@@blazinpuffs I’m disappointed because everything else is so good imo, and it feels like in her case it could be a matter of the direction she was given, since she comes across so much flatter than the original. Like people were rightfully pissed off about James’ over-the-top mopey expression in the reveal trailer and told Bloober to be more subtle in the performances, and they extended that even to Maria, whose actress took it a bit too far. I think this because they did respond to the controversy and correct James, and it seems that every character was told to deliver their lines in a more reserved, often soft manner. I just think it works for the others and not Maria. Or, the actress could just be a bit weak, but I don’t know enough behind the scenes to make that claim
Akira absolutely cooked with unhinged betrayal. And kudos to bloober for nailing the remake. Apart from some Maria voice acting they improved on the original in every way. I’m ready for the comeback of silent hill franchise
Naaahh, more than just “some Maria voice acting.” A lot of aspects are inferior here, cinematography, art direction, scene framing/lighting at times, and they botched the most important scenes from Maria in the prison cell to the letter reading and the burning staircase. Angela’s actress is clearly trying and I do think she has some good moments here. But almost all of Maria’s scenes are inferior and it makes me sad since they’re the emotional core of the story I do definitely think there are some improvements though, all of Eddie’s scenes are 10/10 and as a lifelong fan I do think they made his storyline way better than the original. To say it “improved in every way” is absolutely ludicrous, though. It doesn’t have the same magic, and it never could have, so they went for a completely different tone than the original. Before it was surrealistic, uncanny, nightmarish, where here it’s more naturalistic and dramatic. I think it works most of the time, but in no way whatsoever does it replace the original.
People complained it was too hammy compared to the original. Either way I don’t think his cry is as raw or authentic-feeling as the original, and I actually like this new James

I hate to be negative, but they did the letter dirty. Clearly a professional capital-A actor and all that, but you can't beat the original actress who literally started to tear up and cry for real reading it.
Oh, well.
In water is just... Wow...
The Camera Although Is Similar To All Resident Evil Remakes And Shadows Of Rose DLC
Finally!
Aversion: she'll keep herself in a cage near you to run away from herself
It'd be great to put on the new Capcom game called Konami vs. Capcom. Sounds catchy, doncha think?
waiting for full game
Fast bro.
"Ah Jim, it's time for the silent hill 2 final boss" "Oh yeah? That was always a little flawed wasn't it, what could we do to improve it while still being respectful" Jim takes a line of cocaine, the answer was clear.
"WE HAVE HIS DEAD WIFE TURN INTO A BED SPIDER AND TURN THE FIGHT INTO A MULTIPLE PHASE FINALE BOSS WHICH TELEPORTS AROUND THE ARENA WHILE YOU FIRE A GATLING GUN AMMOUNT OF AMMO INTO IT"
"Jim that's brilliant."
What a joke.
The Original Fight is way too easy you know.
The disease Mary died from: Chicken Pox
I wonder what they did with the Promise ending
Does the game have extra weapons for a new game? Like infinite weapons or infinite resources
There's the chainsaw you can get at the very beginning of your new game plus playthrough at the Silent Hill Ranch
Did they change the letter? Cause I believe the original was perfect, kinda sucks tbh
The "james, you made me happy" delivery is weak, doesn't even sound like she means it.
Seriously. So disappointed in the letter reading. That’s supposed to be the emotional core of the game and it just has no impact here. Original used to bring me to tears in the right headspace.
@@Gmanawesomenessyeah Maria) Mary's VA sucked big time.
Probably took awhile for him to beat the game that’s why , I mean look how long it took for him to beat this …
Mary is beautiful here in remake. No offense.
Is there dog ending
Yes
That scream was so funny
Akira absolutely cooked with unhinged betrayal. And kudos to bloober for nailing the remake. Apart from some Maria voice acting they improved on the original in every way. I’m ready for the comeback of silent hill franchise
Naaahh, more than just “some Maria voice acting.” A lot of aspects are inferior here, cinematography, art direction, scene framing/lighting at times, and they botched the most important scenes from Maria in the prison cell to the letter reading and the burning staircase. Angela’s actress is clearly trying and I do think she has some good moments here. But almost all of Maria’s scenes are inferior and it makes me sad since they’re the emotional core of the story
I do definitely think there are some improvements though, all of Eddie’s scenes are 10/10 and as a lifelong fan I do think they made his storyline way better than the original.
Call me modern but I like the cinematography focusing on the characters instead of using too many overhead shots
I’m looking for the dog ending
Where's the dog?
I ordered it on gamefly pre order and still haven't got the game in the mail lol
The game aint even out yet....💀
His reaction had better animation in the announcement trailer than here… 0:49
People complained it was too hammy compared to the original. Either way I don’t think his cry is as raw or authentic-feeling as the original, and I actually like this new James
I choose the water ending. James died by drowning himself in Toluka lake.
Humm the piramid head only have 2 attack style? Kindda stiff...
Lets just said the more you realize your Mistake, the weaker Pyramid head will be
I’m excited to get this game! The changes look like they add to the horror
who tf post ending first
So no dog or ufo ending?
Picking stuff off the wall is fkn ridiculous
Not my man getting the Maria ending 💀😭
Fuck this, wheres the dog ending?
This is the only part that bloober makes it better than the original: 9:50
I kind of prefer original game but is ok
Where UFO ending
ESTEEE IJUE LA GRAN MEMA YA SUBIO EL BOSS FINAL 😓
Where is the "Leave" ending?
Are these devs allergic to showing pyramid head outright kill her and her screaming? What a pathetic remake of the climax.
I got different ending mine safe mary
they should had remake first game instead...not sh2 ...it didn't had any interest back then that made story different from first one...what the irony is sh3 was better game overall...same for sh4 but downfall began with sh1 and sh2 ...then sh5 and sh6. Konami was losing ton money back then for making sh after sh titles ...most expensive to date was sh5...and cancel silent hills broke record in spending over 100 million to start the project and ending up spending another 100 million to add more content
I agree but Silent Hill 2 is regarded as the best Silent Hill which is why they skipped the first game. Maybe they'll remake the first game next and then 3.
The engine similar with resident evil 🤣🤣🤣
Judging on how many times you got hit and still survived I am going to assume you are playing on easy mode
I like this game but,no details in the weapons like Place the weapon on the right or left shoulder and back
Not that kind of game, don’t want to see intentionally unimposing non-threatening James walking around decked out with a full arsenal
