I am having issues with my 06 raptor 700r it barely idles and when I give it throttle it’s fine in the low end but midrange it starts backfiring and Boggs down when I give it anymore. It ran perfectly before the exhaust and tuner were on and I have not changed the settings.

That's strange, can you confirm your Optimizer Settings. If the Optimizer is set correctly, please verify the Optimizer mode and slightly add or subtract fuel and recheck for performance gains. Mode 1: Green: 4.0 Mode 2: Amber: 3.5 Mode 3: Red: 2.0 Mode 4: Green/Blue: 3.0 Mode 5: Amber/Blue: 3.5 Mode 6: Red/Blue: 4.0
I have a 2013 raptor 700 with hmf exhaust and optimizer . How do I reset the mode to when I originally hooked it up.? I messed with the modes and I’m not to familiar with it. I don’t want to ruin my bike or motor if that’s possible. Thanks

On a machine such as an Outlander 450 a change in air filter to a K&N, or other aftermarket filter, changes to the HMF Optimizer's pre-programmed tune are not typically required.
@@HMFExhaustswith the key on 1 & 8 blink green, idle 1 & 2 stay solid green. It was shipped with a hmf slip on and a pro design flange was put on with k&n filter with out wear air box lid on... i just dint wanna monkey with it if its set where it should be...
You need to make sure you set the settings to what we recommend. Setting all of the modes to the lowest setting is going to cause issues. Visit hmfracing.com/tech for more information and your specific settings.
@@Calii8708 Those are the fuel settings for the HMF Fuel Optimizer for a 2022 Raptor 700R. As stated in the video, there are 6 modes to change the settings and the settings provided are for an HMF exhaust on a 22 Raptor. Did you mean something else when asking "What mode to put it on?"
When you mention "stock settings", are you referring to the stock settings of our HMF Optimizer, or the stock settings of your vehicle? If you install an HMF exhaust on the Raptor 700, a new fuel tuner or settings are required. www.hmfracing.com/exhausts/yamaha/raptor-700 If you already have an HMF exhaust with the HMF optimizer preprogrammed for your Raptor 700, then you may need to tweak the settings for the aftermarket air intake.
@@HMFExhausts I was referring to the stock settings of the optimizer. I found on yalls website that mode 2 and 3 have to be switched to 4.0 and 3.0 if an air intake is installed so it’s taken care of but thanks for taking the time to reply👍🏻
@@theofficialk.a.m...p4760 The fuel optimizer changes the air/fuel settings on the bike to keep it from running too rich or too lean because putting on a new exhaust will change the air/fuel ratio. If you ordered the HMF optimizer and all you're doing is adding an aftermarket HMF exhaust and not an air intake then you can just throw it on with the exhaust and be done cuz it's already preprogrammed to work with it
Yea I got a 2021 yfz hmf comp slip on hmf fuel optimization and ais delete and speed sensor delete and gytr intake I talk to Brian at hmf he said the tunner has to be tweaked when installing a intake

Yeah had mine on about a year the check engine light stays on took it to the dealer hooked it up to computer turns out the optimizer is junk. Emailed hmf got no reply. Better off buying a EHS tuner
Hey Great video but I have a question so I have a 08 Honda trx 700xx and I have the big gun exhaust but I don’t have a fuel optimizer I tried find the big gun fuel optimizers i found one but I couldn’t buy cause it didn’t meet California laws Will this hmf work for my quad even though I have the big gun exhaust?
This Fuel Controller will work with any exhaust, but the fuel settings preprogrammed on the Optimizer are for HMF exhausts. You may have to tweak your Optimizer settings... or just get an HMF exhaust ;)

If u cant find the fuel injector(s) on your machine, I don't recommend you install this tuner yourself, no disrespect.

Works well,sounds great. But i lost about 60km per tank of fuel. That doesn't seem right

Your YFZ will need a Fuel Controller to manage the air-fuel ratio. The HMF Optimizer will come preprogrammed for your vehicle.
