    I would like to see you do an instant dark tint to all the windows like KITT had the ability in the show. You seem knowledgeable enough in computers and technology to pull it off. The platform already exists, so there is another thing to add to the do to list. Great job and keep going! KNIGHT RIDER FOREVER!

    Awesome Video Sir! I own a KITT car in San Diego and I am always afraid of getting pulled over. Have the cops ever impounded your vehicle? Also how have they reacted to the steering wheel? Any comments like "we will need to impound your vehicle, that steering wheel is not approved....etc".

    Hi Mike. Fantastic replica and video. All the best to you and your KITT replica. I to have been a Knight Rider fan since l watched the first episode here in Australia back in the winter of 1982. I'm now 39 going on 40 and have a small but growing collection of KITT/ KARR models. Is it too late to Build a KITT or KARR replica.

    This is one inspirational video. Might just be persuading me to pursue my own dream of making AI cars a reality. Though I'm only 14, only time will tell.

      Allison Neal Thank you for the nice words. And age is just a number my friend. All it takes to build one of these cars is heart, and the desire to do so. I'm glad you liked the video. Good luck with pursuing that dream. :-)

    Mike I have a question for you it's not knight rider related. What have you done with the old ambulance? Are you going to turn it into an Ecto-1??

    Possibly the best version out there. The remaining thing to do: make it electric.

  • @UnitedRecording

    I'm very much into Knight Rider and KITT is the definition of awesome. I'm interested in building an accurate replica... How much should I expect to spend and where do you get the parts? $25k? I'm not sure. Thanks for your advice and your KITT is beautifully accurate. :)

    • @KN1IGHT
      @KN1IGHT  9 років тому

      UnitedRecording You do need to do some research when buying. Don't discount second hand parts either. There are a wide number of helpful and very bright individuals that have either purchased, replaced, or moved on from the Knight Rider conversion list of parts. Knightfoundation.net is an excellent resource for your needs. There, you'll find all sorts of individuals with helpful info and even dedicated blogs that are for folks buying and selling parts. Unfortunately, many of the more familiar vendors
      have left the hobby. Just do your homework when buying. If you have any questions about a particular part or vender, ask me....I'll see what I can do to help. And I'd expect to drop at least 15 thousand on a decent replica. Again, much of this depends on where you acquire your parts from. Peace man. Good luck to you. :-)

    Really cool video and a real amazing KITT. Great job Mike!
    My company in Shanghai is engaged in creating an electric intelligent car like KITT that you can talk to and work with. It's not a KITT replica but we hope it will be a car that ppl have dreamed of. I send you a pm about what we are doing and maybe we can have a opportunity to talk to^^
    Again, I appreciate what you have done to stick to your dream and make it real:-D

    LEDs for the scanner...KARR Scanner sound is better as is his scanner color...tho KARR should have been a 82/83 Camaro RS Berlinetta...with a t/a wing...
