I imagine a child living in a world where war never ends and he witnessed his family got shelled and walked to battlefield aimlessly because of mental breakdown. meanwhile a soldier saved him from dying and he was convinced to join after he grows up and become able. after years and years of training he is now participating to a war. slowly he makes his rank up and finally had a chance to lead a squad. slowly he witness death and tragedy and it affected his sanity. he is turning insane with anger in his heart, he heard that there was an enemy camp somewhere in the battlefield. he was not ordered to attack it until further notice but he did. he lead his squad there and began assaulting. they were outnumbered and got into the point he saw all of his men slaughtered. he went to last stand and killed a lot of enemies. then he had delusions of undying soldiers where when he shoots, they stay alive. he became broken in mind and got into a point of seeing things that are no longer there and sees all soldiers as enemies, even civilians. he wandered the battlefield into whats left of his supplies and started on a rampage. a friendly squad was sent to disable him. (not kill him, only to calm him down). few were killed and injured and then finally restrained him. PTSD anyone? he ends up breaking and crying. he was sent back to base for both punishment and reward.
but is he still sane?

Your guess was almost right :), the man in the image is Kiritsugu Emiya from Fate/Zero. I suggest you watch this anime (it is pretty good), then you can see how his life was fucked up.
insanity is a product of forcing sanity to a topic that will only destroy your heart. or insanity is a product of you being sane for too long when all you wanna do is break down and cry, so the question is, will he be sane, to only go insane again?

Fate/Zero has something that can't be found anywhere else.
Most of the time what we can see everywhere else is just a simple conflict between good and evil. Sometimes with a little plot twist which changes villain. But here we can witness something much more.
In this series YOU choose who is good and who is evil. Everything depends on you and your personal feelings.
You can either agree with Saber. Believe in heroism, chivalry and justice. You can believe that in every war and in every conflict there is pride to stand on the battlefield. To fight alongside your soldiers to save those who you love the most.
But is it really how things look like?
You can either agree with Kiritsugu. Believe that there isn't something like heroism, chivalry and justice in any war. You can believe that every war is just a slaughter without any pride in it. You can believe that there aren't any rules on war. There is only death. Kill those who are a thread no matter how and no matter what is the cost. Kill one to save many. Kill so others doesn't have to.
But is it really how things look like?
Is it really just a matter of who is good and who is evil? What if everyone is mistaken? What if everyone is right?
It depends on you.
Pick your side. Sooner or later you will have to.
Pick. Pick one: dark or darker.
But which is which? Nobody knows.
Indeed, is and will be one of the best anime shows/visual novels out there. And no, this is not a matter of opinion, it's just a fact. :)
How about One Piece? What about the marines? Is that justice? Akoji (a really super strong admiral) left the marines because he thought it's not justice. And in World War Z, how about Z, could you explain him to me?

You mean Fate/Zero? Definitely. It's quite long but you will love it. If you never met any show from Fate series then you propably will have hard time understanding everything but it's not that hard.
It's one of my favourite shows ever. Give it a try :)

Basically, it’s about seven people from different background fighting for a Holy Grail that can supposedly grant a wish for the last one standing, and each of the seven people has a ‘Servant’, which are heroes from the past resurrected into the modern world.
Note: it’s depressing af but really really good. I cried at the end

I think this song so describes the current condition of the human race. Not that the world is cold, but that we are all kinda innocent children with thorns in our hearts. And our love and pain becomes hate. I often ask myself those questions, "How did I get here? When did it start? Is there someone to blame?" Don't get me wrong, I have a good life. But when thinking about the negative things I ask myself these questions. So, really good song and good nightcore.

ItsJordannn〈3 the worlds the best it's ever been the rate of death for unnatural causes such as death in wars, violent attacks, ect is the lowest it's ever been per population size ever. The biggest problem is the media which overdramatizes everything.
Also death by starvation/ malnutrition and easy to treat diseases. It's almost disheartening to think about all the ways people have died but society as a whole is pretty good at keeping us running until we're old fucks in our 80s now.

There are still homophobic, transphobic, and even racist people in the world. The world is full of hate. There is so much negativity that the positivity might as well not exist. I am a terrible person who has done terrible things and so is everyone else. No human is innocent. This world can’t be saved. We are beyond saving. We need to be wiped off the planet.

Hey yall in 2021 I just wanna say that every 40secs a person has died to suicide...it is the 2nd most cause of deaths and about 800,000 people die yearly by it...so every 40secs I say a silent prayer to whoever has died...why don't we all start doing this every day so the people who have left this world don't feel forgotten...
