I've been watching you channel since the days when Dan was a regular. What appealed to me and set your channel apart was how you showed the slow hunts and the missed shots. It made your content much more relatable to me as an average 15-20 day a year duck hunter. Don't be reluctant to post the hunts where you struggle, even if they don't drive traffic. They have some value to those of us who do this every season on public land.
Thank you for sharing your thoughts Jeff. I understand what you are saying 100%. It's something i'm struggling with. I do plan to try and get back to more of those types of videos.
I too appreciate those videos but also I understand how difficult it is to edit and upload content. it's not easy to take the time to upload content you know isn't gonna be successful. Do what's right for you and your family/ crew and you can't go wrong. Thanks for the content fdh!
I absolutely agree with Jeff. I’ve been watching you since your first season and I really loved how you struggled some years. It absolutely makes you much more relatable than some of these other channels that only show hunts where they smash limits.
You inspired me as an east coast hunter to start my own UA-cam hunting channel
Me and a few of my army buds just got into duck hunting out here in SC. We been hitting DNR land and just found out the swamp in my back yard is a gold mine ! Getting into waterfowl hunting is the best thing I’ve done .
Amen!! The camaraderie the SH** TALKING the back slapping the memories....It is what duck hunting is all about!! Seeing sunrises with your best friends. Talking past hunts, reliving the hunts with folks that have passed on. Bringing new folks into the sport. You can smell like a goats behind or just out of the shower and the ducks don't care. Your buddies might...lol Coffee always smells better in a duck blind.
Some of the best days of my life have been in a duck blind along with my Lab Max and my buddies Tom, Mike P and Mike G, Jerry and Hunter. Max passed on 20 years ago but I just picked up a Chesapeake Bay Retriever puppy and we named him Rip. I am 57 years old and I may have another dog in me. But I believe Rip may be my last. Which I am fine with. GOD Bless all my fellow duck hunters.

Elliot that was a great hunt. You get some you miss some I think the most of us that watch yours and others channel is that we are not the everyday Duck Hunter only the Weekend Warrior Hunters thanks for showing the good with the bad. Enjoyed it as always.

This looks just like Kirwin, but Kirwin is way to dry for it to be. That part of Kansas is the most dry I’ve ever seen in my years of Kansas hunting. We absolutely CRUSHED them on the Arkansas River tho

I’m here in central GA as well.. go hit up Oconee River, BeaverDamn WMA, or Cedar Creek. If you haven’t already that is. It’s hard getting on em’ but definitely worth every second of it once you do.
Congrats for the hunting for me there are two rules that we must respect. 1 dont shoot birds on the water, 2 treat the dead birds with respect. We are not killers we are HUNTERS!!
Yes, and as hunters we want to take the most ethical shot that will produce the highest odds for a clean kill. Unfortunately sometimes that means shooting them on the water.

So you feel making sure it’s “sporting” is more important than making sure you get a clean kill? To me making sure I don’t wound and lose birds is 10000 times more important than making sure I achieve some fantasy idea of “sporting”
