    My nanny has alzheimer's. When she comes over I just play all your videos on automatic and she sits there smiling, laughing, "talking to herself about what you are talking about, lol," and so interested in everything you say. She said you are such a smart girl. It takes a lot to gain her real interested when it is something in a screen these days. Thank you so much for bringing a smile to her face today.

    Yes to all advices! Agree 100%, Kylie. I add one more thing: do something you really love, even for an hour a day, a week, a month... something that alow you to express yourself deeply. It's amazing how powerful this is in terms of learning to love and be comfortable with who you are. This is a good exercise to know you better and be amazed with things you don't even know you had inside. Stay golden and fully recovered, girl with overly emotional nature :)

    Give Love without
    asking for anything
    in return, not even a
    "thank you". That is
    Unconditional kindness;
    everything else is ego.

I do agree with you. I also have personal issues to my body, but we need to learn how to look at us in a gentle and blessed way! Thanks for this special vídeo! Thanks for being there to all of us and to share your thoughts and feelings (don´t know how to draw hearts in here..) Love, Sil

    What a wise and reflective video, Kylie. Indeed beauty is not a fixed or stable concept and alters according to culture and, indeed, historically - what might be considered beautiful at one moment in time might not be at another - take a painting of a Rubenesque woman and compare, say, a photograph of a 1960s model - polar opposites but both considered beautiful in their own times.

    Beautiful video, Kylie. I’d like to share a thought I learned years ago in a seminar on Excellence. “Never compare the inside of you with the outside of someone else”. People mostly show us only what they want us to see.

    I'm so glad you've brought up this topic. We all go through this. I myself go through this. Even as of late some strangers remark on the way I look affected me more than I thought any strangers opinion would. It hurt. I find sometimes I'm always tearing myself apart from head to toe. Then I think to myself.. why? It shouldn't matter. I love myself and someone's comment shouldn't matter. We all have good and bad days. "Fat" or "skinny" we all deserve love and to love ourselves.

    I thank you for this wisdom, I am a senior, but when 19 had a bad car accident and one side of my face if reconstructed and it isn’t now since being retired that I have been able to accept this after many surgeries. I hope my internal beauty overshadowed by outer issues all my life. I have gained so much insight from this vlog and have to keep also reminding myself inner beauty and communication is what makes a person attractive.

    This applies equally to men as well as women. When a young man or teenage boy feels he is a failure because he isn't Chris Hemsworth or Daniel Craig this can grow to a level of hopelessness and depression and thoughts turn to ending it all. Male teen suicide is an epidemic people can't talk about. It's not just low self esteem, people can work their way out of that mindset it's cultural pressure that destroys people.

    Body image is such an interesting topic and one that we all (men & women) deal with, thanks for creating a video about it Kylie.
    I really like what you said about feeling stronger as a result of exercising. It's so true & you don't even have to workout for hours to get results. Doing yoga, dancing, or running (as you do) everyday adds up and you get those moments when you do something and are shocked for a moment, because you didn't even realise how strong you have become!
    I also like the point you brought up about the idea of what is considered beautiful is different in every culture, I find that topic fascinating.

  • @bertucciamajaskoro
    @bertucciamajaskoro 4 роки тому

    Science shows that there is a shared perception of what is beautiful. It's not so much what magazine defines as beautiful, like being skinny, but more to do with symmetry of your face, a sand hour figure (even if it's overweight), larger eyes, defined jawline...
    A completely different thing is the perception of attractiveness, so someone can be not beautiful but considered attractive, which has more to do with your energy and character, so that is the variable on which we all can work.
    I love your videos. Thank you!

    Great content Kylie ♥️. I would say that there have been times in my life when I have been pursued by guys for my looks and it has been extremely unnerving. I could see that these guys were just functioning in a pretty base sexual way and had no reference point to who I really was. People are all in different degrees of awareness in relation to knowing themselves, being healthy and oxygenated, and aware translates as beauty. However, compatability and timing is another aspect. I do think though that there are some aspects in our lives that are meant to be, once we start to follow our hearts and be absolutely true. ❤️Thank you for your content, we share many perspectives.

  • @KatBaumgarten

    Read this all the way, please.
    This video hits home so hard ❤️ sometimes it takes years to build up self love and love towards your body and a single comment from someone close can set you back so much.
    I have always been a little bit bigger and since I was always too lazy to change my body, I learned to love it. But recently my father started saying dreadful things to me about my body and has made me question who I am. At 22, I thought I was safe from letting myself feel like this, but I guess no one ever is.
    I still love my body, even though sometimes pants don't fit or bikinis are a bit too tight because ir was my body who stuck with me through all of the horrible times and kept me alive through the worst parts of my life and I can never thank it enough.
    Love your body. No one else in this world is trying so hard to keep you alive and healthy. ❤️
    Thank you for being so wonderful and relevant, Kylie. ❤️ Love you

    • @KylieFlavell
      @KylieFlavell  7 років тому

      Katrin Baumgarten you make me cry. "No one else is trying so hard to keep you healthy and alive" - this is beautiful and that's exactly how I feel. I don't think I have ever put on a bikini and thought - great, that fits perfectly. In fact, I even started sewing my own bikinis just to find something I could feel confident in. I'm so sorry you had to experience those words said to you. No one deserves that. But it sounds like you are incredibly strong and determined. Thank you for sharing this with me. Sending you so much love. ❤️❤️❤️

    one helpful thing to do for yourself if you are struggling with self image is to buy yourself a beautiful note book and in it write letters to yourself as from the perspective of a best friend or sister/brother. Also watch other people's behavior towards you, there are loads of insecure people who will put you down to make themselves feel good or superior. Don't tolerate it. Even if its a relative, confront it or distance yourself from it. You are worth so much more than that. 💟💗

    At 1:20 you say that you have doubts about your body. It’s good in my opinion (My judgement is based on my memory from your Thailand trip where you had those black comfy pants😛). In your Instagram picture, you say that you want to train and not skip training. Just don’t become too muscular, you know those female bodybuilders. It wouldn’t fit you at least in my taste. 😃😃😃
    You can’t love someone even if they would have the best possibly body and looks, at the end of the day body & looks doesn’t matter if you can’t love what is inside. At least I think like you in this issue.
    Thanks for sharing your wisdom to the world! I hope many people will benefit from it! Your advices are important for many young people who didn’t have same life experiences as you have had about these things.
    One thing that I have seen working in maintaining healthy body is good digestion. When I had constipation, I gained weight but when my digestion worked well I could eat much without gaining weight.

    Please read it till the end, whosoever is spending the time onto this.
    I have never been someone to judge others on the basis of what they look like. At this time of my life, I'm experiencing something that is frustrating me to the very core since my mother isn't accepting of my boyfriend as she feels that he isn't particularly a good looking person since he is a little shorter than I am and she has a very different idea of "beautiful". I have been with him for over a year now and the pressure to not be with him any longer based on something I don't even believe in, is frustrating. But today, I got all the more strength than I already had, to be with him, is amazing. Thank you for that Kylie.
    I have had many relationships in the past and neither one of them, be it with my boyfriend or a friend, lasted longer than six months. But now, I've had a steady relationship for over a year and a best friend for over four years, only because, I told myself that if I love that person truly, no reason is good enough to leave high and dry. My boyfriend and I have worked our ways through a lot of ups and downs already but what kept us going was the assurance that none of us was willing to jeopardize the relationship unless it was something we just couldn't work out.
    I feel that each one of us should start, as Kylie said, by befriending ourselves because when you admire yourself, you start finding others around you adorable too. even if there are people who you don't have a liking for, it prevents you from hating them altogether. I hope a lot of people would have gained perspective from this particular video about themselves and those around them. I'm glad people like +Kylie Flavell exist in this world and things like these make me feel that a lot of us in this world are very very similar to each other. This is just a whole other level of beauty.

    Apart from the fact that the concept of beauty changes through the centuries, it's undeniable that since we are western people our concept of beauty is based upon the greek roman concept of physical beauty and somehow unconsciously we tend to impose that even to cultures that are quite different from ours.

    God looks at the heart not the body. A person with a good heart is a beautiful person. You have a good heart! God bless:

    You moved from Japan to Italy, being australian.
    Pratically you shifted from a thing to its opposite
    We know that opposites attract. In fact there o very big and passionate niche of italians who deeply love japanese culture.
    You can find prove of it even here on UA-cam.
    It would be interesting if in one of your future videos you'll make a comparison between the two cultures, from your point of view and from your personal experience.
    Maybe you could also contact the funny japanese artist and UA-camr living in Italy Erikottero.

    the only country (or maybe planet) that will see me as beautiful is "non-existing" lolll but nevertheless i don't mind not being beautiful.....i'll just let other people have the spotlight and i'll just be the bystander and watch their beauty

      Just because Kylie is so very obviously beautiful inside & out doesn't mean she doesn't have insecurities too. Sorry but I don't see anything insincere here...
