Sounds good. I have a 14 fxdf that I recently purchased those slip ons for. I've had the stock baffles gutted over a year now so hopefully I will like the sound of these since I'm used to a louder bike!
Was about to order cobra slipons until I watched this vid! I just ordered the same v&h slipons as you have in this vid, can't wait for them to get here! They sound great, and still won't make my neighbors wish for me to move cuz my bike is too loud.
Hi, Im a new biker and I'm thinking of either buying a 48 (as many would suggest for a beginner bike) or a fat bob (cause i figured i would end up upgrading my bike soon). would you recommend getting the fat bob straight away? I'm just worried the bike is too huge for me to handle as a beginner. thanks. awesome bike!
Thanks for watching. Both bikes are good and my opinion of the words "starter bike" has changed over the last year. I started with a 1200 engine which is nice. I didn't exactly outgrow the cc's but rather changed my riding style and type of roads. I like to ride more highway now and really wanted that 6th gear. The Dyna family is also a little larger and let me stretch out my legs more. I now believe that you can start on any bike as long as you are comfy with the weight and control your throttle accordingly.
jaycarpz I am a new rider and had the same question but I did pull the trigger and buy the fat bob. It is a heavy bike but it's not as intimidating as I thought it'd be. I did take the rider's course which helped me a ton. Get the fat bob! You won't regret it.
They are called guardian bells and very common on motorcycles. they protect you from evil spirits while riding and must be given to you by someone else to work. tons of info by googling.
Hi there. I have a 2017 Fat Bob. Just curious if you had to retune the computer with your slip on mufflers. I have heard yes and no from various owners. Thanks!
According to Vance and Hines, you do not need to retune with 'slip-ons' unless you did not have a heavy breather and you added one. Your computer will auto adjust for the small changes with slip-ons.
Hello Dave, i was planning to get the 48 but considering the fuel tank capacity on the bike i rejected my plans i need a bike for daily commute and long rides during weekends with my wife i am 5.2 feet tall do you think the bike would suit me and is the fat bob really comfortable for long rides.
I had Vance and Hines Super Radius pipes with Stage 1 upgrade. DO NOT GET IT! I had to change my pipes a total of 5 times in 10,000 miles. The weld points on the super radius break way too easily. Go with the Big Radius if you want to switch it all out, 2,000 miles later, I don't have any issues yet.
Hi mate I have just purchased a Fat Bob here in the UK ,hopefully I take delivery in the next week ,could you tell me what make the air cleaner is on your bike as I really would like the same ,cheers .
salisburyplain998 Cingrats on the new bike. I am positive you will love it. My air filter is the screaming eagle version. That is the factory configuration in the US.
Cheers chap ,I,m looking forward to getting my hands on it ,it will be my first ever harley, the UK model has a different air cleaner ,I think its the dam E.U. regulations as usual.
Hello, love your vids! I have the same bike and when hard accelerating and reach around 4k rpm and above I notice major vibration/engine shake to the point where I have to fight to keep my feet on the pegs. Do you experience the same? Thanks
Mine got a 10% increase, I have the dyno sheet. If you don’t tune the mixture for the upgrades it can cause the bike to run lean and hotter which will lower performance and possibly damage the engine. If you tune the mixture though, your performance will slightly increase
@@mvol5973 Thank you. So need to take it to a tuner with a dyno and the correct software to have it tuned then. Hopefully there is a good tuner in Houston.

That sounds great. I have Rush Slip-ons on my Fat Bob. Makes it sound like a Harley.

Glad I could help you out! They were not bad slip-ons at all and I'm sure you will enjoy them.
Nice...thanks from New Zealand 🇳🇿

Just wondering, did you de-cat them and get the V&H Fuelpak tune
What's the deal with the bells? I've never seen or heard of that before. BEAUTIFUL bike!!!

I have one. The 48 is too small for anything more than around town solo. Fat Bob works but you'll need a better seat and backrest for the wife.
Thank you michael
I'm sold. Thanks for the vid!

J S Thanks for watching! I don't have that problem. Maybe you should have Harley check it out.
Hey Dave. What model/brand is the speedometer gage you got? I can't seem to find it anywhere and it looks the best for sure on the bike. Thanks!!
It is the Harley Brand. Sorry for the delay in response...
What kind of seat do you have on the bike?
Stock buddy 😉
Everything I have read says exhaust and air intake lower performance over factory.

@@dry509 any Harley dealer should be able to do the tune
