- Recorded in 1960 and unreleased until inclusion as a bonus track on the 1991 CD re-issue of the album, "I Remember Buddy Holly". One of Bobby's versions of the Buddy Holly song. Written by Bob Montgomery & Buddy Holly.
Bobby Vee is one of my favorite singers and I like every song I have heard by him.

Roger: It was issued on a 1991 expanded CD version of his 'I Remember Buddy Holly' album which contains other unissueds as well. There is a copy on ebay now.
This was from one of Bobby's first sessions with Liberty (that dates it late '60/early '61)....great!
@ausfan100 thanks to you I was able to find the cd on e-bay and purchase it. Once again, thank you very much for your help.
This one was actually recorded at the same session as 'Rubber Ball' on August 12, 1960. Shame it stayed in the can so long before being issued.
The recording date listed in the CD booklet for this song is WRONG!..... It claims April 19, 1961. However, the session contract which I have proves otherwise. It was one of 4 songs recorded at the "Rubber Ball" session the previous year - August 12, 1960.

Can someone please tell me if there is a cd available with this song on it? I checked "I remember Buddy Holly" but wishing is NOT listed on it. I really love this version of the song and I am trying to find it on a cd. Thank you for your help.

@ausfan100 You seem to know quite a lot about Bobby Vee, I wanted to ask you about a tribute to Buddy Holly on a PBS station that Bobby sang on a few years agol He sang a combination of "Learning the Game", and I think the other title was Blue Days Dark Nights. Bobby's Learning The Game was the best cover of that song that I have ever heard. Do you know whether or not he recorded that song? I hope you're having a great weekend, all the best-. Roger
