✨
I can totally relate, but if there’s any silver lining, you can look back now and say, THOSE PEOPLE were the ones with issues. Just sucks that it does stick with us.
She was just jealous she didn't have style and confidence like you at her big age! I used to wear dresses with jeans as a kid to be modest too and I might just try to revive that again. I think it's fabulous💖
I was jeans shopping recently and I decided that I don’t love the jegging-type skinny jean anymore. I think a slim straight jean is more comfortable and looks cleaner. Like a slim straight or even a boyfriend kind of Jean can do what a skinny Jean does but better.
Hii! I would LOVE to so how you style winter fashion in so-cal.. I’m here in Orange County and of all my years being here it’s still hard to figure out this weather and come up with cute looks. So maybe winter styling for warmer regions? ❤
Skinny jeans look cute (not on me but younger women) but jeggings always look cheap to me, the ones that look painted on lol. I think DKNY had nice skinny jeans in the 90s, they weren't that painted on look. I used to wear them when I was skinny and I even wore skinny jeans again in my early 40s but now omg, nope, I won't make anyone look at me in skinny jeans haha.
My mother wore shoulder pads in the 1940's, when they came back in the 1980's her comment was you girls look like Frankenstein's Monester😂, she would have been 100 in 2024, Lord knows what she would have said now!😅
Everything hb wears is so nice and structured and either super 90s or 80e esque. I wish i could afford what she has cus it’s impossible to find a good dupe thats under £100

Thrift stores are not running out of clothes!!! So much still goes to landfill. Any promotion of thrifting is great

I get where you're coming from but the only solution would be for everybody to stop/reduce thrifting and nobody is going to do that
thrifting is an amazing way to save money and help the environment. stop gatekeeping
Yeah I agree with the comments above. Also I feel that making thrifting cool has made it more acceptable to dress quirky and personal.

I was in high school during the 80’s and love seeing trends returning!
What an era 🤩 I love the 80s!!
Me too. So much fun!
I love thrifting jackets and skirts. Really excited to see dresses/long shirts worn with pants. So many different ways to play with that style!
Yes so fun!! I feel like I need to figure out how to make it work for my proportions but I’m excited hehe
I definitely think a slim straight leg jean rather than full on skinny jeans coming back true denim rather than the leggings style denim ❤
Being in my teens and twenties in the 80s was a blast. Crazy hair. Anything goes clothing. Amazing music. The best decade ever!

Hot pants were big in the late 60’s,I was young,21 yrs. Wore thigh high vinyl boots, and long open front pleat skirts, with hot pants showing!
Back in the early 2000s, I would wear a "wrap dress" over boot cut jeans and high strappy heels or high heeled boots....it looked so chic so im glad to see it coming back!
the jewelry with the tats are suchhh a vibe, you and clayton both should realllly hit us with a tattoo tour soon

Hot pants are a classic!
This is one of my favs you’ve done! I’m gonna try to style these in a video hehe
Yayyyy!!! You’re gonna look so fly 😎

Yess related to the 80s, recently made a 2024 trends video and how “mob wife” has been such a buzzword
I’m excited to see what trends are to come
I did hear from another style expert that less rings on our fingers is more trendy, lots of rings tends to look trashy.
Some trends I just can’t follow 😩 I love rings so much they make me happy 🤩

Can you do a video using possible ThredUp or other thrifting to incorporate trends? ❤
adorable❤
Yes to hot pants! Miss weAring mine with tights
Love these

Keep doing your thing mamactia
Where I can find these pictures that you used?

Wooop!
So, I wonder how you got to like 80s stuff - because, clearly you're not from that era. I applaud it.
